What the frick is up with recent series and no Decepticons?
Did they somehow decide they were too problematic so now they just they erase the whole Con and war stuff altogether?
Granted, Megatron appears in this series which is already more than I thought, but I bet he will only work as intro villain to explain the background for the mcguffin and the species as a whole. I wouldn't wonder at all if the Cons played no larger role.

The only recent series that haven't had Decepticons are:

Anon, you probably aren't old enough to remember, but when animated was announced they said human villains would take up the antagonist roles? And it was only part of season 1 and then like 2 or 3 episodes in season 2 and 3.
Having watched the 5 minute preview clip, I fricking hate the b***h sister with her creepy eyes. The brother is more tolerable, but like middle of the pack like the Armada/Cybertron kids. They both seem to lack proper caution, even the kind children have. They’re not even compelled by some mystical Cybertronian whispers to do something potentially hazardous: they’ve just read the script and need to do the next thing to move the story along.
Animation is really shit though. A lot of the cg models don’t seem to have the proper weight they should have, making them very floaty. Backgrounds and textures are sparse, but I’ll excuse that since that’s the priciest part of animation with the least return.
Plot is pretty nonsensical, even taking into account what is missing/will be explained in full. Rolling down an incline that steep and far would have injured them, even if they were wearing more bike gear than just helmets. Do they not care about the humans in the cars and truck that presumably died in the explosion? I’d question the whole purpose and function of that fancy cave, but hopefully it’ll be explained so I’ll hold off on guessing about that.
In this show, boy sees a relic on a pedestal on a little island with some steps. He IMMEDIATELY runs up to it to try and touch it, despite not even looking at the little steps AND knowing about the Indiana Jones relic trope. THEN after knocking it off and nothing happening, they decide to put it back on and only then something happens, with no visual cue that something had changed like it slotting into a recess?
Conversely, Ben 10 with the Omnitrix. He only approaches the edge of the impact crater, and the cracking earth sends him tumbling further down than he intended. He looks closer, but stays back when the thing opens. In fact, the Omnitrix only gets on his wrist when it physically jumps out and attaches to him.
See the difference here? The latter makes the character realistic, while putting the dangerous actions into accidents/processes outside of their control, ie acts of god. Even Animated managed to make it work by having the Allspark ‘talk’ to Sari in her head, convincing her to do something she normally wouldn’t.
By putting these dangerous and thoughtless actions as the responsibility of the kids (for seemingly no gain for themselves) you drastically reduce their implied intelligence and turn them into suicidal lemmings.
Calling the Season 1 plot now >Mandroid turns out to be working for the Decepticons >The Decepticons are looking for the cave to make a new Decepticon army, Megatron shows up >The Decepticons betray Mandroid once they get what they want, and leave him for dead >Mandroid have a redemption arc and agrees to help the Autobots >The Autobots try to hold off the Decepticons and keep them from getting in the cave >Megatron gets his ass kicked by the human characters >The Decepticons retreat and something is set up for Season 2
Anyway, whoever scored this bootleg giving Stranger Things need to be taken out back and curbed.
This has to be the what, third... forth attempt to reboot Animated without Animated? Human-bonded Earthborn of Cybertronian descent type shit. More human super villains. More recycled Jetfire/Jetstorm Lug/Anode hybrid design type shit, "MALTO" lmao. Corporate really can't tell black from tan, huh? Rio Morales lookin' ass...
Hasbro really said >We want to go in a bold new direction but also make it look exactly like every Transformers everything from the last 15 years...but, y'kno... more modern!
btw, Dreamworks called, Home remake lookin kinda mid.
>humans outlaw Transformers >human made Transformers >Galvatron >evil Transformers are evil because they're connected to Galvatron >human death >human falls in love with Optimus
The only way I can think of RID15 being like Animated (and Cyberverse and probably Earthspark actually…) is being entirely or at least mostly post-great war.
Although that brings up the question- what exactly qualifies as the Great War? It’s having Cybertron be unlivable/abandoned, right?

