>Buster and Babs are twins
>Fifi is a poet
>Sweetie is a main character
>The Loonieversity is now a performing arts school and the show is about discovering yourself in college
>Babs is now voiced by Ashleigh Crystal Hairston, very little of the original cast and crew is returning
Thoughts?
Kino
>Elmyra
Fake, she was removed.
Also Spielberg said this is the best version of Tiny Toons
It's real
>Also Spielberg said this is the best version of Tiny Toons
People involved with selling these products and working on them will always say it's great and the best ever, that's like saying that a commercial said that a product is good as a good review. Only later sometimes long after the fact some people can admit that they always knew something sucked.
>Also Spielberg said this is the best version of Tiny Toons
What a way to shit on Ruegger's hard work.
Isn’t Elmyra going to Chuck Norris Elementary or something?
If she's 13 or 14 in TT, Pinky, Elmyra and the Brain is probably a prequel to TT. None of the other TT characters appear in it either.
You're putting far more thought into it than they did.
Yeah I know.
>fifi with a default outfit
ruined
People completely forgot her first appearance on the original series that she wore clothes.
Pretty sure that's not her first appearance. From what I can remember, she didn't wear any clothes except for a cheerleader outfit, swimsuit, party clothes, a Zatanna costume, and that green dress.
I'm probably missing some, but those are the ones that I clearly remember. 9 times out 10 she wore no clothes.
Deleting character development isn't ok
not her first appearance but she was cuter wearing more
>No bisexual harem with everyone wearing the same outfit as you
Why live
Coomers are meant to suffer.
Calling it now, new show will not have a single panty shot of Babs.
Bless you TMS and your fanservicing Japs.
Even Amphibia couldn't completely avoid upskirt shots of Anne. It's inevitable if that's her default design
You underestimate how far the new generation will go to make things look "proper". If anything, she'll have spat shorts underneath.
>spaty boxer undies
Called it and knew it.
She seems to be wearing a skirt again so it'll be very hard to not have at least one
Wait, did Babs's design usually have underwear? That seems off to me.
She didn't were panties in the vacation movie
It depended on the episode. Each studio had slightly different takes on the designs and even within a studio, they didn't always stay consistent.
TMS and other studios went back and forth with it. She either had them, or nothing.
The only obvious red flags are:
1. Not bringing back as many of the original WRITERS as they could. Recasting makes sense, some of the original VA cast have passed away. Eventually that needs to happen. Not consulting with Tom Ruegger is a red flag though.
2. Sweetie as a main character. Literally nobody liked Sweetie. She's probably only a main so they can have Tweety Bird in it as her mentor.
3. Wish Elmyra was really gone and hope she'll either just have cameos or be redone to not suck so badly. As a college student her old personality would be really annoying and WTF, she even is dressed like a 7 year old in this promo art.
4. If Buster and Babs are actually twin brother and sister that'll be weird as frick.
Everything else it could be good, could be bad. No way of knowing. I think Fifi and Shirley's new looks are cute and the rest look in line with always (except for Sweetie who sucks anyway).
Tom Ruegger likes it
After the creator or Rescue Rangers "liked" the live action shitfest, this kind of endorsement now means nothing.
Ruegger endlessly trashed the Animaniacs reboot so to see him like this is... actually really surprising
Of course he doesn't know what the writing situation is yet
That's understandable, Numaniacs uses Spumco people who hated Animaniacs's style and made it more like the one they like which of course Ruegger would dislike.
He's just praising the art. And it is good art.
Good point.
Yeah Tweety Bird sells a shit load of merchandise still. So I'm sure they got her as a main character for that
Or they just demand more female characters in the spotlight, like nu-Rugrats did with Susie.
>like nu-Rugrats did with Susie.
Wasn't she always in the spotlight? At least when Angelica was.
>Not bringing back as many of the original WRITERS as they could.
Gonna be LOL DRUMP and MANSPREADING LOL 2. They ruined Animaniacs and they'll ruin this.
Thankfully Trump is no longer relevant, so they can't ruin their scripts with that form of woke virtue signaling anymore without looking extremely dated. You'll definitely get lots of Putin jokes though, and maybe some groan worthy "jokes" about covid.
Nah, we're on an election year, the left is violently afraid he's going to run and probably win, if he goes against Slow Joe again, and the Jan 6 news cycle whirlwind is in full-force in the hopes they can dig up enough dirt to make it illegal for him to run again.
