Amazing Digital Harriet. Fun combo. Cute stuff anon. And yeah, it does seem like a lot of people are over there for now enjoying the energy. Even OCs are being made. Good time being had. As for requests, how about a gymnast or sprinter Rachel? One of those athletic uniforms that ride high and show off some nice tummy.
That would be adorable, maybe if he owns the company he could do that

There were a few shots in the 2nd last episode of Season 2 where it look like she'd be in tears, but no.

No. Media has been in a sharp decline. There is nothing modern that is better than its 90s or even 00s counterpart. Hope you like the part where she makes out with a black guy.
I never realized how weird her nose looks and that combined with how her eyes are baggy at such a young age she must've been real happy with the transformation as she got older
yeah she always looked weird to me, but that was the point. she was cast as the little weirdie on Pete and Pete. and thankfully she got hot as she grew up. that is NOT something that happens reliably.
it's funny you say that, watching the paradigm of western live action kids stuff change... in classic Nick, they were deliberately casting regular-looking kids, relatable, warts and all. then the new Nick management in the 21st century was like "Frick that, let's just be Disney. Nevermind someone is already being Disney and we're being us." and it was boring pretty Hollywood garbage from then on
>I'd put it just below Hey Arnold.
Funny you mention Hey Arnold.
The pilot for that show aired before the Harriet the Spy movie in theaters.
It took over ten years for the pilot to come online.
OH I just thought of a good request, if you wanna skew timelines a bit for the sake of a crossover.
Harriet giving Helga spying tips.
Or the other way around, with Helga giving her spying tips, maybe with a tech notion of "See Harriet, we have _____ now". As if Harriet time traveled to the future kek.
>The pilot for that show aired before the Harriet the Spy movie in theaters.
Wow, that's ridiculous. I know some times this stuff takes a while but over ten years is wild.
I mean it's not like it was going to be online when it came out, being online in 2006 is actually impressively soon.
I feel like one or both of us got a little confused about what anon meant. I do know Craig was pitching around Arnold since the 80s, claymation Arnold showed up on Pee-Wee's Playhouse.
Well for something that was made back in, iirc 1994, it still took some time for it to surface. I mean, not every pilot gets found. I don't even remember anymore how to came up.
>I feel like one or both of us got a little confused about what anon meant. I do know Craig was pitching around Arnold since the 80s, claymation Arnold showed up on Pee-Wee's Playhouse.
Is that what he meant? That it took so long to even get a pilot made? Nah, I was meaning it took a while for the pilot to make it online. I never saw Harriet the Spy movie when it came out so there was no way of seeing the pilot until it came online years later.

okay yeah so we're talking about how long it took to get online
the thing about that is, when you go back in time far enough, it stops being surprising it took so long, and it turns into "how did it get online so SOON?"
>I'd put it just below Hey Arnold.
Funny you mention that show considering this one's handled by a classic Nickelodeon type as well (Will McRobb, the Pete & Pete guy)
McRobb's on this show? holy shit, no wonder it was so good. Glad to hear he's bouncing back after Nick fricked him and us over with that "yeah we're gonna bring all the 90s stuff back, AND put the old creators in charge of it! oh just kidding we're pulling the plug on all of it." and all we got out of it was the jungle movie finally, a good but just good IZ movie, and the unspeakable horror of that Rocko thing. Then it was back to the status quo, milking weird redos of Rugrats
Do it!
I did it
if I was less lazy I would draw the title logo too or something
how about harrier with her eyes literally launching out of her sockets and her mouth expanding to the size of head?
probably in response to marion beating her or something
Cute Harriet. Her not picking it up with her hands and instead eating it off the table is fun. Like she's a cat or something. Possibly to scurry off with it in her mouth to eat it somewhere private.
well, he DID buy her that coat. she's showing her appreciation one way or another. >"You know what I expect, Marion. Good grades, unbruised maids, and don't bring home any spades."
I think you nailed that coat here very well. I like the quiet smugness of this Marion. She knows shes best and knows full well you'll realize that soon as well. That she's in a naked fur coat is a great bonus and the extra of it being a fur on both sides to show just how fancy a coat it is is fun. Thanks anon.
Had a dumb crossover idea on a bus today. Harriet the Detective, talking to skills from Disco Elysium. >Volition: Don't start a scene Harriet. You wrote those mean things, you should apologize to your classmates >Half-Light: No, never apologize to your bullies. Break their fingers instead. All of them. >Electrochemistry: You should kiss Sport >Conceptualization: No, kiss Marion instead
>Harriet pinning down Beth Ellen to chew her her >She then uses it to cover BE's mouth and starts to kiss her with the hair being the only thing separating her lips >Beth Ellen gets nervous and starts chewing on her own hair slowly removing the shield between both their lips
Given how staid the pop music scene was after Elvis and before the Beatles, and how prevalent comedy albums were at this time, I totally see Harriet having stuff like Stan Freberg, Allan Sherman, Bob Newhart, the Smothers Brothers and Carl Reiner & Mel Brooks' 2000 Year Old Man in her collection

secondly, what did you think anon meant? because anon meant "This (great request) is the reason we have drawthreads (so we can get great requests)"
he was not saying "we have drawthreads to keep people like you out of here"
neither interpretation makes sense with your reply anyway. I think you meant to describe the fact that a lot of the requests are supremely autistic, repetitive, irrelevant, and that's the case in drawthreads all the time too.

