>every year young people disappear
they're hunted and somehow turned into living puppets by chuck conners? how did he acquire this power? the film does not explain
I like it. It's both odd and creepy. I believe the director was disappointed with the 'PG' rating from the MPAA. He also stated the film's score (by Pino Donaggio) was unsatisfactory, as he wanted a score in the style of Halloween (1978).
Probably one of my favorite oldies along with this gem
For some reason these two are NEVER talked about by so called 'horror buffs' so you know you're in good company when you find someone whose seen them both
It’s definitely a different horror or thriller film than most. The protagonist literally freaks out for most of it and his mannerisms almost makes you think he’s full of Blue Sunshine himself. I think the paranoia of it is what makes it what it is.
I really like the main character in this. Kind of a paranoid misanthrope. He has a great reaction when he comes back into the house at the beginning and sees a bunch of bodies burning, if I remember right, and he just sort of stands there blank faced not knowing what to do.
It's fun. It's funny how the House of Wax remake with Paris Hilton (who's surprisingly not acting like a piece of wood) has more in common with Tourist Trap than the original House of Wax
It's great for the 70s feel and the 70s babes, but the opening sequence makes me want paranormal kino and that's not how it ends up. Really kind of a gross vibe but it works. Solid October flick.
Cool poster. i havent seen the movie yet, but im sure its fine. but compared to today, its probably a classic. also, a lot of older films, i assume when released at the time, it was also "forgettable" or just "okay" or something like that. This is why a lot of modern films from James Wan, while some view as slop, will be considered classics. Dont Look Now makes me think of james wan films.
I was always a big fan of The Rifleman, so I got extra joy watching Chuck Connors in this.
It's decent, but pretty unique and I'm surprised I haven't seen a movie that tries to emulate it (not counting Shaye Saint John).
You're a homosexual. The film was okay.
it's okay, nothing mind blowing
forgettable

I like it. It's weird, creepy and silly all at once.
Good concept, decently creepy at times, good ending. Not amazing but effective enough horror. It's a bit boring in places.

blatantly wants to be the next texas chainsaw massacre and it fails at that but not completely because the setting still is unique in its own right.
what a dumbass, donaggio's score is what makes the movie stand out
One of the best slashers.
Kino
what
EXACTLY!
It was probably Eric Fournier's favourite movie.
very underrated
a great film
Slasher kino
Probably one of my favorite oldies along with this gem

I've seen them both. Liked Blue Sunshine a lot too, very strange movie.

saw this at the gayplex the one that shills their discord. movie SUCKS
the one track they use for the killer or disoriented person got old quick

cute girls too
very easy on the eyes. but im sure at the time, that look was considered "sexy" or "racy" too. the modern female look is pretty repulsive.
look at their skin too. people back than were much more better hormonally too.
Probably the best Full Moon movie, which isn't saying a lot. I liked it though.
Charles Band produced it but I don't think it's technically a Full Moon film. The guy changed production companies like other people change pants
ackchyually, im gonna punch u.
i was only trying to help
Compass, same production company as Halloween
Underwhelming
Here's a good obscure 80s horror film for you. Just saw it the other day.
Was based when the girls immediately started skinny dipping. Kind of boring overall tho

I enjoy it. its has a dreamlike feel to it.
I loved the special effects but everything else was a bit basic.
