it’s just the systematic brainwashing of a typical libtarded peon
liberal people are ants intellectually
High schoolers these days are just more fricked up because of the shit in food and water. They're all fatter and don't have the edges that teens in the 50's did
Honestly people looked older back then because they all smoke and drank and did drugs when they were 13.
Then there was a generation or two that cared about their health but now it’s gone full circle and you have millennials/zoomers drinking, vaping, and taking prescription drugs all at once while staying up for days at a time.
It's most you find that people look older due to their fashion and hair style, when studies were done people only actually look about 5 years younger when you find people wearing the same clothes and hair.
The one wearing glasses legit could pass as a teacher. I hate high school scenes because I know I'll be seeing a person in their 30s playing a student.
I remember that scene in the 90s Ocean Eleven remake where Julia Roberts is coming down the stairs and she is supposed to be some sexpot. Even as a kid in puberity I didn't get why she was supposed to be so hot.
yeah that one's another good example, some completely average looking woman who has two handsome men fighting over her, one of them a wealthy casino owner, the other a bad boy israeliteel thief.
you would be forgiven for thinking a woman must have written this one.
>i need to go to the washroom >well then just go >but, where is the boy's washroom? >obviously we don't have one since it's a girls school >but >shut the frick up and just hold it
This show is based. I wish it had a few more episodes in each season.
Aren't they able to write it off if they're no longer utilizing it or something?
That other show or movie did the same thing, though it never made it to release
Tax write-off laws in the US mandate this. Personally I think they should be instantly tossed into public domain instead of locked away, but that is not how the laws work.
Aren't they able to write it off if they're no longer utilizing it or something?
That other show or movie did the same thing, though it never made it to release
Warners was only able to do that because of how laws work in regards to mergers, generally studios cannot just take random shows off their service and use it as a tax write off, why dont you people ever google anything, do you enjoy being stupid?
>generally studios cannot just take random shows off their service and use it as a tax write off,
Of course they can. It's called writing down or in extreme cases writing off an asset. Happens every day at different companies for different types of assets.
The difference in a merger, is that an acquiring company can write down an asset more quickly than they can normally.
That’s a really good idea. It would elevate the quality of content released as well because the escape clause wouldn’t exist in its current form and their failures would be publicly accessible.
But shows aren't on the air anymore.
The electromagnetic spectrum was bandwidth limited and a one way street. With streaming the show sits until being requested not using any extra resources. It makes no sense to remove shows in this context.
this will become increasingly necessary in the future.
society simply cannot remember EVERYTHING that happened and hope to have a sense of culture.
Our collective consciousness needs to be curated so we remember the things that actually matter.
It's pretty clear from Ghost Babel that Fukushima was the one who made snappy dialogue and tight military thriller plots. He was important, but Kojima still brought his necessary weirdness.
>Kojimbo is a hack.
Didn't he order a site directly to take down an article interviewing one of his writers? I know the writer said his work is fan fiction at best.
>With streaming the show sits until being requested not using any extra resources. It makes no sense to remove shows in this context.
yes it does because the show still cost them money from residuals and other shit. There can be agreements like Paramount paying monthly royalties to the guy who wrote the theme song and shit like that. If nobody is watching the show Paramount is metaphorically just throwing money into a hole every month.
The way residuals currently work on streaming platforms is the payments are calculated based on the number of subscribers the service has, not how many people actually watch a particular show. So whether a show is a big hit that everyone's watching or a massive bomb that nobody's watching the residual payouts are the same.
the typical "im so above this" homosexual response on Cinemaphile. homie youre the third reply in this thread.
Boomers should know by now no one cares about your cultural heritage. Your lasted longer than normal beucase you were bigger then the previous and next generation so when anything went to market, your demo sold harder, so you got deluded into thinking everyone like it
We don’t.
what the frick are you talking about
>1950s America >school is extremely ethnically diverse with no racism ever experienced
Every single time.
>1950s america >everyone constantly breaking out into song >large choreographed dance routines organized by the students and done in public places
wow just like the 50s!
