third season sucked and I'm not even one of those people that disliked pinpin or his power creep. Why did amalia ntr yugo with himself? that has to be a french trope or something it felt so out of place
Iop brained frenchmen who somehow made it in the first place. Seriously, how did they pull off two shows and a spoinoff movie for Dofus with basically just MMO advertising budget and a bit of crowd funding later on.
EXTREMELY poor planning as a company. There's so many games that never got localized and became vaporware because Ankama made no effort to bring them to any other platform, so huge, important chunks of the story were permanently inaccessible to the audience, and no effort was made to put that lore anywhere else. The rest of that lore was loosely tied to the MMOs, which while perfectly okay and playable, were grindfests that demanded a lifestyle-level of of dedication to truly get anything out of.
Do you want to know what Qilby's deal is? What the frick the Eliacubes are for? Who the frick the 12 Eliatrope Dofuses are tied to? What the frick the Krosmoz and Stasis are? Too bad. Oh, by the way, in the time between seasons, they've turbofricked that lore even more with paradox bullshit to cram in about half a dozen new classes and Gods and nations, but they're literally never going to follow up on any of that in any way you can learn about.

This new lancer thing i dont get though. Like, the frick separates them from any of the other class/races using a spear?
Powerlevels went out of control. Was better when it was a fun adventure of the day show that had an ongoing arc threaded throughout. But then it basically became DBZ where the main fighters kept getting stronger and stronger. And then s3 was basically a full on anime "gotta fight the villains one by one" arc,

Yeah people get b***hy about non-plot episodes but those were really fun and used the characters better than the main plot did.

Every issue the later seasons had was present in S1, you just overlooked it because it nailed the landing.