I'm trying to find the character design turnaround for each of the characters. I've found the designs for props by one of the designers of the show, but have had 0 luck for the characters.
Harriet getting bullied was kino. If there was a whole show about an autistic girl who nobody likes dealing with life while also getting petty revenges and judging people I would watch 3 seasons of it
Fantastic. Exaclty what I was hoping for. Nice feet with and her hair slicked back and even a nicely detailed bathtub. You're really killing it with these Harriets there anon. You have a page or something?
I'm not good at explaining things, but I hope this helps :p
The main thing is that the brush I use is set to 60% density. The whole process is quite tedious, but I'm (mostly) happy with the result. I also don't copy and paste lineart, otherwise it wouldn't look "soft".
Doing this stuff makes lineart so much more exciting
Ohh so cool, thank you for sharing details of your process, your art is one of the best parts about these boards fr
I'm attempting to learn how to draw, this actually looks like a nice way of doing line art. Thanks for sharing your process
must concur. as a chronic obsessive who can't help but use pure clean lines, this appeals to me the way sneaking a quiet swear excites a catholic schoolgirl

that would actually be really cute
a spiritual successor kinda show about a girl who's picked on but her friends get on this new internet thing and defend her, anonymously, until they all just conclude she is great
I've got some ideas to improve the show.
Uh, one, Harriet needs to be louder, angrier, and have access to a big fluffy golden retriever.
Two, whenever Harriet's not onscreen, all the other characters should be asking "Where's Harriet?"
Three-
>sport compliments it for its low drag >janie thinks its a stand out color >marion just gives a "hmph", because its totally outshining her outfit >beth ellen trying not to make it obvious she is eyeballing harriet hard and failing
Oh, I thought the image from above was new. I didn't know it was a repost. Very cute.

yeah i'm not good at that stuff
it weirds me out how people seem to be at a totally flat angle when you're facing them, but if you turn your head down to see their feet, suddenly you can see the tops. i can't into perspective.
Sorry to hear anon, a drawgays arms are very important! >i can put the .clip file on catbox or something
Thanks for offering but I dont have anything like that installed nor would I even know how to use it.
oh and I didn't forget abrat you Nobodypaint is the beta version of Mario Paint before they told Intelligent Systems they should really add someone familiar
that's what Harriet is all about! she's gotta spy and learn the dangers
also I don't think it was that dangerous yet. like still dangerous, but i'd go there anyday over the current 'hood. after removing leaded gasoline, crime dropped everywhere except there.
Remember how Marion had claimed Harriet was purely motivated by revenge against her for not being friends anymore? >"You may all think that Harriet M. Welsch just wants to make the play better, but the truth is, she just wants to get revenge on me." >"That's not true." >"Really? So, you're not still furious at me for not being your friend anymore?" >"That was a long time ago."
It's pretty obvious that Marion's the one still bitter about their lost friendship (judging how she went above and beyond with trying to ruin Harriet's life before and after finding the notebook), but I kinda wish someone like Harriet pointed that out.
Well, A Princess Of Mars came out many years before Harriet and the crew would be around. Maybe one of the girls dressed in only israeliteelry like Dejah Thoris from that series?
actual porn is gross and dull. laughter is the best viagra. Otherwise we wouldn't be in a discussion of a show about adolescent girls. We'd be on Cinemaphile discussing uh... Mall b***hes

How similar/different should Beth Ellen's mother be from her book depiction if she were to appear in the show?
Book version of her (named "Zeeney") was very vain and controlling, and she left Beth Ellen in the care of her grandmother to travel around Europe.
I'd imagine there should be some tension between mother and daughter(s).

ah so maybe it'd be her grandma who reads books like that
after all, she raised ONE daughter absolutely pisspoorly, and probably wants to make sure the granddaughter doesn't end up the same way.
also, having been born near the turn of the century she'd have seen both the extremes of Kelloggian neopuritanism and the casual, practical, house-all-one-room nudity of poverty

It's a shame the series ended up on Apple TV of all things. I don't think I know anyone who even uses Apple TV. I wasn't even really sure that was actually a service. Feels like it set the show to end up in obscurity. But at least there are these threads and fun Harriet posting to be had. It's cool to see the anons who swing by and draw up some Harriet and just join in on the fun posting.
That would have been cool. But don't they more or less follow the books? Unless there is a Halloween chapter I'm not sure they could have done that. Still fun to think about the different costumes they'd all wear though.
if the show comes back, which it probably shouldn't, I'd like to see Harriet enjoying more Chinatown stuff. There's nothing as fun as mid 20th century culture-fascination.

This is typical middle class girl's fashion from 1964, but Harriet is intentionally a tomboy and would have worn active clothing, an aspect the show goes out to emphasize, it's a typical modern re-imagining of the past where out of context modern sensibilities are foisted onto a different world.
It's done to make the past more relatable (or comfortable) to modern viewers but at the cost actual history and fact modern creators don't want to address or care about. It's a mix of both being lazy and having a clear political slant.
Thanks for the well informed post. >and having a clear political slant.
What does this have to do with /misc/ shit?
keep in mind, they ARE in new york, and she has pretty chill, hands-off parents. it's not hard to find ads for jeans for little kids in the 60s, boys and girls, there's one cute one where they're eating watermelon together. the idea seems to be that this is a country way of dress, but still, hardly verboten
you're right that they didn't really commit but Apple obviously gave them a race quota and that shot their verisimilitude in the face, so we should just be glad the school uniform got to have skirts at all, even if they are magic skirts. that's more than any other cartoon today gets away with.

