I can understand The Wire because America is a shithole. But the UK is a welfare-drenched surveillance state, why the fuck would you sling drugs for a living when you can live off taxes far more easily and also doing so sends you to jail immediately because of all the cameras?
It is, Black British culture is literally just Jamaican culture
More like >Oi senpai, i hear you wanna be the boss man, yeah? like big balls? that's a mad ting you know, end dat nonsense, bruv!
am I a newfag or is that filter actually new?

there was another part to it, I'm guessing it's ngl
Haven't watched the new season. Season 2 started too weird, so i actually stopped the show. This show was pushed a bit much, but it's not that well written.
Top Boy isn't any different position-wise from The Wire. It just tries to show that side of life, warts and all. That's not really an agenda. You could argue at any point that all the deportation in the deportation subplots were justified because of how much crime the associated people (Ats, Kieron) were involved in, a woke show wouldn't even allow that conclusion to be made >No I dropped The Wire in season 2 because the whole dock storyline was unbelievably boring.
Nevermind, I can see I'm trying to convince a tasteless brainlet.
I find it very unbelievable that there are british drug dealers. That country can't even have working knives and you are telling me there is a drug trade,? Bullshit.
Mate it’s cold and cloudy all day every day, how do you think people would survive without drugs?
It really isn't though, you're just easily triggered. The two main characters (black) are reprehensible and ultimately get their comeuppance. Kieran gets saved from deportation by his community and then immediately goes back to delaying drugs and other shady shit and is called out on it.
Think they might have meant the first season episode. But you are right, its not "anti white" just anon being an autistic pol cunt
All I saw in the first episode was some guy getting deported and every white British character being portrayed as evil. Sorry I couldn’t be fucked to continue watching that dirge.
>All I saw in the first episode was some guy getting deported and every white British character being portrayed as evil
Perhaps because it was about the common proletariat (mostly black in those parts of London) being downtrodden and mistreated by the bureaucracy (mostly white, who are slaves in their own right) of the establishment. It doesn't come across remotely jarring or racially provocative to someone who has actually lives in that class of society.
That's right, when i com' in da pub, i wanna smash dem plates full of fish and chips, like i'm becomin' mad, m8. I'm fucking starvin' justalkin' bout it, innit?

Its fake propaganda to make them out to be hardcore gangsters when uk morons are soft as fuck like the uk. You get benefits in the Uk, the slums in the uk arent bad at all. Its fake shit from fake uk rappers to realise their fantasy of being american gangsters .
I find it funny that the show features subplots about the government failing to deport someone, capitalists failing to uproot public housing, and the police failing to arrest more than one person after an entire undercover op
Meanwhile The Wire features human trafficking, homeless life, and the police absolutely crushing a gang as soon as they fuck up once
Being a poor black drug dealer in the UK is basically easy mode compared to the US
Uk blacks have no identity, they look to the americans and copy everything they do but then just put their own west indian twist to it. They havent even been here in the UK 100 years lmao. They are a bunch of losers who knife up kids over 20£ bag lmao thinking theyre mega gangsta. The level of crime in the UK is nothing like america. They wish it was. Theyre trying hard to make all the areas theyre in shitholes and ghettos because its cool being from and living in the gutter with shit people to blacks. They are given even more chances and freebies than american blacks yet still complain lifes ard doe senpai coz im black doe innit blud.
was Jaq, innit? who else it gon be otherwise? Sully told her she ain't getting a pass, and she were all like, the road ain't for me anymore after her sister died. no one else woulda laid out fuckin Sully, you know?
so she does Sully before Sully does her, and Dushane's already done in see, so there's no one left to come after her. it makes sense, bro.
That's the impression I got. He witnessed Sully bullying that light skin brother making him piss his pants. He wanted to do the same to Sully but it didn't work, he got a speech instead. So he backed off and did it later on cause he wasn't gonna let Sully die on his own terms.
Yea Ik but I like to think Stef did it cus he didn't get the reaction he wanted so he did it by surprise

Haven't watched the new season. Season 2 started too weird, so i actually stopped the show. This show was pushed a bit much, but it's not that well written.

Oi Mate, so i hear you wanna be the nu gang leada, yeah? like big balls man, yeah? Mad ting i hear, foo! You gotta stop dat nonsense!
More like
>Oi senpai, i hear you wanna be the boss man, yeah? like big balls? that's a mad ting you know, end dat nonsense, bruv!
senpai
yeah i thought about the bruv bit, but it's not really a thing that black say i think
Last season made me realise how shit everything was post-summerhouse
last scene was kino though
Watched like half of the first episode. This has to be the most “white people bad” show I’ve ever seen. It was mental.
>Man immigration got Kieran, they're gonna deport him to fuckin Rwanda or someting
>you're a fucking drug dealer, Fuck Kieran
Let me guess, you also dropped The Wire because it was "liberal propaganda"?
No I dropped The Wire in season 2 because the whole dock storyline was unbelievably boring. Can’t see anything particularly liberal about that show.

Nah it was shit but that’s ok.
Mate it’s cold and cloudy all day every day, how do you think people would survive without drugs?
Are you denying The Wire is liberal propaganda?
It really isn't though, you're just easily triggered. The two main characters (black) are reprehensible and ultimately get their comeuppance. Kieran gets saved from deportation by his community and then immediately goes back to delaying drugs and other shady shit and is called out on it.

Shit b8 m8. Black people aren’t downtrodden in England they’re fuckin worshipped.
Working class people are downtrodden in every wealthy society. That's how wealth is created.
>called out on it
Do you actually think that one throwaway line is going to be registering in the minds of joggers and soibois?
Last season ruined it, Was unrealistic as fuck (the last episode) on so many levels.
They should have not spent the budget on the Paddy actor
mans patterned they Ps, fäm
You need food to make p's bruv. Loads of food innit.
That's right, when i com' in da pub, i wanna smash dem plates full of fish and chips, like i'm becomin' mad, m8. I'm fucking starvin' justalkin' bout it, innit?

how the fuck did brian eno end up doing the soundtrack for this
It's surprising yeah...i like some of the tracks he did for it, but it's clearly an odd choice. Probably the producer or director being a fan.
Where da food at man *kisses teeth*. I got bare p's blud.
I find it very unbelievable that there are british drug dealers. That country can't even have working knives and you are telling me there is a drug trade,? Bullshit.
Most of it is run by the Albanians. But theres still some British gangs in Manchest,Liverpool and Birmingham running drugs.
>working knives
Ironically the very people this show is about are grossly over represented in knife crime in the UK
Sorry, I don’t watch media with all-black casts. Nobody with whom I can identify, you see.
Sounds like we need some representation.
Its fake propaganda to make them out to be hardcore gangsters when uk morons are soft as fuck like the uk. You get benefits in the Uk, the slums in the uk arent bad at all. Its fake shit from fake uk rappers to realise their fantasy of being american gangsters .
yep, we are a criminal worshiping country now and our youths need to make up reasons to be oppressed and commit crime
Reminder that the Premier League STILL has every player kneel before every game for BLM.
I didn't need reminding of that but thanks
Welcome

The levels of violence on the show is absolutely ludicrous, at least past the first two seasons.
Last season felt rushed af and Stef did it
Naomi did it.