Brand new universe/continuity, it's just that the classic "cybertronian war on earth" that various shows and the movies depicted in the past already happened by the time the show starts.
Ffs America, start representing blacks by the percentage of population they make up, not percentage of crime they're responsible for. You're literally rewarding criminal behaviour.
You know, that’s completely nonsensical, but if they had the balls to say that this universe’s humans are descended from ancient Headmasters, and her big head is a sign of natural talent towards her race’s ancient purpose, then I’d be 110% on board.
Cyberverse lasted 3 years dude. 3 years is the usual lifespan of a boys toyline before they reboot again to keep interest from retailers and from a new generation of kids. And yeah, Cyberverse didn't do super well, we saw Hasbro always ignoring it while talking about well selling lines in their financial reports.
They were, but Hasbro often brought up RID15 when talking about good news and RID15's toyline was shit too. Kids don't seem to actualy care if the toys are shit or not as long as they like the show they're buying toys of I think.
That's unlikely. Prime lowkey bombed and bled money, so it is very unlikely that it was the reason the RID toys sold well. Specially since Hasbro was talking about this deep into Season 4 during the combiner force line, which would be more than enough time for Primegays to have realize the show was for normal kids and not them.
Yeah but RID15 had toys of better quality. Cyberverse toys could even break. It’s unreal how Hasbro let the Cyberverse like be that crappy.
[...]
Cyberverse did so well that they made MORE of it after it first finished. We got two TV movies.
The actual show was surprisingly decent, even great at times.

RID15 could have in fact gone for a fifth season but the showrunners felt they ended the show on a high enough note. Funny that fifth season would have been more based on elements of Prime like MECH and the human companions to the frustration of Prime gays.
To this day you have them saying RID15 only had 3 seasons as their way to cope, even though sales were better and it had more episodes.

Yeah but the thing is that Prime aired *internationally* on said Cartoon Network for most territories, plus that run Prime had on free-to-air television. Hasbro did its best to make Prime visible (Hub first run aside) but it didn’t pan out.
As a longtime Transfan, while Prime had a better line than RiD, RiD's designs felt really fresh and exciting, especially the beast Decepticons. the main Prime line suffered from trying to copy the Bay movie standards of all the Autobots being cars. One think woefully missing from the modern toylines is the variety of the UT toylines. There's no autobot space shuttles or decepticon battleships anymore in the new lines.

Agree on all counts, Prime rehashing Bay designs was boring and I also miss UTs variety. They made toys of all kinds of vehicles.

It can though; Generations line for homages, cartoon line for fresh new ideas. I mean look at Bumblebee and Optimus, they don't look that different than Cyberverse besides the style, and Optimus looks similar to his Generations toy. We used to get a whole new Optimus design every year, now we get the same basic one in different styles.

You didn't say brand new ideas, you said variety. A shuttle that turns into a dragon, or a bird and a cat, or a launch base, IS variety.

WHO THE FRICK WROTE THAT SCRIPT? It offends me more than any bad character design.
Megatron better be really dramatic if they want him to be a depressed old man whose faction has been renounced and Decepticon remnants want to revive but he goes "no".
>Wash as Optimus
Never would've thought. Then again, he was also Superman.
Aside from Pudi, Tudyk, and Bader I have no idea who the rest of the cast is but those three are genuinely great VA’s so they might carry the show
this is Megatron
I buy it. And this is Optimus!

>how are you different from a sjw
Is that a bad thing? Are you not an sjw?

I don't know, he looks more zombie gray than white

Alan Tudky is a coterie of intelligent birds formed together into the shape of a man that just happens to look caucasian
If you care about the humans in Transformers, you need to be shot into the sun.
Why does the little girls head look wonky proportion wise
JUST GIVE ME A NEW TRANSFORMERS CAST ALREADY
>JUST GIVE ME A NEW TRANSFORMERS CAST ALREADY
RID2015 gave you that, you didn't like it
Pretty much. People can scream "we want new MCs" and when they do get them they suddenly don't want them anymore.
Are they really that when you have Optimus Prime and company babysitting them instead of letting them develop in their own world?
Baby steps but we literally have guys going “no Ironhide aaaaa I’m going insane” with cartoons like Cybertron or Beast Wars.
Energon had Ironhide and everyone hated him.
But he was “Ironhide” and if you go by Japanese names Demolishor was Ironhide. Which is a bit funny since Thunderblast was Chromia.
And Mudflap's Japanese name was Demolishor. Names are funny.

mouth Wheeljack has been a thing the cartoons have been trying to do for a long while now for some reason
And I hate it every single time they stripe that uniqueness away from him.
here's your reply, moron

Yea who's the character designer for this. That's really messed up.
they really need to be 20% smaller

Or just look good.