>Make a Pink Ladies show >The most tolerable part of it are the T-Birds
Loving every laugh.
every year i have to update my "this is the worst thing ive ever seen" list. holy frick this is so terrible. it sounds like someone just found a bunch of high school musical rejected songs and put a Grease aesthetic on them.
Are the women in that pic supposed to be high schoolers? Hollywood has always cast older people as teenagers but jesus christ. They look 30+ especially the latina, she looks like she's 40.
they dont want to hire actual teenagers because 1. americucks whine about it nonstop 2. they're a pain to work with and 3. you have more freedom of time/with the scenes you can film by hiring an adult actor
So, this is the platforms fault for keeping shitty series going despite them not getting views. Now the subscribers to these platforms expect all shows to just stay until completion.
I think these companies are losing money and the shareholders and other people that fund it are now taking notice and that's when budget cuts happen. Other wise the execs don't care and let garbage project be greenlit and continue for as long as they want.
Streaming platforms were (in theory) supposed to be different. Netflix has tons of cancelled Netflix exclusives that they still have available to stream on the platform
But shows aren't on the air anymore.
The electromagnetic spectrum was bandwidth limited and a one way street. With streaming the show sits until being requested not using any extra resources. It makes no sense to remove shows in this context.
yeah that tweet is definitely a zoomer tier opinion.
90% of all media was shit which never went into syndication
Back in the day a show would get cancelled and then never shown on reruns. Basically the same thing.
what a whiner. when a show bombs you take it off the air, nothing new about that.
what's more pathetic is that OP has a twitter account.
At least there was a short time when networks rereleased old shows on tapes and dvds. For a while even niche stuff got official releases for fans and the studios made something from it without burning fans.
Streaming was advertized to us as a new better thing from old broadcast tv. Turns out it is worse, especially with this write off loop hole.
Why invest in a show if they can cancel it and also wipe it from existance? They are pretty much encouraging people to pirate media they like at this point because you never know when that show you like is getting deleted off the servers.
Back, back in the day, studios would send out pilots of shows on vhs to random people and ask for their feedback. The tapes would erase as you watched them. That way, if the show never became anything, there would be no evidence of its existence.
This, they'd also execute the people who watched them after getting the feedback and cover up the assassinations to truly wipe any existence of the pilot entirely.
Literally 95% of every show that's ever aired was cancelled and memory holed having aired less than 4 episodes. It's not some conspiracy theory it's simple economics.
The fact so many make it to production stage is baffling though.
>The fact so many make it to production stage is baffling though.
the production staff and such have a union so they have to be paid for a certain amount of work irregardless.
so they put them on bs nonsense shows to fill the quota coz they need to be kept on they can't just hire seasonal workers from fiverr.
it's why these shows don't ever degrade in quality on camera/audio/other production stuff.
Boomers should know by now no one cares about your cultural heritage. Your lasted longer than normal beucase you were bigger then the previous and next generation so when anything went to market, your demo sold harder, so you got deluded into thinking everyone like it
We don’t.
Also america isn’t majority white or Christian anymore so why would foreigners and homosexuals care about some shit like George Washington or Welcome Back Kotter
>We don’t.
You don't like yourself and millennial/zoomers have produced practically nothing that's worthy: it's either attempts to rehash older brands/characters or pathetic forgettable bs that gets memoryholed in a matter of months.
dude no one is making this slop FOR boomers to watch. This stuff exists purely to give homosexual theatre kids something to work on and they all love these musicals because they're gay. Boomers have no idea that the corpse of whatever they liked as teens is still being raped by talentless hacks
The show was literally made for shippers on twitter to glob onto. Nobody other than twitter shippers and unpicky theatre kids are going to tolerate this.
If they keep it on their platform, they have to pay out residuals. Since streaming services don't want to release viewership numbers, every series gets a cut based on the subscription numbers rather than if anyone actually watched their show.
So rather than pay out this communism-inspired amount, they just purge it from the service and pay nothing.
>they keep it on their platform, they have to pay out residuals. Since streaming services don't want to release viewership numbers, every series gets a cut based on the subscription numbers rather than if anyone actually watched their show.