I'm not angry about it per say, I don't care much for the current culture wars either way, but there was no point in setting the story in the 60's if they weren't going to show the difference and the aspect of life that changed between then and now, 80 years, almost a century.
The (actual) boomer women who wanted their old books animated in their childhoods, but still wanted to be "progressive" etc...

>give her black BFF a chink pug nose and disgusting ginger freckles
I hate shitlib c**ts so much, just like them to give their white self-inserts an ugly POC pal so they can both look non-racist and yet still mog them
Wait, really? Man, it's been a while. Forgot about that. Looks like Harriet got one of those zoom ins as well. I have got to rewatch and finish this series.
If there were a Valentines episode, I'd imagine it'd have Harriet receiving anonymous love letters from a secret admirer, which comes across as very heartfelt (if rather cryptic). So she goes around the school and the city to every boy she knows (namely Sport, Carlos, and Chuck), trying to figure out the identity of her secret admirer, but none of the boys admit to sending those letters (not even Pinky or "Purple Socks").
She then suspects that Marion was the one sending those letters as a cruel prank to waste her time and make her look dumb (especially when one of the letters has her going to the park by the water for a meeting, only for the sender to no-show). Not helped that everyone else seems to have a special someone in their life, but she doesn't; Sport and Janie seem closer than she thought, and even Pinky and Purple Socks suggests that they're more than just best buds.
Finally, Harriet gets another letter for another meeting, promising to stop sending the letters if they no-show again. She goes to the same spot as before, and she sees Beth Ellen by the water. Once more, Harriet thinks this is one of Marion's twisted jokes on her, but Beth Ellen assures her that it's genuine, and she really likes Harriet, confessing that she was the one sending those letters, citing how Harriet's always been super nice to her (much nicer than Marion, anyway).
How it ends, whether Harriet accepts the offer or not, is up for debate.
In the midst of everyone hating her due to what she said in her notebook, Harriet begins having nightmares and hallucinations of Eddie Spaghetti, as it begins telling her horrid things, like how everything's her fault and she deserves everything coming her way, and it begins walking on its own and trying to kill her.
In a way, she loses the one thing she could depend on, and she slips further into depression and madness.
The mega got hit? Damn it. There goes another one. Really bad since this show is more or less done already. I hope someone can set up another one eventually.
It's a real pain that. Who knows when or if the next Mega may come around. Here's hoping the anon who made it is still around and can make another one day.

Probably think we're brainwashed or zombified or something like that. Sitting at a computer all day, not even watching TV or reading anything of note, just reading and typing short messages to some "Anonymous" guy.