And theres literally nothing else on the shelf.
And its on sale.
>Never get mass retail Sari
>or Miko
>get el goblin
They aren't GI Joe sized so difficult to do Human Alliance kind of things.
Miko got a toy of similar build, what are you on about.
And the Rescue Bots line eventually got their own humans from the cartoon as toys. It's a nice the new line's embracing the humans from the start.
Hope we get some legacy human characters in toy form.
No idea, right now the only legacy human available is Spike in a suit.
we were robbed.
and it isn't even posable, we won Masterforcebros

Also, Alan as Prime is a weird casting choice but that's because I'm used to his super comedy-heavy roles. I would have had him as Megatron instead but that's me.
Let me guess, mandroid is the villain?
Probably gets his shit kicked in by Megatron and forced to kneel by the end of the first season.
NIGGETS
If this guy's supposed to be Swindle then I'm not really feeling this design to be honest. Maybe it's the head?
Seeing he has the same colors, and purple eyes, it would be weird if he wasn't Swindle. Maybe Alternators Swindle's influence is rearing its ugly head again.
Nick Roche confirmed on his Twitter that it's Swindle. He didn't design him, but he said "Swindle's not mine" so it confirms it.
Oh.
Well again, I'm not really feeling the head. It's too un-Swindle.
It's literally a standard Swindle head except it's missing the little side bars though. It is more Swindle-ish than TFA Prowl was Prowl-ish.
I think it looks fine. Glad to see a new show that isn't ignoring the importance of the Robot-Human link.
I would literally kill everyone on Cinemaphile to have Transformers without humans in it.
Has happened multiple times. It was bad every single time.
I can only think of Beast Wars and Beast Machines and only the latter sucked.
Machinima series.
Cyberverse, Netflix and Machinima all had no humans and all of them were shit. Ironically Cyberverse was the less shit despite being the one aimed at kids.
Cyberverse was uneven but when you consider it was written by rookies and had a ridiculously low budget, it’s quite impressive.

He had his funny moments
>Full grown woman trying to sound like a young boy
I hate this shit enough in anime. I imagine it's only going to sound worse in my own language.
Is this meant to be for the same age demographic as Beast Wars and Prime were when they first came out?
If so, are children being dumbed down?
It is not for autistic adult nerds like Prime, no. Staff at the event said "it's for kids but hopefully it is intelligent enough adults can have fun too".
Oh god fricking damnit, not more human-transformer hybrid bullshit.
Is it just me, or does mandroids robot arm look like megatron's arm?
I'm wondering if we're going to get some sort of plot where a human finds megatron's body to reverse engineer again.
This has paper thin "It's about family" platitudes written all over it.
Even ones that try to reject it will end up hanging out together and bonding.
I dig the design for the robots, but I'm sure their toys will be mediocre at best like usual. Sad.
No starscream, no bueno.
Starscream has even better track record than Bumblebee. 100% going to happen at some point.
Eh, bumblebee has more or less been in every one, just with a different name.
Hot shot was pretty much Bumblebee, and cheetor was essentially animal bumblebee.
They always have a spunky yellow secondary "kid/youngster" robot.
Cheetor is more like Hot Rod.
Alright, here's my expectation.

hate to break it to you, but all current toylines are this way, and even then the gimmick garbage looks better than it did with Cyberverse.

GT was already cancelled by the time it got put on Netflix. Nickolodeon didn't care about it one way or another by then. Where as an original, new program is going to get a better push.
is replaced by some Incredibles reject as the main villain
Megatron is right on the casting sheet.
>Megatron is right on the casting sheet.
Still not the main villain unless Mandroid turns out to be his puppet.

Glitch Techs and Pinky Malinky were a whole different thing. Those shows had seasons completed, shelved and then sold to Netflix to recoup costs. There never was any intent to revive them once released.

