nah is very clearly not a beast wars movie, but instead just a movie with beastformers on it.
Not interested, couldn't even be bothered to use the Golden Disk, being a franchise obsessed with MacGuffins and all
I am just not into the movies and the characters they always star and I don't like cgi so I ignore them. Looking forward to the comics. Hope the movie is doing well though since it brings in new fans and keeps the franchise alive.
I'm trying to watch it but I have to admit the fact that it opens on yet another goddamn secret artifact macguffin that can change everything - again - made me pause the cam recording in disgust. Haven't started it back yet.
And yeah go cam recording. Not giving them my goddamn money.
No barricade no buy ticket. I dropped after TLK.had my fun tradition that spand from 2007 to whenever the 5th came out. I wish they'd put the movie budget into a worthwhile show instead
I am disappointed that it seems Arcee was a background character despite the fact she can fit in a van. Possibly the smallest transformer that isn't some kind of mincon
They were trying to give him a character arc. Both he and the main human character start out mainly only concerned for their own species (Prime is trying to save the universe but doesn't trust or want to involve humans at first).
They acquainted being violent with being badass.
He does want to kill the bad guys but at least he's not shooting surrendered captives in cold blood like Bay's Optimus.
I was referring more to him being so violent and vengeful. He spends half the movie talking about how much he wants to kill Scourge, and finally ends him with some MK shit.
Haven't seen any of the Bayformers after the first, he's...actually like that in all of them?
I don't think the Bayverse is canon to these movies any more, though. If it was there'd be a lot of contradictions. Although the events in the new movie mostly happen away from populated areas and the general public still has no idea Transformers exist by the end of it (which I like - the whole 'robots in disguise' thing is underused).
>he's not shooting surrendered captives in cold blood like Bay's Optimus.
Instead he slices off a dude's arms and legs and gets annoyed that his kill gets stolen
Hey Anons, I'd like to start watching one of the Transformers TV shows, I see that a lot of people online usually say that Prime is one of the best but I would like to know your opinion on your favorite Transformers series
I'm not really into gay shipping but that sus line I mentioned in the OP was in the movie, and they were definitely trying to push Mirage/Noah as a strong friendship at least.
My review: It was good. The main issue is the usual; there was way too much human stuff. The Maximals are well, minimal. There's no Rattrap. Optimus Primal and Airazor are the main ones with lines. I missed the first 10 minutes which I have a sinking feeling was the best part. There are no Predacons to speak of (there are a bunch of Scorponok clones).
I didn't pick up on that, but I will say the movie was pretty woke. I thought at first people were just saying that because the characters weren't white, which doesn't bother me. But no, there's more to it than that. The hispanic male lead has his job interview canceled with racial undertones. His little brother has sickle cell anemia and he can't afford healthcare. He ends up trying to be a thief which is presented as no fault of his own. The black female lead is an overqualified assistant to a white lady who seems inept and takes credit for her work. It's not enough to make me hate the movie but enough that it's a little annoying.
IMHO a Transformers movie is too political if you can tell from watching it who the writers voted for.
Bumblebee had great designs for the Transformers on Cybertron. This one kind of fucked them up. Arcee and Mirage looked great but otherwise.. First Bay had Wheeljack as Albert Einstein and now this one has him as Carlos Maza. His classic design looks so cool with the things coming out of the sides of his head, I don't get it. I also don't get why they threw in that Stratosphere guy who I never heard of (is he new?) when they weren't able to get even all of the Maximals. I also find it sort of cheesy when Transformers have features like glasses or facial hair that seems purely like a cosmetic attempt to make them look like a certain kind of human (Kup's cigar can stay cause it just looks too badass).
I've seen it asked in every thread about this movie, but never answered. Does Wheeljack have the little things on the sides of his head at any point? The early trailers had them shown when they're fighting the Scorponok fodder, but it seems like they edited them out in later trailers. One kinda made it look like they folded out of his head when fighting, like Bumblebee and Prime with their faceplates.
I call bullshit on DotM's Que being Wheeljack. They call him Que (as a Bond reference, since he makes gadgets) and the red Ferrari with the Italian accent Dino throughout the movie, but the end credits list both as Que/Wheeljack and Dino/Mirage respectively.
I know anons don't like this series but does everybody know when the new episodes of Earthspark will air?
Do they always do it like that? Air a part of a series and expect you to google it once every month if you want to know when the rest airs? Why can't things just air normally aka weekly?
I thought the movie was fine, I only think the CG got weird when they Noah got that suit, but otherwise it seemed aight.
it’s neat too that they tried to push someone other than bumblebee as a main transformer, one that actually had a different personality.
And I think it’s funny that stratosphere got such an introduction, but he didn’t get a fucking toy. Similar with Scourge and Battletrap, who got very little toys at all.
I guess it's simply that they just had less toys due to both being a smaller team than the maximals and autobots, and how bad guys don't usually get as much toys as the protagonists do to begin with.
still wish we could've gotten a mainline voyager battletrap or scourge. It stings how battletrap's only other toy is a repaint of ironhide, nevermind the leader class scourge being pretty flawed
???
Anon, Battletrap's main toy IS a Voyager. Also, I don't know what you're so obsessed with how many toys a character gets. It's not the norm that a character gets multiple mainline toys.
They did beat the MCU to Galactus and his Heralds, so there's that. Which is fine because they'd probably make Galactus a rogue Celestial anyway, not that that's the worst way to simplify the story. Maybe a bit redundant since they've shown Celestials devouring planets to give birth to new Celestials.
But back to Rise of the Beasts, goddamn did Ape Lincoln go down like a punk bitch. To the surprise, I'm sure, of no one.
As for Cobra Commander, I recall people wondering if the Bayverse would do a version of MECH. Closest we got was Frasier and his elite team of dumbies with some other idiot to harvest and utilize their technology. MECHish but not as fun as faceless scientists harvesting bodies in secret bases.
Is that male or female?
No one watched this movie?
nope i stopped caring bout transformers after the third movie