This is such a touching and emotional scene and you're really just going to sexualize it?
he didn't do that, you just did.
everything is sexual, and nothing is sexual
I never realized how weird her nose looks and that combined with how her eyes are baggy at such a young age she must've been real happy with the transformation as she got older
yeah she always looked weird to me, but that was the point. she was cast as the little weirdie on Pete and Pete. and thankfully she got hot as she grew up. that is NOT something that happens reliably.
I guess that's what happens when you can afford expensive skin-care creams once you become famous
it's funny you say that, watching the paradigm of western live action kids stuff change... in classic Nick, they were deliberately casting regular-looking kids, relatable, warts and all. then the new Nick management in the 21st century was like "Frick that, let's just be Disney. Nevermind someone is already being Disney and we're being us." and it was boring pretty Hollywood garbage from then on
Consider suicide
is that william afton on her foot?
God I wish I could drink that bathwater.
Yes!
the show is cute but the writing isn't particularly good
i mean what did you expect though
by modern standards it's amazing
but yes it's nothing groundbreaking. It's no Pepper Ann. I'd put it just below Hey Arnold.
I did it
if I was less lazy I would draw the title logo too or something
oh no, not Mr. Popo face, lmao
>that janie
holy kek, my sides
this one is gold
Big keks.
Thank you.
I'm glad this sparkles with you
I didn't wanna go full Pyunma, she should still be cute.
Nailed that 60's style to a T
rare gem
>Harriet the Eye
>Harriet the Guy
>Harriet the Hi-Fi
>Harriet the (Cobra)-Kai, or Kai(ser Bun)
You guys liking the cartoony Harriets pics?
they're silly and fun.
now I need to see Harriet the Rye
Harriet reads Catcher In the Rye then kills John Lennon.
how about harrier with her eyes literally launching out of her sockets and her mouth expanding to the size of head?
probably in response to marion beating her or something
scaryet
Large Marge
Fair
a justified reaction
>Harriet the Lie
>Harriet the (Bill) Nye
>Harriet the Rye
It wasn't better than the 2004 movie. Should've been animated.
that movie really had such a nice feel to it, I bet a billion insufferable teenagers loved it
the original i mean
>tfw the leeches
Animation is a cake-sniffing medium.
harriet the dry
>Harriet the Stye
>Harriet the Tie
>Harriet the Chai
>Harriet the Rib-Eye Steak
What should Beth Ellen's bedroom look like, in comparison to Harriet's and Marion's bedrooms, with their books and trophies, respectively?
definitely plenty of plushes
yes, lot's of plushes
i know there's more to spy on..
alright that's it, i'm watching the show over again to get art ideas
though in the mean time of course, requests are always kitty
harriet eating a cookie cat, naturally
a reminder of better days for fallen shows.
Cute Harriet. Her not picking it up with her hands and instead eating it off the table is fun. Like she's a cat or something. Possibly to scurry off with it in her mouth to eat it somewhere private.
>harriet singing the cookie cat jingle to everyone who will hear it
>ole golly shoving cotton up her ears
she would, too
Golly prefers licky lions
More smug Marion. Maybe in a gym uniform or in some fancy coat
>marion and harriet admiring each other while in gym clothes
>while trying to pass it off as hate
Make (one of) them sock-less and I'll second it.
I second this second
would either of them forgo socks in gym?
In my time it was very popular.
Especially among the girls.
As was "forgetting" to put the socks back in with nice weather.
lots of people do gym barefoot. works better.
>sport walks in to the gym
>harriet and marion are making out on the gym mats
>"we were uhhh, fighting"
I went into this believing I could draw a fur coat.
What precocious puberty does to a motherfricker.
(Is it appropriate to call women "motherfricker"? Should it be "fatherfricker" perhaps?)
well, he DID buy her that coat. she's showing her appreciation one way or another.
>"Why should the beholder have all the fun?"
Now I really want to see her doing the "coat drops to the floor" pose as she tries to seduce someone
>Miss Hawthorne, you're trying to seduce me
Requesting Sport reacting to the coat like picrel. It doesn't even have to be this particular drawanon.
Rachel dressed as a Catachan Devil from 40k?
Harriet in onion costume meets her hero, The Onion Knight from Dark Souls.
Do
pls sir
How come?
The elevator scene from the hangover but with Harriet, Tulip and Reggie
Seems like someone caught the hangover bug too huh?
who is the baby?
let’s see, how about a chance encounter with the rachel twins
one’s a beatnik and one’s a rastafarian
(bonus points if it’s eggman having the encounter)
…i don’t got as many harriet-related ides as you think these days
Overrated.
King Lear Harriet is the true masterpiece fit for our times.
Had a dumb crossover idea on a bus today. Harriet the Detective, talking to skills from Disco Elysium.
>Volition: Don't start a scene Harriet. You wrote those mean things, you should apologize to your classmates
>Half-Light: No, never apologize to your bullies. Break their fingers instead. All of them.
>Electrochemistry: You should kiss Sport
>Conceptualization: No, kiss Marion instead
>authority: they dont respect a spy, show them their place harriet
i would play a harriet point and click adventure, not gonna lie
No Rosie O' Donnell, so it's better by default.
CF that you?
human physical contact? i should be so lucky
what were the canonical socks height in Harriet's era? mid-calves?
And folded / rolled back to just above the ankle.
in her school uniform they have taller ones but they each wear them differently, Harriet usually has one drooping
Long harriet is long
long legged girls you make the rockin world go round
Yeah, seems like the board sped up a bit there.
course the board's always a bit sped
Another request idea:
Harriet slurping/chewing on Beth Ellen's hair.
>Harriet pinning down Beth Ellen to chew her her
>She then uses it to cover BE's mouth and starts to kiss her with the hair being the only thing separating her lips
>Beth Ellen gets nervous and starts chewing on her own hair slowly removing the shield between both their lips
weirdly cute
it's funnier if it's not even sexual, she just sees beth ellen chewing it and is like "i've gotta find out if there's anything to this"
That is funnier. Harriet starts to obsess over getting to taste Beth's hair just to find out what it's like and why Beth is doing it.
Given how staid the pop music scene was after Elvis and before the Beatles, and how prevalent comedy albums were at this time, I totally see Harriet having stuff like Stan Freberg, Allan Sherman, Bob Newhart, the Smothers Brothers and Carl Reiner & Mel Brooks' 2000 Year Old Man in her collection
where did the draw-gays go, who let them escape?
i think you mean where'd all the fresh requests go
heres one:
harriet watching a TV show with a bowl of cereal on her lap
something like the man from UNCLE
anon think for a second
how are we gonna see the tv and the bowl of cereal at the same time
otherwise it's just a picture of harriet eating. which is cute and all, but
>how are we gonna see the tv and the bowl of cereal at the same time
the back of the TV
didnt actually want to see the program, thats just what i thought harriet would be into
thats just something kids used to do right? watch television in the morning
or would they be watching at night, since stuff like the flintstones were prime time?
hm well it might work with a word bubble relating what's going on
what cereal would harriet eat?
plain old corn flakes or chocolate frosted sugar bombs
we had a picture once with a bunch of 60s cereals
I feel like a girl who eats tomato sammiches every day would have Kellogg's OKs
Didn't she eat Cheerios in the show?
Think you're right.
Now I wanna see a cheerio slowly slide down her chest and stop at her erect nipple
And this is why we have drawthreads.
>implying they aren't just one long zombie que of spambots rotating their lists between Cinemaphile, /aco/, and Cinemaphile
Bruh
hi
firstly, never use that word again. it's 'brah' dammit.
secondly, what did you think anon meant? because anon meant "This (great request) is the reason we have drawthreads (so we can get great requests)"
he was not saying "we have drawthreads to keep people like you out of here"
neither interpretation makes sense with your reply anyway. I think you meant to describe the fact that a lot of the requests are supremely autistic, repetitive, irrelevant, and that's the case in drawthreads all the time too.
All forms are acceptable as