Anon, you probably aren't old enough to remember, but when animated was announced they said human villains would take up the antagonist roles? And it was only part of season 1 and then like 2 or 3 episodes in season 2 and 3.
Im just glad bombshell is back, I always loved that crazy bug.
Looks like shit.
I mean, let’s make a comparison:
I'm going to say the n-word, yes.
Are the black kids going to get Escalade and "urban dirtbike" transformers?
one day I will get my Powerless bingo but today is not the day
That show deserved better.
Ron Funches needs to be in Earthspark next.
The artstyle looks so bad the transformers look unappealing and the humans look even worse
That's my problem with almost all TF cartoons, they just cannot make them look good to save their lives.
Calling the Season 1 plot now
>Mandroid turns out to be working for the Decepticons
>The Decepticons are looking for the cave to make a new Decepticon army, Megatron shows up
>The Decepticons betray Mandroid once they get what they want, and leave him for dead
>Mandroid have a redemption arc and agrees to help the Autobots
>The Autobots try to hold off the Decepticons and keep them from getting in the cave
>Megatron gets his ass kicked by the human characters
>The Decepticons retreat and something is set up for Season 2
OH NO, homieS...
Hasbro really said
>We want to go in a bold new direction but also make it look exactly like every Transformers everything from the last 15 years...but, y'kno... more modern!
btw, Dreamworks called, Home remake lookin kinda mid.
This is obvious bait but I'm curious what you think, or pretend to think, what the three other "Animated attempts" are.
>Animated attempts
Transformers Prime.
Robots In Disguise.
Transformers: Age of Extinction.
Transformers: Cyberverse.
Jackie Chan Adventures.
Age of Extinction is a Kiss Players attempt you Animatedgay
Because it has humans going "frick them TFs" and an underaged girl?
>humans outlaw Transformers
>human made Transformers
>Galvatron
>evil Transformers are evil because they're connected to Galvatron
>human death
>human falls in love with Optimus
falls in love with Optimus
How is RID15 like Animated?
The only way I can think of RID15 being like Animated (and Cyberverse and probably Earthspark actually…) is being entirely or at least mostly post-great war.
Although that brings up the question- what exactly qualifies as the Great War? It’s having Cybertron be unlivable/abandoned, right?
Grimlock is green.
Grimlock wasn’t green in Animated! Only in RID01 and he was a crane and not really Grimlock at all tbh.
I think he is talking about the whole
>Group of misfit heroes with lots of comedy who need to learn how to be a team.
They have nearly the same set-up, though honestly that is the set up of most action cartoons for kids ever and that anon is just a dumb Black person.
>honestly that is the set up of most action cartoons for kids ever
and here your grown ass is lapping that shit up calling other another anon a dumb Black person, clown.
>anon resembles tha remark
Many such cases.
And here we have you, a dumber Black person than the other Black person. He is being called a dumb Black person because he think's that an american action cartoon having the set up as every other american action cartoon is a TFA thing, not because I like one of those shows.
>because I like one of those shows.
and now that you are old enough to not be underage b&, you should watch your american action cartoons for children and morons more critically.
I see your reading comprehension is in the negatives. Befitting a stupid Black person.
some with as poor a grasp on subject verb agreement as this should not be calling anyone a stupid Black person.
You keep acting like a stupid Black person so you'll just have to take being a stupid Black person!
>Age of Extinction is a Kiss Players attempt
Don't drag Bumblebee into this,
>Bumblebee
Either way what Charlie and Bee had was pure.
hello oldgay
Their name is Malto because the dad is from the Philipines. Are you moronic?
At least their family name isn't Dery
Damn we missed a perfectly good opportunity for David Willis to off himself.
Make no mistake, Floro would shit himself harder about this than anyone and pretend to claim that he invented the name Dery.
>Their name is Malto because the dad is from the Philipines.
And this upsets you why, Nutshack?
Yeah, Philipino people absolutely love blacks. lol
>OP says earthrise
>It's written Earthspark in the picture
>what did he mean by this
Earthrise was a recent name used for Transformers as well.
That definitely is not gonna cause any problems later on.
