Really hope this suffers a fate similar to dhmis where the unreleased first episode is completely different from the rest of the series because the creators realized this episode was too political and got rid of what people liked about the series.
>too political
It was just the right amount. Everyone in 2003 said "gay" and "moronic," and it was unrealistic that Rocko, Heffer, and Philbert immediately accepted their transgender friend without asking any questions. You can't just teleport someone 20 years into the future and expect them to immediately adjust. This was a funny and realistic portrayal of that.
>he appears again >but then gets revealed that is actually not a clone of Gandhi >instead is the clone of someone else
you would be okay with that or you would be more angry?
>it was unrealistic that Rocko, Heffer, and Philbert immediately accepted their transgender friend without asking any questions
Nobody mentioned that show. But I also felt it was weird since they found every new thing odd or intriguing but not the new Bighead. Not that I’d want them to bring too much attention to it, but not even a single question like “really?” or “how’d that happen?” Not a episode killer, but you can tell the writers are stepping on eggshells or at the very least trying really hard to not piss anyone off.
Appearantley they scrapped the DHMIS pilot because they didn’t like the humor of it and they also didn’t like the bigger cast of characters as they liked the claustrophobic feeling
He is his own character
He is not Ghandi, but simply a man who so happen to be 100% Ghandi on the flesh and blood
The important part to understand here is that, no matter what he will never be the exact same person as Ghandi, wich is why I am ok with him being some other random Black person
>I am ok with him being some other random Black person
It's the only way to keep the Indian nationalists from shitting themselves raw and flinging the bloody results on everyone on Earth.
>He is not Ghandi, but simply a man who so happen to be 100% Ghandi on the flesh and blood
Congrats, you're right but at the cost of the entire mystique and joke of the show.
In a perfect world, they would just laugh off how silly the controversy around him was, make fun of it a little, and then ignore it and move on without further bullshit.
But we don’t live in that world, so if the price of keeping him on is to make him Gary Coleman’s clone and then laugh about how silly that is and how silly the fact they had to write that is, I’ll take it.
Worst case scenario is they retcon him completely.
My only assumption is that the episode isn't quite finished, I mean, they had the Getty Images watermark still in the episode and I don't think that's a gag
I hope it's not the final cut, I really do not like Cleo's new voice
Cleo’s voice was so consistent that they’re either nearly finished recording her and that’s just what she sounds like now, or they’ve barely started recording her. I also didn’t like it, but I now don’t have a lot of hope that it will be as good as she was originally.
I’m not sure if the show even needs to keep her as a character, though. In this first ep, it seems like the new clones filled in her role, and now she could get phased out if the writers don’t decide to do something new with her. Which there’s plenty they could do if they wanted, but just dropping her is also an option.
GET YOUR HAIR DRYERS, ANONS
They're obviously building up to his return.
He better be in the majority of the season, no saving him until the end, not even near the end.
Are they really gonna bring him back after what happened to get the show cancelled the first time?
They've mentioned on record that they'll likely get past the Ghandi issue by revealing he's the clone of someone else, probably Gary Coleman.

I mean... They made a survey for a reason, they probably started working on season 3 right now
What survey?
See https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/135228780/#135228780 for context
That was the plan, they pitched a new season where it is revealed he's actually Gary Coleman's clone but that didn't work

Happy.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I’d be sad that they pussied out but happy that he still appears. This is unironically the most I’ve ever been pissed off about a show.

I'd be fine with it
I wouldn’t mind it too much.

his time will come
Yeah, that first episode did a really good job preserving the comedic tone I remember.
Though that other anon I saw was right: I don’t remember this much gore. That was kinda weird.
So what was up with the audio? Were they not finished recording, and this cut had half the lines subbed out? Or are they doing a weird gag?
The season is still in post production so it's not the final mix
My only assumption is that the episode isn't quite finished, I mean, they had the Getty Images watermark still in the episode and I don't think that's a gag

>"Oh boy guys, taco night! Everybody gets a sombrero!"
>Cut back to frozen Ghandi wearing a sombrero
what do i watch if i want to watch humor more like the original clone high?