Breh

i miss how straightforward it was on photoshop
squeezed one in before commissions piled up
Cute comfortable Harriet there anon. Staying up late to watch some TV.
you know I had saturday morning in mind before recalling anon's suggestion of Man from UNCLE and now i'm realizing I have no idea what 60s tv scheduling was like.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1963%E2%80%9364_United_States_network_television_schedule_(daytime)#Saturday
I had a feeling you meant for a Saturday morning thing but the shadows on Harriet and the background made me think it was at night. Though I guess her eating cereal would make more sense with it being morning.
it's dark in the morning! in winter
some people eat their cereal at night
a maniac and menace like harrier might just do that
>Harrier hawk the spy
>SCREEEE!
hopefully no one draws that
It aired Monday night or Friday night.
Cute! And good luck with commissions
harriet quizzically cutting a piece of paper with some scissors while saying "whats the big deal with scissoring?"
that's prtycute
where would she have even heard about that?
probably heard it while spying on people
and no one wants the awkwardness of telling harriet what it means while also revealing they themselves know to everyone else
>cue her asking beth ellen if she wants to scissor
>who totally misunderstands the situation and accepts
>jumpcut to them making paper dolls and beth ellen being slightly disappointed
Probably over heard it from Rachel. Maybe Marion as well.
>not like i would ever try it with a loser like you, harriet
Marion going on and on about the possible lewd things she could do with Harriet every time she sees her, but always with her smugly saying she'd never try it with her? What a weird and lewd form of teasing bullying.
>while fooling around with harriet in the bed
>"this doesn't mean I love you or anything"
Need Marion smugly getting it on with Harriet while Harriet is left a blubbering mess not sure how to react.
imagine sport walks in on that
>morning after
>sunrise just barely illuminating the room
>marion snuggling up next to harriet
>harriet staring at the ceiling, still trying to comprehend what just happened
>somehow last night went from marion lording over her massive closet of designer clothing to whatever this was
I wish screencaps of this show were more accessible. I want to take a look at her living room layout, tv, etc
just use VLC to auto screencap everyepisode ebery 10 seconds
hehe
i might actually start taking screencaps as i rewatch
That's an option?
https://www.vlchelp.com/automated-screenshots-interval/
I've used this to get ref image sheets for anime
Interesting.
There is a site for just that.