Earth natives having counterparts in this show would be cool. Question is if all have to form from bonding to another living thing.
is this suppose to take place in any particular time line or is a original universe thing?
Brand new universe/continuity, it's just that the classic "cybertronian war on earth" that various shows and the movies depicted in the past already happened by the time the show starts.
Ffs America, start representing blacks by the percentage of population they make up, not percentage of crime they're responsible for. You're literally rewarding criminal behaviour.
>You're literally rewarding criminal behaviour.
Hey, don't say that about America's electoral process!
The humans come from Philadelphia. Being Black folk makes sense.
so the little girl just has a huge head for no reason?
There is a reason. It's called bad character design.
She’s a headmaster.
AYO???
That gets the "Ancient Aliens" aspects for the series in. Good plan.
You know, that’s completely nonsensical, but if they had the balls to say that this universe’s humans are descended from ancient Headmasters, and her big head is a sign of natural talent towards her race’s ancient purpose, then I’d be 110% on board.
That would be unironically cool.
Why the hell didn't they just stick with Cyberverse? Did it not sell? Do they think this will sell more?
Cyberverse was many years old. This refreshes intrest in the brand.
Tbf the toys were ass for the most part.
They were, but Hasbro often brought up RID15 when talking about good news and RID15's toyline was shit too. Kids don't seem to actualy care if the toys are shit or not as long as they like the show they're buying toys of I think.
RID got by piggybacking of prime for alot of its initial viewership.
The actual show was surprisingly decent, even great at times.
RID15 could have in fact gone for a fifth season but the showrunners felt they ended the show on a high enough note. Funny that fifth season would have been more based on elements of Prime like MECH and the human companions to the frustration of Prime gays.
To this day you have them saying RID15 only had 3 seasons as their way to cope, even though sales were better and it had more episodes.
>cope
>Convitenly ignoring RID'15 being on Cartoon Network and Prime being on The Hub.
I don’t get your post, RID15 got 4 seasons, more episodes, was a sales success and even survived Cartoon Network.
Cartoon Network has many more subscribers. Even 6:00AM slot has bigger exposure.
>There's no autobot space shuttles or decepticon battleships anymore in the new lines.
We got TWO Autobot space shuttles in 2020, so much so that they were officially licensed from NASA. Three if you count redecos.
NASA licensed?
Yeah.
Sky Lynx comes with 1980's NASA logs decked on it, looks really good tbh
Nice
One's a micromaster and the other has no bipedal robot mode. They're mandated to be so because G1 says so.You don't get it, there's fewer brand new ideas being made like there was in the UT days.
It can't be helped. Also it kind of sucks they ignored a lot of the interesting altmode micromasters when they remade them.
>It can't be helped.
Yeah Optimus Prime became boring.
You didn't say brand new ideas, you said variety. A shuttle that turns into a dragon, or a bird and a cat, or a launch base, IS variety.
Cyberverse did so well that they made MORE of it after it first finished. We got two TV movies.
>kids witness robots shooting rockets at armored vehicles on a bridge
>they barelly escape alive from an exploding, flipping truck
>but they don't discuss or even mention it when they reach safety
>seriously, they just proceed to have a typical sibling quarrel like nothing scary or uncommon has ever happened
WHO THE FRICK WROTE THAT SCRIPT? It offends me more than any bad character design.
So how's optimus going to die this time?
This Optimus already died and came back to life before the show started.
Barricade breaks his neck by kneeling on him.
chokes on a muffin
that's muffin hunter. He's different.
Optimus receives a scathing review of his truck stop from Megatron and dies from a broken spark
Ratatouille but it’s minicons?
When is Skybound announcing they acquired the license?
You are right, SDCC came and they didn't say anything.
Is it still happening?
oh god i can't wait for tudyk edits of optimus saying n*.
Who could we expect as guest stars?
Hmm, could be Alpha Trion…Nemesis Prime maybe? Someone important.
The OP of another universe warning of an incoming threat from not!Unicron that destroyed his world
Megatron better be really dramatic if they want him to be a depressed old man whose faction has been renounced and Decepticon remnants want to revive but he goes "no".
Woke Nogged
ya not gonna be appealing