We're not getting rid of hamfisted Trump jokes any time soon.
Guarantee we're getting an actually almost-borderline funny gag from Yosemite Sam about gun control, too.
Who was replaced, VA wise?
Yeah, Sweetie is just a bad move.
When I first saw the concept art of her as a punk, I though "Cool, they realized people hated her and decided to make her a villain, that's a great idea".
but now I see they're trying to force her as a primary character.
Like, why? Sweetie's shorts in loony toons worked because Sylvester was a jerk, and tweety didn't start the fights (Usually), so his sociopathism was acceptable. But Sweetie plays off FURBALL, the nicest guy in the show next to hampton. You can't enjoy seeing her hurt him at all.
This just seems like when the execs forced elmyra into pinkie and the brain.
>>Fifi is a poet
>recites poetry in front of class
>gets nervous
>keeps getting interrupted by her own 'nerve gas'
>gets embarrassed
>results in more 'nerve gas' until she runs to the girls' bathroom
Twins thing is not confirmed
It came from the panel host
Posting new leaks from the last thread in case you haven't seen them
Foghorn is HUGE
he's a big guy
I feel like they're probably going to spotlight the original Looney Tunes a lot more here, they were in the original a fair bit but not usually a big focus. For branding reasons I expect a lot more with them here.
Wile E. Coyote having more of a "mad scientist" theme fits with Calamity and might mean he'll be in it (even though he's on that art I know there was some doubt). Calamity Coyote being a mad scientist was a thing more than for Wile E. who bought what he used, a little proto-Pinky and the Brain vibes.
Such smart animals, these coyotes.
Why haven't the cast appeared to age at all? Original series they were like 12-13 years old. They are college students now. So they are like 18-20. They are basically adults, so why aren't they at least a bit taller?
Imo they should only be slightly shorter than characters like Bugs and Daffy.
The simple answer might be they keep calling it college but it's still some sort of weird high school hybrid and they are still 14.
Might also just want to be "faithful" to the original or something where they are tiny. Also seems to be some variations between images used so who knows
They aged in the OG series as they progressed through school, too.
It's their canon reason for why the girls (and especially Babs) had more boob gags and were generally bustier more often.
Why did they make Granny pretentious? Is this her new thing after being so epic hardcore matrix woman in space jam 2?
>9/10
>10/10
please tell me there is more that hasn't been posted
The other pictures are unrelated to Tiny Toons
I'll take em anyway
I think they didn't post this one ITT
>one dot on foot
I'm not a footgay but its like, anything to save a few cents on the animation, am I right. Same thing with Babs two solid eyelashes.
Would've saved more if they didn't draw them at all. Rabbits don't have pawpads.
So its better with just one?
I'm not a furry not a footgay, but they just shouldn't have any. Looks weird to me both ways.
There's a rumored last pic they showed that isn't the one in the OP with Gogo and Shirley, but I haven't seen it posted anywhere
Apparently it's not this one because they said Montana Max and Elmyra wasn't in it
Seeing how they are faded into the dark there I'm not surprised.
>Foghorn is HUGE and has moobs
I am looking respectfully
Is it gonna have a bunch of very dated, woke jokes like Nu Animaniacs?
Maybe, but it's made by different people at least.
Would you? Load her up on burritos for dinner and take her to the movies afterwards that is.
suicide method?
Only if she loses her grip
Look up the showrunner's body of work, the scripts are going to be pure cringe.
There are two now, the other worked on Over the Garden Wall so there's a shot
That person is there for the animation side of things and not going to be undermining Gibson's story editing.
I hope it will be better than Nu-Animaniacs and that there won't be jokes like 1990s teen sitcoms or the use of ironic humor from 2010s, I'm sick of that kind of stuff after watching modern cartoons. If this turns out to be as desperate as Nu-Animaniacs, then Warner Bros. better hold off on any future reboots.
>Buster and Babs are twins
But the joke is "Buster and Babs Bunny, no relation"
How could you botch that line you twits
They also dated in the original series. Turning them into siblings would be kinda stupid. Also problematic if new fans go back and watch the 90's series.
Refer
. It's a mistake on the host's part.
Who do you think they will date now that they're twins?
Was that confirmed?
They will still be dating each other but in secret
You will ship them anyway.
Elmyra and Max.
Little details that are wrong or missing piss me off, fricking artists gets your shit together.