>I want mine to be THIS big
Now that's the kind of thing I wanna draw.
What's keeping you?
Dunno.
Juan Terrible? That you?
No that wasn't me, this is me.
found the thread but gotta do some stuff today
all the same i do wanna draw something later today.
>i do wanna draw something later today
Now that's really nice. Looking forward to it!
Glad you're getting better.
>or next thread
I just hope next thread won't be that soon.
it really shouldn't, but I can understand continued harriet-related desires.
nice site,
thanks
takes too long, they got ai now, so it's pointless
I'm trying to find the character design turnaround for each of the characters. I've found the designs for props by one of the designers of the show, but have had 0 luck for the characters.
the hell why doesn't google image search have this
google is a shit search engine that only works with centralized web, it's weird that you're only discovering this now
google is an ad company, if that site was a commercial site it would be right up there below imbd
Google suck anon. And they keep making it worse. You aren't going to find anything of note on it anymore like that.
I did a thing.
pepsirriet
Harriet getting bullied was kino. If there was a whole show about an autistic girl who nobody likes dealing with life while also getting petty revenges and judging people I would watch 3 seasons of it
you are the worst and I wish you'd find a different fandom
you on the other hand I pity. having a cartoon fetish must be awful, you guys get treated like shit and you can't even help it.
if harriet keeps up this spy shit are people gonna start calling her a bawd because spies are all super loose especially in england
what if a harrier jump jet
anon I want to marry you
I need jump jet Beth and Marion so badly!
Uoh!
Fantastic. Exaclty what I was hoping for. Nice feet with and her hair slicked back and even a nicely detailed bathtub. You're really killing it with these Harriets there anon. You have a page or something?
>didnt get to see it
my spying skills were insufficient
https://a.uguu.se/DeGEBzyi.png
I think Harriet threads lack some Marion OC... Gotta fix that.
God bless you and the year of the rabbit
so very nice
fantastic!
This is beautiful, how do you get your brushstrokes to look so nice...
It explains enough, thank you for sharing!
must concur. as a chronic obsessive who can't help but use pure clean lines, this appeals to me the way sneaking a quiet swear excites a catholic schoolgirl
I truly wish we can got more smug Marion in bikini. Also fantastic job.
Look at those hussy pits
Killer hips, nice pits, and a smug expression that clearly shows she knows just how good of a show she's putting on. Spot on. Nice Marion there anon.
>Stupid sexy marion formed a gang of seduced boys to help her torment Harriet
>it was all just to get harriets attention
>because she was jealous of how beth ellen seemed to like harriet
>so now her plan is to cuck beth ellen
Lovely as always anon!
Hey that's kind of how I do it. Very time efficient.
>bush fetish
>on young girls
she's not old enough to have a pubes
True, but Ole Golly is old enough to have one >:)
we can age her up when she goes into her rebellious phase, it's fine!
grown up 70s versions of them are something we need more of, just in general
I agree
But only because I'm an insufferable bushgay
the 70s has a lot of fun shit in it for sure.
for now, wisps are lovely.
Would harriet experiment with LSD?
Or would the hippie life offend her?
she'd be fascinated by the whole thing
but everyone would think she's a cop and wouldn't let her in on it
frikken narc
Really great, I like the faucet details.
But...you left the cursor in the top right corner. Maybe repost it without?
Keep the thread alive, guys!
i love flustered harriet so much
Write racist slurs on Janey's locker.
How does this get deleted but not the picture of an actual little girl in a bathtub
>blighted thread
Hildaoverlapanons, tomato sandwiches or cucumber sandwiches?
tomato all the way. cucumbers give me the burps.
harriet's knees
I think Harriet is cute and I would marry her
sport discovered the internet
that would actually be really cute
a spiritual successor kinda show about a girl who's picked on but her friends get on this new internet thing and defend her, anonymously, until they all just conclude she is great
the episode where sport and harriet bind over stuffies was actually really cute
Do anons self0insert as sport, or as a nondescript ~25 year old "uncle"
Just as a period-appropriate version of myself that's between 1 and 4 years older than her. but yknow, when I was that age I was taller than her dad.
>dat collage guy with the used camero macking on the girl sin Jr.High
I've got some ideas to improve the show.
Uh, one, Harriet needs to be louder, angrier, and have access to a big fluffy golden retriever.
Two, whenever Harriet's not onscreen, all the other characters should be asking "Where's Harriet?"
Three-
keep thinking up art ideas, who knows what could hadplen
beth ellen getting groped from behind by harriet
Harriet with psychokinetic/telepathic/divination powers.
Harriet the scry
Harriet the psi
Harriet the psy
I dunno. Something like that
Beth Ellen getting a spa treatment, having a facial mask on while wearing a thick, plush robe
Rebel Beth is teasing sexally on the boy with the glasses since she wants him.
Harriet in a itsy, bitsy, teenie, weenie, yellow, polka dot bikini.
>sport compliments it for its low drag
>janie thinks its a stand out color
>marion just gives a "hmph", because its totally outshining her outfit
>beth ellen trying not to make it obvious she is eyeballing harriet hard and failing
good point, this GREEK polka dot bikini is no good. it's not even a song!
green
a greek one wouldn't exist at her age
hell i think even in america she wouldn't wear a top
>i think even in america she wouldn't wear a top
Perhaps. A real hippie would be topless, likely rolling about in the mud.
Sock it to me baby.
May I ask for a version without the body paint? And original size png, if not too much trouble?
Have this edit from a while back
Oh, I thought the image from above was new. I didn't know it was a repost. Very cute.
I'm no footgay, but she appears to be floating, not standing, planted on the ground.
yeah i'm not good at that stuff
it weirds me out how people seem to be at a totally flat angle when you're facing them, but if you turn your head down to see their feet, suddenly you can see the tops. i can't into perspective.
When she least suspects while diving in the pool. Then she's trapped, hahaha, can't leave the pool.
That would be a nice idea for a doodle if drawfren is still here
i have somehow injured my arm, by using it normally, so that's going to have to be a temporary no. i can put the .clip file on catbox or something
Sorry to hear anon, a drawgays arms are very important!
>i can put the .clip file on catbox or something
Thanks for offering but I dont have anything like that installed nor would I even know how to use it.
oh and I didn't forget abrat you
Nobodypaint is the beta version of Mario Paint before they told Intelligent Systems they should really add someone familiar
Not that anon but thanks for ths version!
in my head, she is modelling for chuck
Harriet A CUTE!!!!
Tyvm. Glad that your arm is better.
