yknow i did notice quite a few archer notes, especially when showing a closer-up look at someone's face using the same model they use for the midshots, with no additional facial detailing added for the sake of the closeup? It really gives hints of archer, and makes it clear how they're using basic 3D models with added rendered details laid over top, and they really need to improve that one aspect, otherwise the animation and art have been fantastic.

Jesus Christ, you're deranged. You honestly expected the black suit to make it into the movie? The moralgays would have torn the film apart, and that's assuming the Disney suits approved it in the first place. You're right that the MCU has had the sex drained out of it, but out of everyone you could scapegoat, you pick Feige? You have no fricking clue what you're talking about. Feige was an "associate producer" on X-Men 2000. Do you know what that means? It means he was a fricking assistant to one of the actual producers, Lauren Shuler Donner. Feige was the one person on set who encouraged actors, mainly Hugh Jackman, to read the comics because Singer thought they were childish.

              From Hugh Jackman himself:
              >"By the way, comic books were banned on the set. Because Bryan Singer had this thing that people would think – he really wanted to take comic book characters seriously as real, three-dimensional characters. And he'd go, 'People who don't understand these comics might think they're two-dimensional.' So no one was allowed. It was like contraband. I'd never read X-Men, so people were [slipping] them under my door, I'm having a look, I'm reading these things. I'm looking and going, 'These are brilliant, look at the physicality!'"
              [. . .]
              >"I would go into [eventual Marvel Studios president]Kevin Feige's office, and it was wall-to-wall – not only comics all over the wall, like posters, but about 600 figurines of different characters. And I'd be like, 'What should I read?' And he'd say, 'You've gotta read this one. And you've gotta read the Japan. And you've gotta read the origins.' So he was slipping me stuff, and we've stayed friends ever since."

I mean, what can be said about someone talking about "corporate penis" when the series is simply adapting an arc from a comic book? The true scotsman knows where the elements being criticized came from, so they are a non-issue of the adaptation. It is fair to say "I do not prefer this look on Storm", but to say that "This look is indicative of a woke agenda and if you don't agree, you are sucking corporate penis" is not. Thus, you truly are no true Scotsman. Now, should the adaptation include elements not part of the original that stick out as weirdly contemporal, then we've got something to criticize. So far, we haven't.

Now that's disingenious against a black background, because the black stripes on her thighs make it seem like she has sticks for legs at first glance. I know this is a picture for ants, but you can clearly see she got da boom booty.

Don't think so, chief, the new episodes grace us with a shot right up her crotch that also shows off her butt and the fabric is eating into it harder than in the on-model sheet.

Not shills. Three types of people:
                OP is a shit poster
Some normal people that actually want to see the show done right.
And the rest are a bunch of moronic, super-emasculated, malding men that have never done anything masculine in their entire life who think defending slop and supporting disney will somehow get them a crumble of pussy. When all it really does is announce how pathetic and feeble they really are. These are same fat fedora wearing homosexuals from years ago who used to say "why do girls go for all the jerks?" but now have been brow beaten so far down, they'd rather act like women themselves.

Its just proof that two worlds exist, the real world, and this gay worthless internet world.

No, the character's looks aren't a problem with the adaptation, as they, at least, are very faithful. If the plot gets changed and bent out of shape (outside of the steps that must be taken after accounting for the deviations the TV series already took in the past) to present a different or too contemporally handled message than the original did, then there's room for critique.

That's why we should counter every thread with evidence to the contrary. It doesn't matter if they care or not, it's about people coming into these threads uninformed and getting the wrong impression.
As I said, I wholly believe Disneymarvel will pick and choose storylines that adapt themes that suit their beliefs, but as long as they do it faithfully to the comics, the perceived problem lies with the comics of 40-50 years ago, not with a woke agenda, and people in the know should emphasise that.

Mohawk Storm was in one alternate timeline episode and it doesn't have anything to do with new series. The only reason for this, is that black gay director wanted it, that's all.

As I keep saying, they'll pick and choose arcs from the comics that suit them. Hopefully, they manage to integrate them into the running story in a way that feels natural. The important bit is that they remain as faithful as they can to the original stories, don't overblow any messages they're trying to send, and we're golden. They even have quite a bit of leeway with this series, because X-Men TAS could sometimes get very preachy and overt with their themes. After all, it was written for teens.