This can’t be union legal
This is actually a change the writers strike want: have series get residuals based on viewership. I'm surprised that they are angling for this, considering most of the shows are trash.
>I'm surprised that they are angling for this, considering most of the shows are trash.
They're angling for that in addition to the subscriber numbers residuals, not instead of.
I watched the first episode. It was meh, it lacked the energy of the movie and the songs were boring aside from the one they cribbed from the original.
For some reason, they act like a Latina woman with a cube-like head is the hottest fricking thing alive. It was baffling. The most attractive woman was a young, white blonde. She was the b***hy enemy of the story. It's one of those shows you already know what's going to happen.
>7,000,000 views >4,000 likes
Holy shit. Someone involved really pissed off some musical theater geeks or something. >info >Not available on Paramount+
SAVAGE!
>wears buddy's jacket implying they're in a romantic relationship >buddy is twice her size >in the next scene with no time skips jacket is tailored to her body
wtf is going on at paramount
>rewriting 1960s america into a diverse, degenerate, immigrant-filled, girlbossy judeo-liberal marxist utopia (hellscape)
I wonder why nobody wanted to watch it?
I saw an advertisement on TV of the whole video in
I watched the first episode. It was meh, it lacked the energy of the movie and the songs were boring aside from the one they cribbed from the original.
What is the appeal of this? It's kind of like the CW replacing the supernatural time slot with the dike batwoman show and expecting it to hit the same numbers. Women watched that show because of the hot guys, they don't want to see some angry lesbian. Here I'm assuming these were all gay women and the guys were moronic, it's literally made for no one.
>What is the appeal of this?
I think its pretty obvious that there was no appeal to it. its the same with the puppetry talk show D+ made a few years ago. yeah talk shows have appearl, puppet shows have appeal but the final product didn't really make sense, especially as a streaming show.
they're going too far with rewriting history to destroy white christian america, in the way they're also destroying the struggle of minorities and feminism throughout the 20th century >what do you mean they used to beat women back then??? this show told me they respected womyn!!!!11
it's really funny to me, clown world
>1960s
I thought it was prequel to Grease, which is the 1950's >non binary
Ignore that legitimacy of that, why join a group with "ladies" in the name if you aren't a lady.
Propaganda reinforcement is like that, you need a constant influx of agenda driven products to infect the mind. If one of those fails, you just remove it and replace it with a new one.
>Whoa! We got this ENTIRE thing completely fricked up! Let's delete this bullshit so no one associates it with Grease and there's no record of us completely missing the fricking mark when it comes to marketing this
That's the way I see it. You frick up that bad? Delete it. Start over.
Never saw the show, never will, will never care. But it really sucks for the actors and people that spend a lot of time making this show that a company decided no one gets to see it anymore. Imagine you and a bunch of coworkers spending months making something for work, you get done and your boss says "Yeah we're not happy with how it turned out so we're going to incinerate it." Good product or not, you'd have to be gutted.
>I bet you can't tell which one without looking it up :^)
This reminds of those "your dick can't tell the difference" furry, and mlp images from a decade ago.
Ok so it's a rip off of Beauty School Drop Out without the charm?
And you'll probably say >well it's not a rip off if it takes place in the same universe
But that's the thing. These people were so hung up to make a prequel and all they really wanted to do was remake Grease with a bunch of trannies and queergays. It's a rip off of the most egregious kind.
Btw I ain't gay. I just have a mom who is really into Grease when I was growing up. I even bought here a Pink Lady Jacket.
Jews do this so you literally won't be able to use it as an example of how these gay ass brown people reboots always fail. They'll do another one of these with like Three's Company or some shit where the John Ritter character is black now and one of the girls is a troony and most people will be like >this is just like last time, when they ... wait, what did they do again? huh, well whatever
and that's how the israelites win, when people don't pay enough attention.