Something with Harriet watching Ed Sullivan. He was a big deal back in the day.
Wasn't Beetlemania 1964? Didn't the Stones also drop then?
the hag with a bag
Marion with thick ass is best Marion.
hehe posedoll fail
Marion threatens a trapped Harriet with a rubber chicken.
"We have ways of making you squawk"
or having her tied and tickling her.
oui oui
I'd love for any of the characters to be Dancing in the Streets 1964)(:
But in a way that makes them look like weirdos:
The homosex vibes in that David/Mick collab lmao-
She looks like some old fat b***h's OC. Pass.
>She looks like some old fat b***h's OC.
...I guess???
Why is she walking through "da hood," that's dangerous.
NYC was chock full of slums in the 60's. Well... it still is today but that's beside the point.
true, but there was no crack wars, and enough blacks knew their place
that's what Harriet is all about! she's gotta spy and learn the dangers
also I don't think it was that dangerous yet. like still dangerous, but i'd go there anyday over the current 'hood. after removing leaded gasoline, crime dropped everywhere except there.
God do i love old ink & pen art
it certainly has its charm
Agreed. I think it's more representative of that era than even the Modern/UPA stuff, which was more a holdover from the decade before.
Thanks for the pics anon!
So is harriets design based on the book?
she hews the closest yeah. everyone else changes a lot more.
Do we have more pics of book harriet?
it's actually hard to find anything but that (and the old movie) when you google it
We had a previous thread that had pictures from the original book.
I can post some of them up now.
I am so stupid. here are some Harriet pics.
cats could totally eat gurt though, the lactose has been broken down by the bacterial cultures
rambunctious lil scamp
oh no!
Harriet and her BIG is stuck!!
New pic? Good pic.
it's not, but thnaks
what happens next???
Janie tries to rescue her by pushing her thru but gets stuck herself.
Every fat b***h was a cute lovable girl once, anon.
>shirtless bull
She's a furry.
You know, this got me thinking.
Remember how Marion had claimed Harriet was purely motivated by revenge against her for not being friends anymore?
>"You may all think that Harriet M. Welsch just wants to make the play better, but the truth is, she just wants to get revenge on me."
>"That's not true."
>"Really? So, you're not still furious at me for not being your friend anymore?"
>"That was a long time ago."
It's pretty obvious that Marion's the one still bitter about their lost friendship (judging how she went above and beyond with trying to ruin Harriet's life before and after finding the notebook), but I kinda wish someone like Harriet pointed that out.
Harriet in a loose camisole!
These threads were fun but I think they have lost their steam. And our based artist CF is out for the count. Its orge.
You ran out of shit to talk about 2 months ago, and it's just a show specific drawthread.
And it's fine.
I'll draw some more after work today.
Do you have some in mind what to draw?
hit me
Not sure but I would like to see Marion as amazon with bikini armor.
Well, A Princess Of Mars came out many years before Harriet and the crew would be around. Maybe one of the girls dressed in only israeliteelry like Dejah Thoris from that series?
when will we just get actual porn instead of haha pictures
actual porn is gross and dull. laughter is the best viagra. Otherwise we wouldn't be in a discussion of a show about adolescent girls. We'd be on Cinemaphile discussing uh... Mall b***hes
>actual porn is gross and dull
what about chuck and harriet spooning, fully clothed
Sometimes less is more.
comfy
how would marion respond to one of her posse getting that close to her nemesis?
>Beth Ellen's mom gets one of those hippie psychology books about the therapeutic value of nudity
>BE shares it with Harriet, finding it calms her gremlinish tendencies
>They realize it would work great on making Marion less of a b***h
Sometimes more is more.
>harriet invited for a private shoot for the latest 60s fashion by chuck
>she brings beth ellen along as a gesture of goodwill
>they spend all day laughing and posing up a storm and wearing cute outfits
>beth ellen invites them back to her place for a private shoot
>they go along because they have zero idea what she means
>rest of the night is a blur, and the next thing they know they are waking up next to each other
that sounds lovely cozy. that's the kind of porn I like. better without clothes of course.
>better without clothes of course.
a compromise then
both of them in athletic wear and they cant help but notice how great the other looks in short shorts
I'm just glad I ran into Harriet threads, quite comfy and with some amazing drawanons. They were the main reason I even cared to check Cinemaphile.
I think we all need to rewatch the show more and do smart comments and point out shit we didn't notice
more henson comparisons perhaps?
just about to finish S1
been loving it so far, its been practically the opposite of what was expected
heard S2 has a big change up to status quo, but in a good way right?
good.. is relative. let's just say, it's the climax of the original book. and Harriet does not have an easy time in that story.
>filename
It's a shame the series ended up on Apple TV of all things. I don't think I know anyone who even uses Apple TV. I wasn't even really sure that was actually a service. Feels like it set the show to end up in obscurity. But at least there are these threads and fun Harriet posting to be had. It's cool to see the anons who swing by and draw up some Harriet and just join in on the fun posting.
it's more likely that Apple TV funded it partly or even entirely and would not exist w/o their streaming service
Loved your art bro so its nice to know you also have taste
>joever
>not lyndover
They should have made a Halloween episode that would have gotten theses threads more attention
That would have been cool. But don't they more or less follow the books? Unless there is a Halloween chapter I'm not sure they could have done that. Still fun to think about the different costumes they'd all wear though.
for the second time, i'm not an accursed they.
and i'm also not even the third best artist in here, so don't worry. the steam will flow without me while I rub blue emu oil into this fakakta elbow.
>and i'm also not even the third best artist in here
You have been cranking out the most content! And doing a goob job with it, imo.
Better take good care of it.
idk who CF is, but take care, artbro
if the show comes back, which it probably shouldn't, I'd like to see Harriet enjoying more Chinatown stuff. There's nothing as fun as mid 20th century culture-fascination.
opium den Harriet!
anyone else think opium dens are super cozy and it'd be nice to have that but without the opium
>anyone else think opium dens are super cozy
uh. no.
>without the opium
that is literally the only reason people would spend time there
looks like a cuddle party to me
also the ones i've seen were a lot more lavish. more cushions, nice little bunks.
>literally the only reason
obviously a joke, dude.
get that ghetto ass shit outta here, we here stay classy
That's a good attempt anon. Butt's a little flat but the rest of the anatomy looks solid to me.

