I prefer Sly's films now that I'm older and I'm less impressed by Arnold's steroid-pumped bulk. I give credit to Sly for having more variety in his long-running franchises than Arnold had in his Terminator sequels, which were just the same film rehashed four times with diminishing returns. (Yeah Salvation was different, but barring a CG cameo, it's not an Arnold film). But you couldn't say that Rocky 3 is the same film as Rocky 1, or that Rambo 2 repeats Rambo 1. Childhood is worshipping Arnold, Adulthood is realising that Sly was right.

End of Days is better, and they both are low tier. They dont suck, cuz he cant suck, but I would be hard pressed to choose them over another Arnie flick.
Early 2000s was not a good time for Arnold, movie-wise. People were oversaturated, coming off of Arnjold trying for more comedic roles and Batman and Robin and Jingle which werent appreciated in their time. And he was gearing up for his political career.
Then he did some low budget indie stuff so he could feel all manly again, and then some Terminator to grab a retirement paycheck.

That's the title in Finland. We also call Shawshank Redemption "Rita Hayworth - the key to the escape" instead. And Once Upon a Time in the West is called "The Harmonica Avenger" and Alien is called "The 8th Passenger". For some reason they used to put spoilers right in the title.

I like Predator but I think I'd pick anyone of those films over it if I'm being honest. Anytime I've rewatched it in recent years it's never as good as I remember while the others have honstly improved with age. Anyone else feel the same?
Weirdly I don't have an opinion, it's just one of those things that is too iconic, but if you listen to the commentary even John McTiernan sort of thought It was trash, even before he took the job.
That's not the vibe at all i got from his commentary at all.
It's main weakness is the predator itself. A fishnet vest, space dreadlocks, a toyetic mask, a crackprostitute face beneath the mask - it all just looks a bit tacky. It's no Giger creation.
