Was he a good person?
What's your definition of good?
The whole vigilante schtick makes him a good person in my eyes
No, he was neither good or bad. The character never fell one way or the other, and that's why the show ultimately sucked. It was spineless.
Is that true? I thought they kind of made him not a psychopathy at the end?
He exiled himself but he didn't stop being a psychopath. But that's the problem, it was the least interesting outcome they could've gone with.
The first seasons were about him wrestling with his need to kill and leaning towards being normal because of his marriage and birth of his son. Then they pull the rug out with Rita's death, okay. But instead of committing to that in season 5, they only teased it.
After that point his character arc went nowhere. They just rehashed it every season.
Eventually they brought in the Australian woman as a kind of idealized halfway point between Rita and his arsonist lover. Someone who understands him, but wants to settle down. And instead of making a decision about the character one way or another, they go, nah we'll just have him give up and fuck off to the woods. That's why they came back 10 years later, because the ending was so shitty and unsatisfying.
Yeah, he had a good set of morals. A good person trying to contain his mental trauma by doing what's right in a cucked world that protects criminals.
>I JUST MUST KILL PEOPLE
>I MUST KIIIILL PEOPLE
>NO I'M A GOOD PERSON AAAA
he murdered an innocent black police officer in cold blood
the last episode of New Blood isn't canon, the penultimate episode is the actual finale
Man I'm so fucking pissed about New Blood still. They had 10 fucking years to come back with something to make it up to the fans that were salty about how it ended originally, and they GIVE US SOMETHING EVEN WORSE.
I'm one of the few who actually enjoyed the original ending. I thought it was a fine end to the show. It could have been better, but holy shit, compared to New Blood it was fucking fantastic.
why did he have to die?
depends who you ask. the people he murdered for example probably wouldn't think so
No. He never hides the fact, from the viewer, that he only kills his victims because he likes killing people. Not because it's just. It's only like 40+ murders in that he starts to actually kill people for reasons other than just wanting to kill people. He's also killed multiple innocent people.
Why did they make the psychiatrist tell Debra she secretly wanted to fuck Dexter, and Debra agreed, and then this storyline went nowhere?
he killed that random dude in the gas station bathroom for no reason
I stopped watching during the awful lumen season. Does it ever get good again/should I power through to watch the reboot?
I hated the lumen season my first 2 viewings but the third time I cared so little it didnt even bother me.
everything after season 3 is not great. you start jonesing for little scenes with Lundy or olivia Wilde's sister.
whole show kinda sucks 2bh. first doakes, then rita, then laguerta then quinn, then trinity then lumen, then debs moron bf, then gay Ukrainian mobster then hannah, then dr. granny and co. AAAAAAAAAAAAA
fuck how could I forget religious extremists worst season ever
He was a good monster
people (women) have said i have a similar personality to this guy. i've never watched the show.
is this good or bad?
they can sense your autism bro
how is Dexter autistic? are you projecting?
How is he not?
What personality are they talking about? The murderous one or the stalker one? If murderous one, good. If stalker one, bad.
He had some good on him before that british bitch killed doakes
>sorry for your loss
lol why’d that guy’s post get deleted, I’m not black, that wasn’t racism
