Do women actually find this look preferable to bulging bodybuilders, or is that just cope of guys who can't achieve top gains?

yea, most girls like the dad bod look. But its a VERY HIGH plus if youre ripped and bulky.

If attached to a pretty face, absolutely
For uggos, they need muscles and definition (not BB body though)

Part of me has always suspected that the excessive rippage bodybuilders do looks unnatural and women might find it off-putting, but I don't know how much of that comes from assessment of my own body, which is only a bit more muscular than twink.

Bodybuilders look disgusting, they don't really care about aesthetics
But a Zyzz type of build can definitely make you more attractive to women if you don't have a good looking face
I also think a Frank Zane type of body (minus the manlet part) is also highly attractive, it's what passes as "natural" these days

    >How do you know the summer is really and truly over? My dad says it's over precisely one second after midnight on September 31st. My friend Ellen says it's over the moment you start thinking about whether to buy a three-ring binder or a spiral notebook for school. But for me, the way I know the summer is a goner, is when my brother Pete and Artie, the strongest man in the world, go to the beach and try to beat up the ocean. They're not crazy, just angry. Angry that the summer has to end. I know exactly how they feel. Every year, it seems like the summer is over about 10 seconds after it started. Especially this summer.
How is it even possible to put THAT much soul into a TV show?

Amazing writing, soundtrack and even child acting all wrapped into one great show. One of my favorites of all time, not just kid shows because it didn't treat itself like one. Frick them for not releasing season 3 on DVD.

Even with the great crop of kids shows in the nineties, Pete and Pete feels in a league of its own

Only shows like Maid Marian and her Merry Men and Round the Twist come close in imagination and soul

the whole show always had this 'end of summer' feeling to it for some reason. the guys who wrote it definitely grew up in some suburb like that, they captured the whole suburb thing better than any show or movie i can think of

The "end of summer" feeling triggers me so hard, because I remember EXACTLY how it feels, like the end of an era, it's impossible to fathom waiting for the next summer. A year in a child's mind might as well be an eternity. The "end of summer" feeling is the sweetest, most profound, deepest melancholy possible. Nothing beats it, and what makes it so great is the knowledge, buried very deep inside that feeling, that it's gonna be ok. No other kind of melancholy has that. Bill Watterson understood it. Will McRobb and Chris Viscardi understood it. Not many other people do. I do think back wistfully at my childhood but it's nothing compared to what I felt once a year back then, when my grandmother said: "Sure seems autumn is coming".
        And then I knew.

Back when gingers could openly mock the mentally handicapped. When SuperSoakers could take out the neighbor's kids eyes, and the smell of freshly mowed grass and pollen stuck to your clothing.
Why were we in such a hurry to grow up?

That's such a distinct but memorable scent that I know exactly what you're talking about.