thank you!
>want lewds of little girls
>but want ass and poubes
y'all need jesus
Hey now I’m the gay who asked for the bush and that ain’t me you’re replying to. All the times people have mentioned it in this thread thinking they’re replying to me, it’s been completely different people. It’s kinda funny really
Always good to see more anons giving it a shot. Nice Harriet there anon.
the 90s movie was only ok if you're a pedo who thinks 9 year old Michelle Trachtenberg was hot
she is up to no good
I hope he'll draw ryona with Harriet
her doing or getting done to?
I'm fine with either option
Somebody please give the link for season 2 LatAm Spanish dub
>Harriet, the anime
Harriet the '60s shoujo protagonist.
THEY DID THE THING
I would a Harriet the Spy anime
but for points it should be drawn in authentic 60s style.
oh frick, I have a great idea for this.
you guys are gonna laugh
Do it!
This thread is too young to die!!!
Its not dying it just has low blood sugar
arm status: able to pet cat, praise the lord
should be ready tomorrow or next thread
>Marion looking at you when she sees your fan arts of her
Would a girl her age really wear a hoodie, jeans and belt in 1964? Looks more like a 1980s outfit to me.
emphasis on 'her age'
kids were allowed to just kinda dick around in whatever, as long as they wore the expected formal shit for occasions.
She's not a girl, she's a kid.
Are you moronic?
Thanks for the well informed post.
>and having a clear political slant.
What does this have to do with /misc/ shit?
Magic skirts?
yeah even when janie does a handstand, the skirt ignores gravity entirely.
Bruh, even japs have stopped casual upskirts.
okay, you need to leave
if you have like an older brother or some other figure to set you straight, go have a real long, long talk. maybe get some autism therapy. either way, stay off of the internet
are you having a stoke old man?
This is typical middle class girl's fashion from 1964, but Harriet is intentionally a tomboy and would have worn active clothing, an aspect the show goes out to emphasize, it's a typical modern re-imagining of the past where out of context modern sensibilities are foisted onto a different world.
It's done to make the past more relatable (or comfortable) to modern viewers but at the cost actual history and fact modern creators don't want to address or care about. It's a mix of both being lazy and having a clear political slant.
keep in mind, they ARE in new york, and she has pretty chill, hands-off parents. it's not hard to find ads for jeans for little kids in the 60s, boys and girls, there's one cute one where they're eating watermelon together. the idea seems to be that this is a country way of dress, but still, hardly verboten
you're right that they didn't really commit but Apple obviously gave them a race quota and that shot their verisimilitude in the face, so we should just be glad the school uniform got to have skirts at all, even if they are magic skirts. that's more than any other cartoon today gets away with.
I'm not angry about it per say, I don't care much for the current culture wars either way, but there was no point in setting the story in the 60's if they weren't going to show the difference and the aspect of life that changed between then and now, 80 years, almost a century.
The (actual) boomer women who wanted their old books animated in their childhoods, but still wanted to be "progressive" etc...
post 32 images of girls in hoodies in 1964 or earlier
I mean she wore jeans and a hoodie in the original book, which was written at the time..
what's important is she's the only one who dresses that way, she's the weird kid.
>expecting a culture warrior to do their due diligence before getting mad about something
i'm not sure how you could be more offbase anon, but you are not welcome on my side of this argument. I would be much more comfortable if you would pick a different one.
I thought we was finna laugh at a schizo together
he's an autismo, let him be, this place is full of them and you gotta use the kid gloves.
actually you're not welcome on the 4chins at all. I wish they'd block mobile access.
Could you at least try the meds? Just to see if they do anything?
but I need my voices, they are my friends
>80 years
math is hard, so I'll let you off the hook.
It's neat thinking Harriet might have babysat my mom or dad. everyone has that one cool babysitter. only if she moves to california though.
I guess they wouldn't
>a little girl from the 60s wearing jeans and a hoodie is political
Would meds even work on you?
>also in chubby girls' sizes
Things used to be so much better
>give her black BFF a chink pug nose and disgusting ginger freckles
I hate shitlib c**ts so much, just like them to give their white self-inserts an ugly POC pal so they can both look non-racist and yet still mog them
This is one cool Marion cut in. Where's it from? There more?
>Where's it from?
Episode 2 of season 1
Wait, really? Man, it's been a while. Forgot about that. Looks like Harriet got one of those zoom ins as well. I have got to rewatch and finish this series.
Yeah, I gotta rewatch the series too. Maybe I'll come up with ideas for new drawings.
it's funny how weirdly charming old record albums feel. I don't think I ever had any, I had some records but they were all one song per disc
>nonce thread has /misc/ schizos
ikr?
give final request before thread dies of natural casues, having live an appropriate life
>give final request before thread dies of natural casues
adult cougar harriet in an 80s business skirt and shoulder pads
>requests adults in e-girl shows
Pube-gay, why must you spite the Gods so?
Fear you not divine punishment???
no this is fashion-gay who likes seeing harriet in funny clothes
I made the same request twice this thread. I'll save it for next thread until fusion either does it or tells me to frick off.
How it ends, whether Harriet accepts the offer or not, is up for debate.
very lovely
only way for it to be better if it somehow ends up like
>the gay
>the other gay
you go to hell right now
the duck is kgb
Trained by the real spies.
how do you think he got that scar on his face? he's a tough guy
In a way, she loses the one thing she could depend on, and she slips further into depression and madness.
>the mega got taken down before i could get s2
The mega got hit? Damn it. There goes another one. Really bad since this show is more or less done already. I hope someone can set up another one eventually.
Harrietbros...
It's a real pain that. Who knows when or if the next Mega may come around. Here's hoping the anon who made it is still around and can make another one day.
I cannot help but wonder what she would think of us
>"There's a bunch of people on this place on the internet that are talking about me and my friends. It feels weird that they have this unrestricted access to my entire life, like I'm on TV or something. Is this how everyone feels whenever I spy on them? Need to look into this."
Probably think we're brainwashed or zombified or something like that. Sitting at a computer all day, not even watching TV or reading anything of note, just reading and typing short messages to some "Anonymous" guy.
it's just like ham radio fans! Pinky's one of those
OMG how are yo still alive???
Good thread, fellas. Cya in the next one.
a fine time was had by all
Good thread.
