I liked it, but a little underwhelming.
I also don’t know what they’re trying to do with this “end the villainy” movement. I guess it’s like a reverse Watchmen where it’s the villains who are getting discarded, not heroes (kinda fitting for modern day where villains keep getting redeemed or just aren’t part of a film). But so many things count as villainy that I don’t think this makes sense.
With heroes they use that in cynical stories to say how society has worsened it’s values to a point caped crusaders are seen as disposable, but the opposite isn’t gonna give the same feeling.
A little weirded out by this direction for the story, but as long as it’s fun and the girls are hot, I can let it pass.
Its probably why Black Hat doesnt give the slightest shit about it or the Heed thing. It was just another flavor of evil
He probably cares a bit since he really hates heroes. He hated Sunblast and Flug letting him in the HQ despite him being evil in that episode

I think there is a way to do it right where if the world has gotten so depraved and loose with its moral standards that anyone can considered "a hero for their perspective" despite it clearly just being an excuse for bad behavior. That could be a fun take on a overused concept.

CN sure took their sweet time getting this chapter up. This might be the best chapter so far, Gerphs panel work really does wonders for the pacing. Also Captain Estrada acts like a bigger villain than most of the actual villain-aligned characters in this series.
Regarding the video, they keep making new background heroes instead of reusing the ones I personally like, damn it. What they did to Vanity's hair is a travesty he kinda matches Dark Phantom now, though

The news reporter seems to imply coverage (probably paid by Heed's dad) that wants to defend Miss Heed's actions by perpetuating hatred against all villains. So they're probably going to keep Heed secret until the news paints a pretty picture with her

From what we know, Goldheart isn't a total asshole as he is against extreme plots that put civilians at risk (something about a group known as the Noble Seven or something bringing stuff like that to the table and Goldheart being against it). That said, he seems like he'll be pretty dismissive sort like he will view Flug as an annoyance and not taking certain things as seriously as he should thinking he is above it. Can't say for sure though.

She probably wouldnt be able to as Flug would be prepared next time. Personally I think the confrontation will be a choice where civilians+PEACE and Heed are in trouble and Goldheart ditches Heed to help the other option. Flug ends up saving Heed. Then there may be a twist where it ends up with Flug having Heed detained and Black Hat trolling him about it

Pretty sure Flug has become immune to Heed's(Flug's) perfume formula since he saw her simping hard for Goldheart. Infact everyone in the city should be immune to Heed's perfume after they saw her kissing a villain.
Why would Flug bother detaining Heed in that circumstance? She would be pretty insignificant at that point. How would Black Hat troll Flug over it since he doesn't care about Heed?

I know Black Hat doesn't care about Miss Heed, but I was talking about Flug. I didn't get the feeling that he cared for her all that much. Not after she stole his Thesis formula, abandoned probably her only friend to join with his worst enemy, and then used him to try to improve his stolen formula so she could win the love of his arch nemesis. Hell at the end of her episode he tricked her into giving him the information about Goldheart, and didn't seems to show much more than pitty for her breakdown. Plus, as far as we know, he hadn't been back since left her in that cell a year ago. It just seem like Flug cares for Heed after all of her betrayals, so why would Black Hat bother taunting him with Heed. He's left Miss Heed in his past and rightfully so after all the shit she's pulled. Nothing left there to taunt him about.
Flug does still care a lot about Heed. On BH's end it'll simply be more about twisting the knife by making him personally do something worse than just simply leaving her in a facility that is supposed to help her.
BH is teaching Flug to be a savage.
He shrinks down real planes for his collection, puts them in glass globes, and refuses to let the passengers out. Flug already is a savage.

What will these two be about? I've heard there is a character called Kaleb or something that goes inside one of the books, but I'm pretty sure that's BH book.
I wonder what Heed's book will be about. An attempt to clean up her image or an actual book detailing her life growing up, her time at BH Academy, falling for Goldheart and becoming a "hero", and her mysterious father (who sent his daughter to a villain school).
I also hope her book flops in canon, and the media's propaganda campaign to save her image fails.
Heed's book and BH's book will probably be like the Flug one, where there's summaries of characters and events from the show alongside hints of the future.

Here's a question, why was it so hard for Miss Heed to find Flug? If he works directly for the big guy and people come from all over to make a deal with BH, then shouldn't it be pretty simple? She could have done the brainwashing ploy at anytime, it shouldn't have taken her THAT long to get to Flug.

Black Hat. He can passively fuck with the cognition of everyone on as large a scale as he desires. The Hat is canonically everywhere and people can't seem to notice.
Flug is in his plans and he obscured him from her.
If Black Hat can really do that and he's all knowing, or is supposed to be, why did he let Flug be tricked into going to her? Does that somehow play into Black Hat's own plans?
He's basically a lovecraftian outer god. Who knows what he is up to? It's implied he is omniscient and only feigns ignorance to mess with people. For all we know he's playing 5D chess to mess with Flug and setting the pieces up for a little three way confrontation between him, Goldheart, and Heed that will potentially fuck Goldheart without Black Hat having to lift a finger.
I don't know much about Lovecraft's work, but I've heard of Cthulhu. I'm guessing Black Hat is something like that.
I'm also guessing that Black Hat is doing all of this for shits and giggles. If he's that powerful I imagine he could beat Goldheart, and all the heros pretty easily. He could just will Goldhearts powers away, or just curb stomp him without having to worry about powers having any effect on him at all. No elabrate plan necessary unless he doing it for his own amusement. Unless the endgame is to have all of the characters find a way kill Black Hat together.
It's important to remember that Black Hat loves to fuck with Flug.

Working for black hat must fucking suck. What's the benefit seriously? because as far as I can tell it just going on missions, doing whatever odd work and random shit black hat wants done, and being tortured for his own amusement.
I think the benefit for Flug is a mystery, but both Flug and Dementia admire their boss for his villainy. Flug hates entitled heroes and wants to support BH in getting rid of them while Dem loves his pure evil.
Black Hat is basically god of villainy and THE top dog (Illuminarrow going "Oh my Black Hat" when in shock). Even if its two bitches and a half enduring his bullshit (Flug has to literally cryo freeze himself to "sleep") there is some level of personal honor in the villain game to be so close to him.
That and y'know he probably doesn't have a choice regardless. Black Hat brought HIM in, not the other way around. He wants Flug for some reason and if he didn't, Flug would have never ended up at his manor.

I hope she gets more to do, I feel like they did her pretty dirty in this comic. She's even on the cover yet she was treated as a small bump in the road compared to Porccini and Cassino who have been a consistent element in Mawrasites and Illuminarrows journey. Pretty lame to do for a relatively well-liked BG character that had the chance to shine and be properly fleshed out.