Don't let them off the hook with this shit, never forget that whatever the frick this shit was flopped harder than Grease 2 and don't let them frick over Three's Company
They've gone on record announcing(and shooting) a Night Court reboot, but you didn't know about that until now. It's almost like they're not operating in logical or effective ways. Maybe there's a reason for that.
even film and tv has "bubbled" coz of all the streaming networks playing hot potato with shows and disappearing them.
for eg i'm watching pic related show and never seen it referenced here in a post-i guess coz apple tv doesn't pay for marketing on social media.
the manga is honestly really bad at pacing AND 2 asiatics really in love with french culture wouldn't hold anyone's interest so i'm fine with that.
the gal still gets btfo in all aspects of wine tasting.
Why would having two Japanese protagonists in Europe not work? Why even have one? Why not whitewash it entirely? Outlets like Netflix and Apple whine about diversity and casting minorities yet turn around and still whitewash shit. Here they do it for a token female lead.
>bad at pacing
Well, for a tv show, yes. I guess it fits the pacing for a long running serialized book series. Kinda likr when movies try to adapt a long novel or series of novels into one or two films.
Watched this shit when I heard they were removing it. Just once, I'd like a film in the last decade to have a girl that looks like a boy not be a lesbian. It feels like fricking eons since then. When did stereotypes, like, "She plays sports, of COURSE she's a lesbian!", become the literal norm, instead of stereotypes in media.
I watched about half, and my wife watched the remainder and filled me in. Here's the main things I remember that could be seen that way: >A They/Them wants to be one of the greasers, but they say no, because she's a woman. She randomly has a lesbian kiss scene, and it's not earned at all. There's one scene though, where she corners a closeted gay guy and attempts to frick him. When he says no, she yells that if he were a real man, he'd like it. The man then runs away, about to cry. Unintentionally funny. >Showed adult women all taking pills and hating life being stay at home moms. Tired trope, at this point. >Races are all mixed together, and nobody cares. Then, there's an episode where they bring up segregation being real, and bad. Then it doesn't matter again lmao
reminds me of the weeds tv show. one of the seasons "big bad guy" was a black gangster called U-turn, and he was forcing nancy to do his dirty work and taking their grow house operation over or something. U-turn discovers one of nancys employees was gay, and decides hes gonna get someone to frick the gay out of him...u-turns own girlfriend, who doesnt even hesitate and goes straight for the gay guy and even says it herself "im gonna frick the gay outta ya!".
like 4-5 seasons later, the gay guy was happily married to her
I'm not even a bugchaser, but what's with western media and ONLY showcasing Asian women with lumpy fricking potato heads? That chick is Mario 64 loading screen meets Oblivion character creator
A lot of people forget that mass media is produced on finance, and that we're no longer living in the age of zero interest funny money. If something is projected to lose money, it gets pulled and written as a tax write off now instantly, because they can't afford to haemorrhage money like they used to, especially if you're paying 20% rates today, unlike 2% just a couple years ago.
There was a scene in this where the latina is caught fricking a racist bully who called the asian a "foreign b***h", the asian feels betrayed and runs out but when they meet up again she reveals to the latina that she's actually just jealous because he's been her crush since middle school.
Not joking.
>"Grease" is very clearly set in 1960 >There are many, many reminders of this throughout the film >morons still think it takes place in the 50's
media literacy, anyone?
Not a troony in the sense that she feels dysphoria or underwent a transition, but definitely a troony in the sense that she's a narcissist engaging in attention-seeking behavior to escape from brutal reality. >inb4 she
Born female. Deluded herself into thinking she wasn't a man or woman, but something unique and special. In other words, she's a woman.
Probably the same reason Grease got a sequel and cartoon. Just trying to cash in on something they didn't fully understand.
However looking at them... they might actually like Grease but being Millennials they had to pozz it up to sell it. Meanwhile my Zoomer ass appreciates the Americana and late 50's era and wouldn't dare frick with it like this.
Shows so bad they get removed from streaming is why the writers strike is happening. Streaming services have to pay to keep these terrible shows on their platform, but no one is watching them. Writers don't care that no one watches it and still want to get paid.
I wonder if this happened because they fired real writers. That would explain so much. Nothing's written by writers anymore. They're all mongoloids with keyboards. The same fanfiction writers from tumblr in 2010, y'know?
