Too big of the gap between movies. Lost all relevance. At least Eva Green's tits were astonishing, other then that it was shit. 2 out of 3 stories were originals, right? And it shows, one was boring and another was downright fanfiction.
On an unrelated note, why is Sin City, the first one is so rarely discussed in here? I've been here for almost eight years and I never saw a thread about it. Kinda piculiar, considering that all sorts of movies are talked about here.
>2 out of 3 stories were originals, right? And it shows
Pretty much this, the "Dame to Kill For" section was the only good part, and the new stories were like a parody of Sin City (which itself is mostly tongue-in-cheek). Plus, Jessica Alba is a terrible actress, only good-looking, so having her as the lead of her sequel story was doomed from the start.
It really was that bad, the stories were all shit, rork's son was cool tho action and dialogue couldn't match the original's style, new actors all sucked except green of course, even new Miho was somehow worse than in the first movie and all you need to play her is to be asian and look cool, that's all.
Didn't he say that he had a plastic surgery before the start of his story?
The original plan was to have Josh Brolin play the guy before he gets all messed up and gets the surgery, afterwards he's Clive Owen, but Clive was busy or whatever, and they didn't want to wait so they just put some weird prosthetics on Josh Brolin and called it a day.
It was fucking terrible >Hartigan sees no other way out except killing himself to square it off with Rourke to keep him off Nancy because he's just that damn powerful you can't just walk into his house and shoot him >Johnny basically gives his life away just to prove Rourke can be hurt >Nancy and Marv just walk in and shoot up Rourke and fuck off
Literal clown shit
The only good part about the first one was mickey rourke's bit honestly. Clive Owen's was cringelord, girl boss crap. I guess the whole movie is girl boss crap but the marv character was interesting at least.
Why do the Old Town hookers even suck and fuck dudes for money? They're killing machines. Racketeer. Make some real dough. In no world are you letting the ninja bang dudes for a living when she could be assassinating.
It was alright. When it came out everyone said it's trash so I ignored it for a long time, then after many years watched it with the expectation that it's pure trash, but then it turned out to be just more Sin City. I liked that poker guy story at least. I don't remember much else.
Poker guy was easily the best story. Eva Green's story wasnt bad either. I think people are mostly down about the final act, which is fair, and otherwise upset because it never had a chance of living up to the original.
Johnny's story was easily the most Frank Miller story Frank Miller has written in years. So referring back to my post

I have no fucking clue how him and Rodriguez could've possibly conceived Nancy Last Dance within the same movie.
Roarke is literally evil, you can't just shoot it and be done with it. Imagine if Nancy had a bad dream about Roarke earlier, then Johnny wouldn't have had to die I guess just to win once against his father
it was all style and no substance. Poz killed it.

Which stories are original? If I had to guess the Jessica Alba one feels more organic as a follow up of the previous one.
I recently started watching penny dreadful and I must say whilst the subject matter and writing is ridiculous I just enjoy seeing her

And even Dame was chopped to shit because most of Dwight's story already got done in the first.
when the fuck did they make a sequel? wtf
2014, I think
It's way worse than original.
>It's way worse than original.
the original is kino you retard, literally the pages of the comic put on screen.
What are you rumbling about? The original was kino, the sequel was not.
yeah but i got dubs so that's all that matters. glad we agree.
>he was rumbling again like he had a loose gasket. Well I was about to close that gasket... permanently
How the fuck is Mickey Rourke in it? He died in the first one. 0/10 - will never watch.
bruce willis is a ghost who watches himself get cucked
I know, right? Movie has an original story written specially for it and this story fucks up the continuity big time.
Even the first was told not chronologically. Rourke died in his segment but then was alive in the Bruce Willis one.
everyone is alive again even the yellow head guy
Not as bad as its reputation, but still really dang bad.

>Eva Green was in the sequels of Sin City and 300 and has great nude scenes in both
Praise her tits.
Yes. In fact it was worse than you remember
I watched it and I still have no idea what I watched. All I remember is some dude fucking Eva Green.
Wasn't it Ray Liotta
I got really confused because they recasted that guy that helped the prostitutes from the first movie, don't remember anything from this movie
Didn't he say that he had a plastic surgery before the start of his story?
that confused me even more t b h

I enjoyed it a lot, though I preferred the first, and
This is a very good point
>edgy anime facecuts
yeah, it fucking sucked
>no Shellie
it was doomed from the start.
rip

That's a mighty fine post you're making

>They're killing machines
most of them aren't
>letting
You stopping her?
i dont remember if robert let frank do more shit in this one or it was the other stinker with scarjo but it sucked ass

Was this better or worse than Sin City 2 or 300-2?