Babs has one tooth in front, not two.
She has a smaller nose than Buster.
Busters nose is light pink not red.
Feet have three dots and are color coded to the character.
Feet look different between the two of them
Insides of their ears should be lighter shade of pink.
It looks like if Disney did TTA.
>artists links Twitter and Insta only no art gallery
Frickin under 25 zoomer than likely never saw the original show. Get fricked.
No, I did not make a mistake. Yes, this IS about you:
If you are actually the artist of that, no, you don't have a leg to stand on in this regard. Either do it right, or don't do it at all.
It can't possibly be worse than the original show. I'm just waiting for all the new art.
>Buster and Babs are twins
That's going to make the porn so much better.
>>Babs is now voiced by Ashleigh Crystal Hairston
Let me guess
Doesn't that ruin the entire "No relation" joke they did every time they introduced themselves together?
And the punchline from Animaniacs (though I guess he could be interpreting "no relation" to mean "no sexual relations?" IDK)
I think it was referring to the fact that it was a Noah's Ark parody and if the male+female animals boarding were related, it would result in incest, which would be fricked up for a children's show.
Yeah, I guess if they're going on the ark then he must assume they'll be having sex.
It's not an incest joke since they're explicitly not related, it's a sex joke. No sex on the kids' show.
first look at the logo in the bottom left
Not much different from the old one
The main difference is that new logo has Tiny TOONS written on it, for some reason only the French version of the intro did that: https://youtube.com/watch?v=TcrFZEzMLBY
it clearly has "looniversity" written on the banner at the bottom where the "adventures" once was
and Babs are twins
I'm sorry WHAT?!
They are not supposed to be related, that was the long running joke of the old series! They have kissed several times.
You have never kissed your sister on the lips before?
A con host probably messed up. Outside of here, I haven't seen anyone talking about that.
>Buster and Babs are twins
Didnt they frick?
No but flirted a bit
>all those prude artists that didn't want to draw lewds cause they were 14-15 will now draw them because they are collage age
>they look exactly the same
Amazing how moronic some artists are, good for us, I guess.
>discovering yourself in college
Aren't they 14?
Apparently college age now
They go to "Looniversity", I'm pretty sure the toon school system is different from the regular one
I hope people don't actually think Buster and Babs are related. It was clearly a mistake.
No fricking way are they actually going to be twins. That will just make the original show weird.
Incase the thread get canned, come talk here
Stage 1 is denial
Shirley's design is nothing special, but I'm gonna miss that huge front curl and the bow.
Any more pages of that?
Right here is where some dickhead decided to give these characters "ages" and ruin the lewds for 30 years. Their older counterparts never had ages.
They were all obviously young kids.
It's ok
We finally made it when it matters
Babs says she's 14 in the first episode,
>Implying most anons in this thread have watched the show.
>most are 13 or 14
Huh??? Most of them behaved like 9 or 10 year old Elementry School kids.
Wait they're mostly 13 to 14 year olds?!?
The way they act I could've sworn they were like 8-9 year olds
Holy fricking shit, I forgot just how utterly shitty Sweetie treated Furball from the start.
I hope Kennedy animators are all homeless.
The animation is really bad holy shit
If he really becomes a main character then the reboot will be straight up unwatchable
>he
Sweetie bird is a girl.
Minor spelling mistake
She*
The character is almost definitely being characterized differently.
This show isn't bringing back any VAs, they are for sure doing their own thing with how these characters are portrayed

Not bad, actually. And since it's a reboot, not a sequel, it can theoretically be good on its own.
It can't. Check the showrunner and writers. They're gen-Zombie gays. They can't write something good if you put a gun in their collective mouth.
If they wanted a good Tiny Toons show they should have hired the showrunners behind Mao Mao, Dan Vs, Solar Opposites, Duck Dodgers, Beavis and Butt-Head, The Tick, The Mask, The Aquabats, Life with Louie, maybe Camp WWE and Brickleberry for the cheap generic gags and ridiculous gross plots.
Gibson is actually one of the last Gen Xers but Xers are stereotypically insecure and forever chasing trends and youth. Tiny Toons was a boomer show.
>That episode where Bugs catches Buster and Babs smoking outside one of the buildings
Bugs being used as a moral symbol is fairly bizarre when he's famous as a crazed antisocial character. He should be the one secretly smoking and drinking in a paranoid Prohibition-style setting, as a joke, and the inner madness slowly unfolding. Guess you can't do that kinda stuff anymore.
