I love anime and I love western cartoons but "anime-like" western cartoons are pretty much dogshit with zero exceptions.
Are there any western-style Japanese cartoons?

Have you heard about this little series called atla?
I alluded to it when I said “dogshit with zero exceptions”
>claims "all X is shit"
>was given a counterexample
>just brushes it off without providing any argument
Matthew 7:6
Suck my wiener, ATLA is dogshit.
Because?
no matter what the chidren say, ATLA is barely at the level of NAruto's worst fillers. It's not creative, it's not clever, it's just tropes tropes tropes and Americans being full on their usual "it's better when WE do it" copium.
>Are there any western-style Japanese cartoons?
Panty & Stocking?
Code Lyoko was good.
Super Crooks is pretty westaboo.
I would've said AtLA, but honestly, it's not that anime-like. It was their intention, obviously, but in the end they very much did their own thing.
Nah, it's really anime like. Character arcs, world with weird rules that it's explored in adventures, anime reaction faces, anime fights, even some ecchi tropes. Even azula acts like an anime villainess. The most western thing about it are the jokes and the dialogue(no shit the writers were westerners)
>Like, as soon as our plane landed, like, all our facial features disappeared and like our hair got all floofy and spikey ha ha ha ha
welcome back shaggy and scooby doo get a clue
I remember when all the villains were land speculators in rubber masks.
yes
well, capitalism put and end to that
You know its japanese for sure when the monsters are sushi
Well, of course we have to make our monsters sushi and sumo wrestlers, because Japanese mythology is known for lacking distinctive and bizarre monsters, right?
>Story set in Japan.
>There's still a black OC
*ding* *ding* *ding* *ding*
*AYOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO*
>"anime" from "people" who want to fix anime
Why the frick do they always have to go with with simplistic facial features. Not all anime looks like that. Stop being lazy and learn to draw faces you talentless pricks
Pluto had really good character design.
well that's because the designs are based off of the manga which was made by a great artist.
>cute anime girl with pink hair
What could possibly go wrong?
Also, fan arts of her when
>*anime-like*
down the fricking trash id goes
