The voice acting is terrible. They have no range, wrong voices for wrong characters, at times its like nails in a chalkboard.
This show isn't made for the old fans and new younger people aren't going to watch this mundane horse shit when they got better cartoons or better yet Twitch, YT content and Tiktok.

The animation for this series has two major problems that magnify one another:
>1 - Uniform line weight (and colored lines)
This shit just looks fucking awful and ruins every single frame. With uniform line weight these designs look uncanny, because they were originally made to have a thick outline with fine details on the inside lines where colors meet or there are sharp angles. It's why the Fifi image in the OP looks like she's wearing the bottom of her face as a mask and the lighter part of her tail looks like a separate object. The animators are attempting to compensate for this by using lighter grey lines but it doesn't work.

A huge part of the kind of cartoonishly expressive animation the original had and this show is attempting is how the exaggerated features impact the rest of the body. The new show tends to keep a lot of the body static and on-model when these over-expressive moments happen, whereas in looney tunes and the original show one feature growing and changing would warp and pull and push on the rest of the face or body.
These two problems in conjunction make the animation as a whole look very cheap and disjointed, like every character is assembled from pre-made parts that don't quite fit like B^U

It’s because TMS was in financially dire straits in the early 90s and had to do outsourced studio work to survive, so the west could get them cheap and the original TMS Tiny Toons episodes are some of the best animation that has ever graced tv. And that’s what people are comparing to

Thats just one of Famicom's lies, Bye Bye Lady Liberty and especially Anpanman is what saved TMS from Little Nemo's bombing and if you were around in the anime scene back then you will understand why TMS needed Bye Bye Lady Liberty and Anpanman to bail them out of Little Nemo.
It's also why TMS kept on doing them until 2013, it was a extremally easy source of money for them.
Telecom, the TMS division who was actually did Tiny Toons on the other hand was just ran by westaboos.
Most of that Telecom crew left after Return of the Joker was finished as they had no interest in doing anime.
The rest either got laid off and went to Ghibli (and retired by The Wing Rises) or went freelanced (namely Toshihiko Masuda, Kenji Hachizaki and Hiroyuki Aoyama) (Shoujirou Nishimi and 2 others meanwhile went to Studio 4°C) because of Secret of Cerulean Sand's bombing.
The few that did stay at Telecom retired after doing The Aikatsu Movie for Sunrise and even fewer are still at the studio (Nobuo Tomizawa, Kazuhide Tomonaga, Yoshinoibu Michihata, Hisao Yokobori and Yuichiro Yano are the only ones left from that era, and the later 2 barely do anything anymore due to semi-retiring after Lupin III Part V/Fujiko's Lie).
TMS/Telecom also wasn't cheap, otherwise Wang and Akom (Koko/Dong Yang in Batman's case) wouldn't be hied.

This, This was probably the stupidest direction the showrunners could take for a reboot. This is like making a reboot for Gravity Falls, but Dipper and Mable are introduced as a couple and were never related. It's THAT fucking weird and off-putting. Here is why I am conflicted - I have often thought about starting to draw because I want to draw what I'm into. However I feel pursuing art with that mindset with lead me down a path to failure, because I'm not drawing for the love of drawing, I'm drawing for the love of chasing after my own fetishes.
Sure, I have heard people getting into art solely because they wanted to make their own fetishes a reality, but I feel its a 50/50 shot of actually becoming a decently skilled good artist while the other half ends up with 5000 submissions on DA of the same low quality MSPaint art of their fetish that while the fetish aspect is always there, the improvement in skill never came.
And like, how do you ever get over your own cringe aspect of what you are into? Like, I know some things I like are niche, I know they are ridiculed for being weird and not normal. In the very few times I have ever tried drawing what I like, I feel dejected and shameful, partly because it looks like shit, and partly because I realize what I like is looked down upon by others. I can't shake the feelings of negativity. But if the art is drawn by someone else, usually more skillful, I have no problems with it.

I wouldn’t recommend something to you unless I thought it would work. The famous artists cartoon course is available right now online, for free. And yes, you can be an artist even if you don’t show anyone your work. As long as you’re enjoying what you draw, and that’s the most important part.

Concept art usually looks better than the final product, especially with recent shows. It's a sign that something went wrong with production, as oppose to its pre-production.

Given how often this happens, it speaks more to the complete disconnect between the pre-production artists and the actual animators in modern cartoon pipelines. This problem doesn't creep up as much when the designs and the animation are both handled in-house, as with Titmouse or Mercury, or most Japanese studios. When everyone is working together, designers can design for the animation department and highlight their strengths.
All of this strikes me as wasted and misdirected effort that doesn't help the animators do their jobs. It's a shame because these are nice.

Well...I binge watched it last weekend. It has like zero staying power. 10 episodes and nothing memorable. Just blankly going through the motions like a old married couple, without passion waiting for each other to hurry up and finish already. Kind of sad.
Should I watch it again? I feel like I'm missing something here. That many animators/writers/artists couldn't possibly produce something that inept.
Watch it for Hamton's arc. Realizing he's the main protag makes it more watchable.
The only thing youre missing is the time spent watching it which couldve gone to better endeavours. What you saw is what it is, no passion, no funny, not much anything. Just something the animators/writers/artists did as a clock in, turn brain off, clock out deal.

I liked it for what it is, but that's might just be because these days I have a soft spot for light-on-narrative cartoons like this. It's definitely a tough recommendation, and I'd say if you give the first few eps a try and just don't get into it, then don't bother. You're not missing anything.