Wait. If this is the 50's... shouldn't this man in a dress be sent to a sanitarium? And electro shocked until he's cured? And so should the gays for that matter. Also why is the school integrated with blacks and mexicans? Ruby Bridges didn't get to go to an integrated school until the mid 60's. Bro what the frick? I'm not even white. But I can see why this shit failed. They don't respect Grease at all.
The troony is implied to be a dream/figment of frumpy asian's imagination. >fever dream visual effects >giant spools and needles representing her dreams of fashion design >"that's quite a proclamation for someone who don't exist"
I don't know what that is. It's a musical number about a girl's fear of following her dream of becoming a fashion designer, where a troony representing the concept of bold fashion tells her she won't make it if she abandons her friends and goes on her own.
Wait. If this is the 50's... shouldn't this man in a dress be sent to a sanitarium? And electro shocked until he's cured? And so should the gays for that matter. Yes. It wasn't Grease. It as a bastardized racially-appropriated copy of Grease. It's what you get when people do't know how to create anything original, so they steal and replace.
I didn't even know it was released. Hopefully this trend continues and the infinite streaming services with their infinite original slop fests are significantly drawn down.
Between streaming services cutting their budgets significantly and dozens of blockbuster flops in the last 3 years I think we could be heading into an industry crash. God, one could fricking hope. It'd be good if people decide to make movies that are good again afterwards.
>NO YOU MUST ALLOWED A FAILED PROJECT TO TAKE UP SPACE UNFINISHED AND AWFUL FOR PRESERVATION
These homies would have never survived back when a show had one episode air and the rest full produced never be seen at all.
> In June 2023, the series was canceled after one season, and has been permanently removed from Paramount+ due to a tax writeoff made on the show
What does that even mean? They wrote this show to get tax credits and then canceled?
>What does that even mean? They wrote this show to get tax credits and then canceled?
Naaaaw. No way Hollywood would purposefully make something bad because they could make more money due to a flop than a success due to accounting scams.
>need to make shows for streaming so people will subscribe >finding investors for a show is hard because the entire pre-production/filming/post-production period is a black hole that returns 0 profits, so it might be over a year before you get one cent back >tax deductions and credits are provided by the government to defer the burden until after the show is released and making money >post-release, you have to start paying taxes on the profits AND the estimated value of owning the rights to the show >if your show is a success, no one cares, you're printing money with this show for decades and it pays for itself >if your show is a failure, no one cares, you still made a little money off of it because some small number of people are watching it and the estimated value for a flop is lower (so there's less tax burden to keep the rights)
What happened here is the most extreme form of the second case: it was such a big failure that the accountants determined "burn all copies and make 0 profit and pay 0 tax because burning it made it a total loss" is better than "keep it online and make $1 profit and pay more than that in property taxes on the rights to this bullshit show no one is watching".
tl;dr they don't write these shows to pull of a tax scam and profit, but destroying the show is a failsafe in the tax code that lets them make bad shows at no risk
I FRICKING hate this zoomer mentality that EVERYTHING should be recorded and saved forever and ever
This people are so afraid of death or something that they need every single waking moment of their lives to be on record somewere
Who the frick wanted another grease anything in 2023?
God damn boomers are like a king that refuses to give up power to his sons. He is old, senile, clearly can't lead for shit and thinks things he did 50 years ago still work now.
>"Frick no one is watching our shit, reboot the Wizard of Oz again just make Dorothy black and the other characters all woman this is what the young gen wants right?"
This is sadly not the first remake or sequel. This is yet another well they keep going back to for some fricking bizarre reason. I remember that time they tried to make it into an edgy scifi show
Things are not going to get better till boomers die. It's literally that simple. A boomer old woman wished death threats on me in Facebook when I suggested her small knitting store from her home town that was there since she was a kid went out of business because habits and preferences changed and she went on a rant that it's my gen's fault that things are changing that towns and tv are different now. Boomers legit can't handle a society not catering to them. So we get shit like a Grease remake or a Wizard of Oz remake as other anons said.
