Until Dawn is basically a '90s teen horror fiction plot. It borrows so much from Christopher Pike >https://archive.org/details/slumberparty00pike
Surprised the horror movie genre have rarely ventured in that direction.
Is that the flamethrower guy? I played Until Dawn to 100%, and that's why I think an adaption doesn't make sense. You're seeing less content when you watch a movie compared to a video game, so it would have to be amazing. I don't even recognise the people in the OP.
Thank you, Until Dawn loremaster. I said flamethrower guy, and I'm not even sure what I meant. I just remember there being a guy with a flamethrower who fights the wendigos.
They lucked out with Rami Malek. He was basically a nobody B-lister until Dr Robot and Dr Robot came out the same year as Until Dawn. Until Dawn was so long in development that they probably got him when he was an extra in Twilight
I think I only mentioned Rami Malek because he's a big star now, and he probably wasn't at the time. Still, I think Until Dawn had a likeable cast, and I don't like these new people.
The story actually wasn't good, and the best thing about the game was interactivity/being able to decide what happens. It makes a movie adaption seem really illogical.
Look at how attractive the original cast was; This is what they're competing with. I don't like to be a negative nancy, but it's probably dead on arrival.
The story was decent. The strong part was that it's very layered and it tells like 3 stories at the same time and they overlap and lead to confusion as the one clue doesn't fit into the story you are following.
The game is full of all sorts of foreshadowing and clues.
Right? It's even worse when the original thing has faces. How will they get people to watch this one? The original answer was: the cast, and it won't work this time.
They do a good job with the casting. They get all these names that are big enough that everyone goes ''hey, I know that guy'' but are also cheap to get. You see a guy like Lance Henriksen and you think, holy shit, that's the guy from Aliens, it must have cost them 10 million to get that guy. Probably cost them 50K.
I think Until Dawn had four attractive women, and the 4th isn't even visible in the cast I posted. The adaption (like all modern adaptions) failed before anyone has seen it.
>Movie adaptation of a movie game
The game is already a movie ffs
it's a horror adventure game chuddies, try to keep up

>adapting a game that is basically an interactive movie
Heavy Rain film when?
>Heavy Rain film when?
I'd watch it, couldn't be worse than 90% of current video game movie adaptations
>no Black folks
what's the catch?
>movie game
>remake it to be more cinematic by today's standards
>also adapt it to film
Why
Wait, don't these things already star semi-famous actors? Why recast?
this shit came out years and years ago anon. These characters are supposed to be college-aged
that doesn't mean anything today, they got Cate Blanchett playing that role in borderlands
that movie was garbage though
>game already stars well known actors and actresses and plays like a movie
>make a movie with a totally different cast of nobodies instead
Couldn't be deader on arrival.
The game had big names like Hayden Panettiere and Rami Malek. It makes so little sense to adapt a movie game.
>Rami Malek
>big name
He literally won an Oscar for best actor, moron
I don't believe you
Not to mention Peter Stormare

No, the psychiatrist between chapters.
Oh... right. I guess I played it a long time ago. Plus, I only know Peter Stormare's face. I don't think I could even name one of his movies.
Flamethrower guy was Larry Fessenden. He also wrote the game.

The video game literally has a more star-studded cast than the movie lmao
I bet she could still play the MC role
Best girl
>can a film adaption of a movie game with real actors work????
No
Right? It's even worse when the original thing has faces. How will they get people to watch this one? The original answer was: the cast, and it won't work this time.
The original cast is like, right there? They're actual real fricking people lmao why are they like this?
>Here's those college kids I was telling you about
IT WAS JUST A PRANK, HAN
I like how these games keep some struggling actors in work.

Who's going to survive in the end? Just Sam and Mike, right?
reminder that jessica is best girl
kissable lips
