Knowing nothing else and just inventing a context that she's talking about a stint in a POW camp or something similar, I actually quite like this. She went crazy and betrayed her one friend. Sure, good story of regret.
God imagine Wondy gulping down that rat. The bulge in her delicate throat as you watch the rat's hindquarters, legs and tail slowly slide down her gullet, her eyes rolling back in her head with every contraction of her throat muscles and gentle shudder of her shoulders. Why didn't they show not tell bros?
He co-wrote Grayson with Seeley so it's incredibly (and increasingly by the year) likely that that collaboration was the secret sauce to that book's entertainment value
See also how when Mikel Janin is great on that book and great with almost any other writer
He has an ability (skill?) at finding the mopey and damaged bits about whatever character he's writing. As long as you go in expecting that, what's the problem?
In a non-continuity story. Opening with Scott's suicide attempt set the tone for the entire series.
I'd be more upset over the changes to Batman. Nobody wanted a year of Batman crying over some pussy.
He creates those mopey damaged bits out of thin air and a majority of times it doesn’t even work or make sense for said character.
Kyle Rayner, a fairly laid back Irish artist was turned into a Spanish speaking super religious depressed person
Wally West, a man who grew into the flash and surpassed his predecessor became a depressed mental case that committed mass murder and tried to blame someone else for it
Booster Gold a man who despite the facade of his continuous self promoting has made countless sacrifices to protect the timestream was turned into a pants on head moronic butthole that will destroy the timeline for the lols
Scott Free a man who despite sending his entire childhood being tortured and abused by Darkseid still held onto his hope and optimism was turned into a suicidal butthole that would rather stay trapped instead of actually being Free
And that’s just a few of of his many terrible tales
Tom King is so fricking one note it hurts. All he does is mental issues, but he has NOTHING new to add to the conversation, nor does he explore these concepts well
He's kinda like Aaron and Millar for me at this point- there's some stuff I really like but a lot of stuff just gets bogged down by him trying to take his own spin on it. Also not sure there's a comic of his that's stuck the landing besides maybe Mister Miracle or Rorschach, even that's stretching it.
The only thing he's written that I like is Wonder Woman and his bad habits are keeping it from reaching its full potential. It's decent to good but hasn't reached greatness yet.
>superstar
He's crap. Hasn't produced a single worthwhile comic so far.
Knowing nothing else and just inventing a context that she's talking about a stint in a POW camp or something similar, I actually quite like this. She went crazy and betrayed her one friend. Sure, good story of regret.
You're close. She's still in her cell, her way of coping is talking to a hallucination of Steve Trevor.
there was some famous guy that fought his phobia by eating a rat, might be inspired by that too
Also Batman forced Robin to live off of rats in All Star Batman and Robin

Why didn’t anyone tell me he was into vore
I like him.
i dont know how he keeps getting work
Tom King is a writer who seems really talented until he writes any character you care about, and then you realize what's wrong with him.
No, I was pretty happy when he was writing my favorite character. Grayson was good.
He co-wrote Grayson with Seeley so it's incredibly (and increasingly by the year) likely that that collaboration was the secret sauce to that book's entertainment value
See also how when Mikel Janin is great on that book and great with almost any other writer
Grayson sucked.
Janin is pure fricking garbage on any book.
Good way of putting it
He has a bad habit of hammering other characters to fit the mopey damaged hero he can only write
He has an ability (skill?) at finding the mopey and damaged bits about whatever character he's writing. As long as you go in expecting that, what's the problem?
i get that but he goes to far
mr. miracle slitting his wrists was too much for me
oh and the 9 panel layout is way too overused by him
In a non-continuity story. Opening with Scott's suicide attempt set the tone for the entire series.
I'd be more upset over the changes to Batman. Nobody wanted a year of Batman crying over some pussy.
dunno that series was navel gazing to the max and not one panel was interesting after issue 1

the traced art and 3d photobashed background is more obnoxious than the homosexual king's self insert crying about how much wiener he sucks.
> There's some intern at the CIA who has to read every comic he writes
Imagine signing up and they just put you in the comic book review section
can i sign up even if i piss dirty?
I feel like the CIA hired him just so when they fired him other countries would be gaslit into thinking CIA agents are actual morons
Only DC pushes the idea that he's a superstar. He won't even be remembered as Bendis tier by the time he's done.
Demoralization propoganda and MKUltra lite programming.
Fun...
Tom King is so fricking one note it hurts. All he does is mental issues, but he has NOTHING new to add to the conversation, nor does he explore these concepts well
He should write something original
he works for a specific set of characters... unfortunately, its not the characters that are usually assigned to him
He's kinda like Aaron and Millar for me at this point- there's some stuff I really like but a lot of stuff just gets bogged down by him trying to take his own spin on it. He's a fricking idiot but he pisses off enough people on LOCG where I'm coming around to thinking he's based
The only thing he's written that I like is Wonder Woman and his bad habits are keeping it from reaching its full potential. It's decent to good but hasn't reached greatness yet.