This could have been a good show if it wasn't about fighting racial oppression and women's equality. In Grease the girl gang were just bawds that sang about boys.
Are the women in that pic supposed to be high schoolers? Hollywood has always cast older people as teenagers but jesus christ. They look 30+ especially the latina, she looks like she's 40.

who controls that? AI? who programs it?
>Our collective consciousness needs to be curated
oy vey
I, for one, welcome our new AI overlords
>With streaming the show sits until being requested not using any extra resources. It makes no sense to remove shows in this context.
yes it does because the show still cost them money from residuals and other shit. There can be agreements like Paramount paying monthly royalties to the guy who wrote the theme song and shit like that. If nobody is watching the show Paramount is metaphorically just throwing money into a hole every month.
The way residuals currently work on streaming platforms is the payments are calculated based on the number of subscribers the service has, not how many people actually watch a particular show. So whether a show is a big hit that everyone's watching or a massive bomb that nobody's watching the residual payouts are the same.
now you get why israelites are trying to fight "piracy" so much
when they get to choose what you can and cant watch they will be able to control the future, the present and the past
i only see you whining
the typical "im so above this" homosexual response on Cinemaphile. homie youre the third reply in this thread.
what the frick are you talking about
>1950s america
>everyone constantly breaking out into song
>large choreographed dance routines organized by the students and done in public places
wow just like the 50s!
every year i have to update my "this is the worst thing ive ever seen" list. holy frick this is so terrible. it sounds like someone just found a bunch of high school musical rejected songs and put a Grease aesthetic on them.
they dont want to hire actual teenagers because 1. americucks whine about it nonstop 2. they're a pain to work with and 3. you have more freedom of time/with the scenes you can film by hiring an adult actor
Back in the day a show would get cancelled and then never shown on reruns. Basically the same thing.
yeah that tweet is definitely a zoomer tier opinion.
90% of all media was shit which never went into syndication
syndication isn't the same as streaming
nice boomer understanding of the internets
Streaming platforms were (in theory) supposed to be different. Netflix has tons of cancelled Netflix exclusives that they still have available to stream on the platform
they are giving up the rights to arrested development actually
Source?
>Basically the same thing.
>HEY GUIZE BROADCAST AND STREAMING ARE DA SAAAAMME!!!!!
You're right, they're not the same because these streaming shows are still available thanks to piracy while cancelled network shows are lost to time.
Literally 95% of every show that's ever aired was cancelled and memory holed having aired less than 4 episodes. It's not some conspiracy theory it's simple economics.
The fact so many make it to production stage is baffling though.
>The fact so many make it to production stage is baffling though.
the production staff and such have a union so they have to be paid for a certain amount of work irregardless.
so they put them on bs nonsense shows to fill the quota coz they need to be kept on they can't just hire seasonal workers from fiverr.
it's why these shows don't ever degrade in quality on camera/audio/other production stuff.
>murder everyone involved with the show
>deny it ever existed
A bit extreme …but fair
heh
This show never existed, nor was it canceled and taken off the platform.
But if it did, it would deserve it.
Why are you seething about boomers out of nowhere, zoomie?
>We don’t.
You don't like yourself and millennial/zoomers have produced practically nothing that's worthy: it's either attempts to rehash older brands/characters or pathetic forgettable bs that gets memoryholed in a matter of months.
didn’t read
you and your entire generation are going to die being robbed and you’re going to hell
dude no one is making this slop FOR boomers to watch.
LOL yeah everyone just loves your low end Black persontier shit.
That would actually be cool if streaming stats became publicly accessible so we could see what was bombing the hardest
Unfortunately I'm guessing if they do agree to it they'll keep it secret between the guild and the company
>I'm surprised that they are angling for this, considering most of the shows are trash.
They're angling for that in addition to the subscriber numbers residuals, not instead of.
> No, I will not provide any proof of this, because it doesn't actually happen and I would be publicly humiliated.
Did anyone on this website watch or even know this existed? Be honest.