They're adapting Storm's 80s character arc where she got the mohawk, got wilder, lost her powers because of Forge's weapon, and had that tragic romance with him.

              >So why do people say she looks Asian? It just looks like cat-eyes to me.
Because the writers wrote her as having asian eyes.

The idea was suppose to be that Storm didn't look wholly African, but a mix of all races. She had almond shaped eyes like an Asian woman, but they were also blue. She had a European looking nose and long straight white hair, but and African body, skintone (but even then, a much lighter brown), and lips. It was suppose to add to the whole "goddess" thing.
Eventually artists got lazy and she was just drawn as an African American lady.

By virtue of there being precedent of it in the comics. Rogue and Gambit became estranged several times and Magneto and Rogue have fallen in love across multiple timelines, the main one included. Last time I remember was in the aftermath of AvX and PicRel is yet another instance.

I don't remember how they managed in AoA (probably something about the magnetic field or involving a power nullifier), but she got pregnant there and had Charles Jr. I guess the most basic form of artificial insemination would work - just scooping Mags' semen into her womb by herself.

Wouldn't Rogue's powers kill the baby though? Or would the umbilical cord make it so her power register the baby as being a part of her, so it would be safe?
It would make more sense if she put on a power nullifying collar for the sex and pregnancy.

It's canonical that latex works for Rogue and Gambit to bone, so I'd assume the same applies to Magneto. Also for a time I know Gambit was able to create a really light kinetic field around his skin so they could sort of touch, I'd assume Magneto could do the same with some hand waving

wouldn't be surprised if Rogue's costume is a futuristic latex condom, that is both sensual and durable.

And you've gotta read the origins.' So he was slipping me stuff, and we've stayed friends ever since."

        or

Jesus Christ, you're deranged. You honestly expected the black suit to make it into the movie? The moralgays would have torn the film apart, and that's assuming the Disney suits approved it in the first place. You're right that the MCU has had the sex drained out of it, but out of everyone you could scapegoat, you pick Feige? The guy who approved stripper-stewardesses on Tony's private jet in the first Iron Man?

They have shill; Cinemaphile isn't a hivemind. You just conveniently left that out to suit your narrative.

You brought up people not knowing X-Men first. Randomly trying to demoralize people comes off as shilling.
              But please, continue to deflect.

I'm sorry for lacking good faith after seeing so many posts of people pretending that The Draco was good both here and outside Cinemaphile just for culture war reasons

Nobody has defended Draco outside of just saying the newest retcon was stupid and that's completely unrelated to the cartoon.
For someone who supposedly hates culture wars, you're bringing up random bullshit pertaining to culture bullshit. Claremont's idea was shit, big deal.

I thought X-Men TAS fans didn't even bother with the comics.

      You're thinking of DCAU fans

No, X-Men TAS fans (at least the Gen Z ones) have admitted to not caring about the comics and can't name a single post 2000 storyline.
Which makes bringing up Draco a bigger nonsequitir; most fans only know the Baron Wagner story.

aren't most of the post 2000 storylines absolute shit on a stick?

like what did we get, dead future featuring beast, dead future featuring the chicken mutant, alternate cyclops from a dead future, dead future featuring Hulk, and Jean gets cucked.

I would think cuckqueaning finally getting rep would be notable.

I hate ideologized gay shit as much as anyone, and this isn't it. I was honestly expecting Disney to kill off every white guy on the show in the fiest episode and Bishop would start fricking jean, but I didn't notice any sort of forced messaging. I watched all the OG episodes when they aired and I think this is a great continuation.

I thought it was fine. Animation's kind of jank at times and the art style looks kind of...off as a whole, and yeah Disney's scared of the slightest hint of sex appeal so everyone's ass is comically flat but who cares, the comics still have plenty of butts. Otherwise it was fine.

Cable. They might even have this tie into MCU stuff (just like every other one of these little side-projects inevitably do).

Honestly, X-men as an idea is pretty boring. There are only so many ways you can portray "this poor mutant being abused"
