I had a trans friend who worked a tech support job. All he had to do was sit in an air conditioned office and deal with old people who forgot their passwords and some such.
Despite him transitioning at the time, and newly coming out to his family, he complained 10x more about this job. How soul crushing it was, and how he dreamed of quitting it. So from my experience watching him: The "cushy" office job is way worse than identity stuff.