I watched the first episode. It was meh, it lacked the energy of the movie and the songs were boring aside from the one they cribbed from the original.
jesus christ, what the frick were they thinking?
>let's cast only ugly people to our show
For some reason, they act like a Latina woman with a cube-like head is the hottest fricking thing alive. It was baffling. The most attractive woman was a young, white blonde. She was the b***hy enemy of the story. It's one of those shows you already know what's going to happen.
>all the cat lady roastie comments
Lmfao. No wonder it bombed.
>80% dislikes

>rewriting 1960s america into a diverse, degenerate, immigrant-filled, girlbossy judeo-liberal marxist utopia (hellscape)
I wonder why nobody wanted to watch it?
Yes, because they take their pants off in one scene.
Spoilers: the latina has the best fatty.
never happened and you can't prove it did.
I knew it existed and I unironically enjoy the musical Grease. But I wasn't interested in this because diversity
No
I don’t even know what it is. Pink jacket ladies? They’re superheroes? Idgi. Who cares.
i worked on it, sadly
I watched them show their asses.
I saw an advertisement on TV of the whole video in
>Did anyone on this website watch or even know this existed? Be honest.
I recall hearing of its existence.
Never watched it or looked it up.
For female “Gearheads” there was a show that lasted 8 episodes called ‘Reprisal’, that starred Abigail Spencer.
WILLOWED
>remove trash show no one watched from your streaming service
>WHOA THAT'S CRAZY THEY DID THAT
not that crazy
>1950s America
>school is extremely ethnically diverse with no racism ever experienced
Every single time.
>Pink Ladies
How prophetic.
In fairness Grease wasn't exactly grounded in the reality of 1950s America either.
But they did have flying cars
>NOOOOO THEY DIDNT TACKLE SOCIAL ISSUES LIKE ROICISM IN MY GOYSLOP
Good thing piracy still exists and the show can still be watched by the 12 people that liked it
Too bad the type of people that would enjoy this show are the type that have no idea how to use a computer.
People who grew up with Grease don't know how to get Paramount+ and younger girls who like Grease don't own and don't want to own Paramount+.
every comment from an older person on yt video is how their younger "daughter" convinced them to watch it
Deserved. Gross propaganda. If only we could delete 2012-2023.
oh zamn my 2011 baby girl Aubrey Plaza was in a new telenovela streaming kino?? why did no one hecking tell me!!!!!!!
GET BROKE HAHAHHA
It doesn't matter if it was good or bad; it matters if people watched it and how much it cost to make.
I think its pretty obvious that there was no appeal to it. its the same with the puppetry talk show D+ made a few years ago. yeah talk shows have appearl, puppet shows have appeal but the final product didn't really make sense, especially as a streaming show.
looks like Moya from Farscape
>pic
I don't remember this episode of Farscape
>a 1960s school where the tough gang of females have a non binary member and an asian
yes
they're going too far with rewriting history to destroy white christian america, in the way they're also destroying the struggle of minorities and feminism throughout the 20th century
>what do you mean they used to beat women back then??? this show told me they respected womyn!!!!11
it's really funny to me, clown world
I thought the "greasers" subculture in the 50s was mostly an italian american thing
>destroying the struggle of minorities and feminism throughout the 20th century
"Struggle" lmao
>1960s
I thought it was prequel to Grease, which is the 1950's
>non binary
Ignore that legitimacy of that, why join a group with "ladies" in the name if you aren't a lady.
Not even true today even in California.
>from existence
how moronic are women?
Yes
>grease but with average to below average women
very bold, brave even
>"Lady" second from the left is a literal troony
>This is supposed to be 1950s America
>people wonder why it's cancelled
I'd grease the one on the right
Multiracial cast of homely women who look like mothers (2,3 L to R) or at least older sisters (1,4) of actual highschoolers
Delete it. Start over.
They really thought this would work, huh?
It's so funny how the media has to pretend "being androgynous" is some sort of brave thing when this shit was already exhausted 30+ years ago
>androgynous
>implying anyone can actually be androgynous
kek
saying someone is androgynous is just code speak for ugly as woman and ugly as man
Speaking of….