I wish Babs was my daughter
direct feed of the first art we got from the SDCC panel yesterday
Damn they really need to turn on the lights
I like how the image we were going off looked very vibrant and lively with the lights, and honestly the real art looks dim and depressing
It's crazy to me that a cartoon that was only on for two years in the early 90s is apparently more valuable than a new idea. WB's really scraping around the barrel. Animators gotta eat, though.
I don't think this reboot would ruin anyone's childhood or anything, the original itself wasn't a masterpiece and the first season in particular had a noticeable chunk of episodes based around moral messages like not stealing, not cheating, etc. It was still the early 90s. So conceptually, you could be just as cynical as the old Tiny Toons one acknowledging that they're knockoffs and where Babs and Buster would fake enthusiasm for others' cartoons.
But I really don't see how this is going to do anything for WB animation's brand. They just had "classic style" Looney Tunes cartoons where they tried as hard as they could with the budget they had to be like the originals and still no one cared. If the reception was that icy, how are Tiny Toons going to do any better with viewers? Who bet on this horse and why?
This cartoon aired for 98 episodes, 1 direct-to-video movie, and two specials and the reruns aired for a few years after they stopped making new ones. They revived it because 90s nostalgia is now in and Animaniacs was more of a success than they thought it would be, so WB wants a 90s nostalgia cartoon of their own that you can watch on HBO Max instead of Hulu.
>They revived it because 90s nostalgia is now in and Animaniacs was more of a success than they thought it would be
90s nostalgia was a 2010s thing, we are in 2000s nostalgia now, these things cycle in 20 year gaps, much like how the 80s were big in the 2000s and the 70s made a comeback in the 1990s.
For someone like me born in the mid 80s, something like a TTA and Animaniacs reboot should have come out ten years ago. Not only would have nu-Animaniacs fared much better, but I would have been in my 20s and in a better position in my life to watch and care. As I slowly get closer to 40 I basically grew up and out of this stuff, (changing tastes and lack of time) and I am pretty bitter with regards to how something like the new Space Jam or CDRR movie was handled.
I honestly don't hold out alot of hope for the TTA reboot, new writers have proven themselves worthless with regards to Animaniacs. If anything, the best thing the TTA reboot will give us is that it was basically the key we needed to unlock a vault of new lewds from porn artists that would have never touched these characters previously because they were minors, which is funny as frick to me because they look exactly the same, but because the "canon aged them up", its a-okay by many atists' standards.
>90s nostalgia was a 2010s thing, we are in 2000s nostalgia now
Boomers are aging out so with Xers and older Millennials taking up the reins of things now, the '90s for the next few decades are going to be what the '60s were until recently.
Plucky looks so completely done with everything in what we've seen so far
If you guys don't start knocking on doors at these talentless zoomers and executices, producers, HR roasties who hire them over good writers/directors then nothing is going to change.

Any cameo predictions?
Any character in the back who hasn't had a redesign (so everyone but Shirley, Fifi and Furrball) are going to be cameo characters who only appear once in awhile at most, if not only once
Someone like Elmyra screams a one episode cameo
I want Roderick and Rhubella Rat to come back.
God frick that host moderator, things were going swimmingly and now we're going to have months of anons pissed off under the false claim that they are "twins" because they couldn't use the right words to describe them
People here said that it would be aged up even though there was no proof of it for a year and still isn't.
They keep mentioning them being in college specifically. Not "looniversity" but college as direct words. That's implying, unless they mention otherwise which is still possible, that they are college aged.
Also if you look at Acme Acres it really looks like a proper college campus. That alongside the college coffee hangout, the redesigns, and one of the leaks from ages ago showed them in dorms
>looniversity
That meant university, going to college is a downgrade. Moreover, them being 13-14 a canon really made no sense if they were in "university". Should have made them 18-19 from the start. Or, just called it school.
It was just called a "looniversity" because of the pun. Though in terms of plots the character ages seemed all over the place. I mean, they're toons, they get into weird shit, but sometimes it felt like they were adults, sometimes it felt like they were kids, sometimes it felt like they were very little kids, sometimes it felt like they were awkwardly going through puberty kids. It was a mess all around.
Was the moron like, 20?
Its also easier to revamp a pre-existing franchise than make a completely new one from scratch.
