Do you intentionally buy the worst movies you can find?
yes and no
>yes and no
what does that even mean? out of those 50+ movies, you have maybe 6 that are actually worth watching. why are you spending money on all these shitty movies?
yes i intentionally buy movies i have found to be shitty but still want in my collection
no meaning some of these movies are ones that may be considered bad but i like anyway
But almost none of those are worth buying even in an ironic way. The majority of those films are just boring pieces of shit, not even bad in a funny way. I understand wanting to own some bad movies if they are fun to watch or have some cult status, but these are just terrible picks. It looks like you went to the Walmart $5 bin and just grabbed every movie there
>It looks like you went to the Walmart $5 bin and just grabbed every movie there
essentially what i did
But why? You don't need to own every movie ever made. Just look for movies that are actually worth watching, even if they are a little more expensive
There is no need to be this concerned anon
There is. You're wasting your money are garbage movies when there are hundreds of great movies you probably don't own
I own over 2100, sure there are a few great ones among them
>nooo a movie can't be so bad it's good until it has cult status how else am i and my reddit friends gonna know when to laugh!!!
have a nice day
>I understand wanting to own some bad movies if they are fun to watch OR have some cult status
I'm not saying they have to have a cult status, but none of OP's picks even look fun to watch. Most of them just look like boring horror or action movies
> muh taste isn't op's taste
Cry about it
how about you form your own opinions and watch them yourself you fricking sheep
Believe it or not, there are collectors who unironically buy Shit movies. Its a strange world
Are you literally autistic? Why are you buying DVDs? Why are you buying DVDs of shitty movies? Why do you think being a consoomer like this is excusable because they were cheap?
not formally diagnosed and an autist, just someone who has been collecting dvd since childhood and wants to grow their collection cause if feels good, sorry you have a problem with things that make other people happy anon
>I MUST CONSOOOOOOOM!
you're pathetic OP
what else is money for?
experiences. not buying mindless plastic
experiences are forgettable and overhyped, plastic is forever
Hookers. It's legal where you are isn't it? If you don't like hookers then I really think you should learn to. My very personal opinion though of course but I would fricking kill for legal prostitution.
Good job op.
Now make sure to archivise them onto a resistant format so they wont be lost
Did Tubi have a clearance sale going on?
thursday's kino haul
Sorry OP but that is as absolute pile of shit right there. I was going to say The Omen is good but that is some shitty remake. If you get the chance you should throw all those movies out.
they were cheap
my taste is mixed
this
Sweet it's the op with shit taste again
I don't feel like watching any of those movies.
>kino haul
>no kinos
What did op mean by this
Yesterday's haul. Even worse than I remembered which was not good. I paid a whopping $18. $16.50 with free shipping then with tax grand total was $17.85 for used and the disc is fricking filthy but plays fine. The bonus features sucked too. I don't know how I'm gonna rationalize this one. I guess just pray it goes up in value. Maybe get lucky on the holidays. I couldn't believe how beautiful Fran Drescher was though in the lingerie scescene. That was crazy but barely even a shot so even that was frustrating. All my Shout Select purchases lately have sucked. Endless Love, Incredible Shrinking Woman. All just rancidly horrible. Only the worst movies of all time are worse. I got too wienery.
>Shout Select
Their 2-disc release of The Wizard is great.
Kuffs is also a good disc but a shit movie.
Did you upgrade to bluray? I think I remember you saying you hadn't and weren't particularly interested. Before I upgraded I wound up with a couple. I have a couple 4k but have never even seen a 4k movie let alone own the setup.
I've always had a bluray player but mainly buy dvd's
Oh well you're in a really good place for it regarding releases. Barfly boxset just got announced. Lots of great releases we never got in america
Nice to see another dvd collector here
I got Season 1 and 2 of Downton Abbey recently
Great quality DVDs but honestly I'm not sure if I like it, I don't like how episodic and unfocused the show is and a part of me feels like I'm being taken along on an amusement park ride to be shown a bunch of historical things rather than a well written drama
Currently looking for a DVD of John Adams (2008) but I can't seem to find it no matter how many op shops I go to
What about ebay? Looks to be $10 at most grand total for a nice looking 3 disc set. It wasn't on my radar but I might pick one up too now.
I only buy dvd's that are $2-4 unfortunately
I just wish op would post the receipts. That seems like it should be fine.
Have you been to op shops before?
Wut
frick off amerifat the aussies are posting now
based opshopper.
if you want another good place to look i'd suggest a public library. i've gotten some really nice DVDs and blurays from there. the staff will sometimes put their personal stuff up for sale to fund the library.
I only buy stuff I'm going to watch multiple times.
Pretty good month for Vinegar Syndrome, I bought pic related and Heavy Metal Parking Lot.
Based VS appreciator.
Excellent collection brother.
Is Stiff Competition in there? That one's dumb fun even if you don't like porn.
I hope they put out The Story of Ricky in November.
where is Friday?
It ain't Friday yet
based shit taste chad. i unironically watch old shitty 80s/90s movies for the obscure slices of time and space they capture. sunlight on a windowsill, a house plant, a beautiful girl you'll never see again in another movie. it's an abstract kind of feel
I know me too. For example I'd love to get a list of every arcade game ever shown.
>NA Skins
are you ok?
I have the UK one too
Also the US one has its moments, it's mostly a poorly done rehash but it tried to do its own thing at some points
This is OPs mindest.
Buying [product] to put it on a shelf, for a brief moment of fulfillment in his empty life.
Well yeah, it fills a void, but everyone does that too in some way
Don't compare my collection with those ugly things though
That's what I just did with Doctor Detroit in an effort to make the most of my horrible purchase. I initially threw it in the closet.
