I only ever saw the first episode and have been meaning to get back to it. I am enthusiastic about WE'RE UNDERGROUND IN THE FUTURE DUE TO BUDGET CONSTRAINTS
It's also the superior Gina Torres scifi role

You should finish it, it's a blast from beginning to end. I especially love the Blade Runner inspired episode

Jennifer Sky had such a bonkers life and no one ever covers it because she was not super famous. Much more interesting than modern starlets like Zendaya and Sweeney.

She started as a teen model in Japan where she was molested on trains and probably worked as an escort. Married a wannabe rock star, B-Movie studio heir, who abandoned her when she became sick. Had a strange liver illness that caused her to retire early and almost killed her. Develops depression and complex PTSD. Recovers enough to go to college and becomes an advocate against modeling agencies using underage girls. Everybody should read her essays if they want a real honest look at fame, acting and modeling.

          >Recovers enough to go to college and becomes an advocate against modeling agencies using underage girls
This is mostly why no one ever covers her story. Its bad for the business.

Syndication blocks happened whenever the local affiliates that bought them decided or were contracted to. For me, it was giant 6-7 hour sections on Saturday immediately following cartoons

I remember a bunch of low budgets shows like this, Andromeda, and Mutant X all being shown at like 4pm on saturdays or late at night. Were they ever aired in Prime time slots or were they like filler shows that took up space before the internet? How did the economics work?

Even Xena and Herc never got prime time slots. I don’t remember the sort of commercials they aired but presumably they were somewhat targeted to their audience, at least as well as they could be before everyone was profiled electronically