fym?
Fuck you mean
Fuck your moma?
Why did they make Optimus the way he was? I always associated his voice with being reasonable and level-headed

No, he snapped at some point.

It still hurts, you guys . . . T_T
She could come back
as a G.I. Joe.
Oops lol.
Not really a spoiler anyway as I'm sure you've all heard the ending teases a crossover.
Judging by this movie they're gonna give the Joes Cybertronian Iron Man armor.
You mean like they did their first go around?
Hey Anons, I'd like to start watching one of the Transformers TV shows, I see that a lot of people online usually say that Prime is one of the best but I would like to know your opinion on your favorite Transformers series
It's called Rise of the Beasts but your gay ship isn't robotic beastiality?

>one of the Terrorcons starts speaking
>find her voice a little sus
>pause the movie and look up the VA
>turns out it's a tranny
Damn

Honest answer is I never noticed them. I can't say for sure whether they popped up in the hectic action sequences.
I call bullshit on DotM's Que being Wheeljack. They call him Que (as a Bond reference, since he makes gadgets) and the red Ferrari with the Italian accent Dino throughout the movie, but the end credits list both as Que/Wheeljack and Dino/Mirage respectively.
At least Scourge is relentless to justify Murder Prime's fury..
Did anybody read Void Rivals already or is it still night in america? Doesn't the UK get it too?
Mandatory diversity casting aside, it was a pretty good movie. Air Razor got a raw deal
I know anons don't like this series but does everybody know when the new episodes of Earthspark will air?

Stratosphere is a combination of ROTF Stratosphere and HFTD Highbrow.
Scourge has five toys and Battletrap and Nightbird both have two.
That Stratosphere also came with a tiny transforming Prime that could be carried in his cargo bay.
I guess it's simply that they just had less toys due to both being a smaller team than the maximals and autobots, and how bad guys don't usually get as much toys as the protagonists do to begin with.

Damn I wanted that Highbrow. Could never find one
I had one for sale years ago
Prime of Murder is the best thing about the Bay movies and I'm glad it was retained.
lmao yeah that actually surprised me. man ROTB Prime was such an asshole for most of it, its kinda amazing.
Love that thanks to this it makes Charbee impossible to deny.
I still think it's pretty hilarious that Optimus is probably going to have to deal with Cobra Commander antics before Megatron

>no dinobot or rattrap
????
