The EMH episodes were made off the back of his stint in Thunderbolts where he found out he could just solo the world. He just suspended every superhuman in the air column high enough that they could barely breathe and just dangled around like ragdolls. All the mutants? Gone. Avengers? Gone. FF? Gone. The only reason he lost that one is that he didn't do it to fellow villains and the Tbolts took him out.

Doctor Rot is legitimately the best pure Wolverine villain. There's no bullshit backstory connection or anything, the two's rivalry with eachother is entirely organic in a way that reminds me of most of Batman or Spider-Man's classic line ups. He's insane and freaky enough to be a threat or at least not instantly die in a CQC fit because muh crazy organ surgeon shit, but has ways to fight Logan that aren't just "What if I had regeneration and claws too?" or "What if I could negate regeneration?" unlike most of his roster and he makes an interesting parallel with how he's obsessed with unraveling the secrets of the Weapon X program based purely on how he learned about it while fighting Wolverine. And personalitywise he hits a nice sweetspot between modern murderpsycho Joker and Hamil's schizo Joker who's always having a laugh which is nice.

The fact that he's only been used all of twice, with a cameo appearance in a mid-Deadpool book after, is criminal.

      Never heard of him

        Anonymous

He's basically one of those slasher, hillbilly horror psycho types. He and Wolverine first got into it when Wolverine got bamboozled into his insane asylum where Rot was conducting fricked up experiments involving human brains, only to realize that Logan regenerated from almost anything so he could harvest a sample of his brain and it would start rebuilding itself. Used the bits he cut off to create fricked up monsters later. Also cut a dude's hands off and replaced them with chainsaws, it was fun.

It was a nice, basic, psychological horror into gorey schlock plot that was really carried by solid execution. Second appearance had him doing a Hillbilly horror house thing with some of his family members and trying to get his experiments up and running again.

Honestly that sounds more like a Deadpool villain

            Anonymous

Deadpool does not need to have a monopoly on "insane villains who do gorey experiments" and Wolverine could really use the variety, particularly since the dynamic was pretty good, particularly it's interesting to have Wolverine have someone he legitimately hates that intensely who isn't tangled up in either Mutant or Weapon X bullshit, it somehow makes it come off as more organic and legitimate if we can see that develop on panel rather than having it slid in from a frequently retconned backstory.

I'm Spidergay and I think that was completely warranted. His radioactive tolerance is the only reason he survived X-Ray's attack. The U-Foes are heavy hitter Hulk villains and a mock Fantastic Four

          Anonymous

It's also the fact that three of the U-Foes HARD counter Spiderman if he doesn't have enough prep time or back up.

            Anonymous

Well what is he supposed to do? They're all OP as frick when working as a team. Granted Peter's no slouch as Rhino alone is a big deal, and the Sinister Six could technically qualify as an Avengers threat, but he only manages that due to trash talking and running circles around their dysfunction with one another. Just look at the U-Foes
            >Vector's repulsion fields are versatile as hell.
            >Vapor can turn into any gas and practically untouchable
            >Ironclad's strength and density control is pretty self-explanatory
            >X-Ray flies, and can emit any type of radiation
So yeah, Peter is fighting uphill

      Anonymous

It's still funny to me that the U-Foes have yet to actually face the Fantastic Four, also yeah ever since saw these guys in that one movie tie in game always liked them and think you could do a lot with their dynamic since people forget Vapour and Vector are married plus X-Ray is her younger brother. That bit where in Immortal Hulk where they realise it's not right to brutalise the Hulk...because X-Ray should be gettting his turn to do it is also brilliant and shows they should still be quite nasty but at least like each other even if not the best team players

        Anonymous

I'm amazed that MCU directors decided to use Galactus heralds instead of the U-Foes for their first F4 movie. Shit writers itself, they have the same damn origin! The U-Foes even "die" in their debut comic

Yet Graviton is a strong villain, while Magneto is a weak one. Magneto has never 1v1ed anyone especially powerful and won, he always gets fodderized once he stops bullying humans are near human mutants

Nova would beat the frick out of Graviton too. In fact I'm pretty sure both Graviton and Magneto's powers are weaker versions of things Worldmind Nova can do

Regardless my point is that Magneto is actually insanely weak for someone in his so called "weight class" despite having control of the "stronger" fundamental force than Graviton. He almost always gets laid low in 1v1s unless his opponent is a lightly armed human or near baseline mutant

Thad The Chad isn't used as often as he should be. Lately he's just been a crazed professor focused more on his archeological knowledge running around doing b***h work for Mister Mind rather than being one of THE top minds in DC. There was a time even Lex Luthor respected his intellect. Doctor Sivana even rivals Lex Luthor's brain, but sadly is an afterthought. I guess the main difference between them is Thaddeus is willing to try and comprehend magic and twist it with science, whereas Lex doesn't frick around with arcane bullshit.

I like Owl, he's very stylish. He's just a smug unhinged bastard of a crimelord, I think that's nice. i like depth in villains but I don't think he particularly needs much. And it's cool to have some competition for Fisk in the NYC crime scene every now and again.

Also it was that homosexual Wolverine who stole his look, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND

What’s cool about the Owl he was able to be a credible match against Daredevil in his early appearances. Sort of like how Vulture was Spider-Man’s decent nemesis too at a time. Now both have exoskeletons or something to enhance their strengths huh? Also Owl was also a decent scholar of the law which made him a great foil to Murdock. Shame they didn’t have Owl Jr get on to the Netflix Daredevil series to raise hell like they planned against Fisk.

Yeah like that series was off. Like the Kree were behind a bunch of stuff that would be ignored in the movies, Netflix and Disney Plus series obviously or not really if we go by The Marvels still but holy shit you establish you have this race that can bring people back from the dead, make them Inhumans (sort of), make the Skrulls and others their slaves etc etc but because they’re light years from their home planet they can still get BTFOed by street level SHIELD agents and this has nothing to do with Carol nuking them in the film timeline too. I dunno both AoS and Captain Marvel movies made the Kree morons so I’m assuming that’s from up on top in Disney that the white and blue aliens gotta be stand ins for pathetic Nazis or something like I’m assuming Feige and Iger down here.

    Wonder Woman villains in general.

Circe and Dr Psycho are the only ones shown any sort of respect when they shows up in other comics (ie doesn't completely job, is in character, etc). And even then they rarely show up. Circe's bright spot was the early to mid '10s (JLD, Trinity, SM/WW) and Dr Psycho's was the mid 00s (Manhunter, Villains United/Secret Six).

Meanwhile Cheetah and Giganta has a long history of being jobbers with no personality, Ares never showed up outside of WW comics despite being one of her big three alongside Cheetah and Circe, and literally none of her other villains ever get used outside the comics beyond "teehee what a shitty villain, Batman certainly has none of tho--oh Kiteman showed up again!! >just magical gadgets

seems underwhelming. she needs to drink a potion or something that makes her a magic version of a super soldier, and doesn't seem dangerous is she isn't an antagonist for midnight sons and dr strange as well

No she's only had like 2 major appareances
            Once against the Young Avengers
            Once against the Avengers Academy

She seems like the perfect character to be Kamala's arch villains.

    >underutilized
    -the Basilisk. a Morbius villain
-juggernaut, he should be in dr. strange comics because he's powered by cytorrak
-xanto starblood, because he'd be a villain for any life form that's unique
-dark beast, he was the only antagonist for x-men i've ever taken seriously because the only reason he's in 616 is because it actually tried to "win the game" by getting to the m'kraan crystal
-stardust is just too cool not be be a major antagonist for beta ray bill and others
-emplate ought to be a major antagonist for threnody, if but they would have to make threnody a more prominent character

    >recognition
i often wonder why illusionist villains don't team up with different mediums of deception. mysterio has technology, why doesn't he team up with judas traveler to pull off major deceptions? they could even have shapeshifters with them like mystique and pull off major heists against both heroes and villains

True, I don't think she should go full AI because god knows comics have enough robots but what about a mutilated woman who escapes her body insecurities by wearing metal mask/power armour. You could make her evil woman version of doctor doom or iron man

The funny thing is Rucka made Dr Cyber into an AI based on Veronica Cale's dead lesbo girlfriend. But since everything and nothing is canon, nobody cared. She's more interesting as a mastermind anyway because female masterminds are super fricking rare in comics.