You've never look at a fat human where you weren't sure whether it was a butch lesbian or a dude without any muscles?
Non-binary identity is the cure for excruciating mediocrity. This trend dies this year.
i would.
I genuinely know absolutely nothing about this except the picture in the OP and I can already tell that it's literally troony shit.
Never saw the show, never will, will never care. But it really sucks for the actors and people that spend a lot of time making this show that a company decided no one gets to see it anymore. Imagine you and a bunch of coworkers spending months making something for work, you get done and your boss says "Yeah we're not happy with how it turned out so we're going to incinerate it." Good product or not, you'd have to be gutted.
and that makes it even better
>Willow 2
Love these immediate BTFO of woke culture
You know how the Left can't survive without censorship? And how they eat their own? I present to you:
>"Grease: Pink Ladies"
poast the mooning scene
it was fine
Isn't one of those a troony ass.
I bet you can't tell which one without looking it up :^)
>I bet you can't tell which one without looking it up :^)
This reminds of those "your dick can't tell the difference" furry, and mlp images from a decade ago.
God, I remember those, but hard to believe that shit was a decade ago.
Far right lmfao
can't do feminisation surgery on cankles
Where's the commitment? Show everything or dont do it.
Literally a half-assed attempt
So fricking brave.
This is also a rip off from the Grease Movie. During the school dance the greaser boys make a plan to moon the rival team during the song "Blue Moon"
And you'll probably say
>well it's not a rip off if it takes place in the same universe
But that's the thing. These people were so hung up to make a prequel and all they really wanted to do was remake Grease with a bunch of trannies and queergays. It's a rip off of the most egregious kind.
Btw I ain't gay. I just have a mom who is really into Grease when I was growing up. I even bought here a Pink Lady Jacket.
3>4>2>>>>>>>>>1
>Make a Pink Ladies show
>The most tolerable part of it are the T-Birds
Loving every laugh.
Jews do this so you literally won't be able to use it as an example of how these gay ass brown people reboots always fail. They'll do another one of these with like Three's Company or some shit where the John Ritter character is black now and one of the girls is a troony and most people will be like
>this is just like last time, when they ... wait, what did they do again? huh, well whatever
and that's how the israelites win, when people don't pay enough attention.
Don't let them off the hook with this shit, never forget that whatever the frick this shit was flopped harder than Grease 2 and don't let them frick over Three's Company
>don't let them frick over Three's Company
I couldn't give less of a shit. Burn all boomer junk.
Have they gone on the record announcing a Three’s Company reboot?
They've gone on record announcing(and shooting) a Night Court reboot, but you didn't know about that until now. It's almost like they're not operating in logical or effective ways. Maybe there's a reason for that.
>diversity hires writers
>diversity hires actors
>diversity hires directors
>its a failure
IMAGINE MY SHOCK!
only old White guys and working class israelites should write film and tv
Only people who are good at writing should write film and tv.
Yeah, that's what he said.
So Old White guys and working class israelitesish men
But then they might unionize and that's a big no for studios
that’s what he said?
This is the same thing they did with that shitty fairly odd parents show.
I'm pretty deep into film and tv and I never heard of this show until this very thread. Wild.
even film and tv has "bubbled" coz of all the streaming networks playing hot potato with shows and disappearing them.
for eg i'm watching pic related show and never seen it referenced here in a post-i guess coz apple tv doesn't pay for marketing on social media.
look at the frickin jaw on that dude. and could they of shopped out the acne on the one on the right
they race and gender swapped the main character to appeal to a global market
the manga is honestly really bad at pacing AND 2 asiatics really in love with french culture wouldn't hold anyone's interest so i'm fine with that.
the gal still gets btfo in all aspects of wine tasting.
>Take classic thing
>Turn it into gurlpower
>It flops horribly
Without fail
Grease was always for girls and gays.
I hate anything that has the "the rise of" or "rising" in it.
The Fire Rises!
Did they seriously photoshop a main actor’s face onto a body double? I can’t tell what’s fake marketing or not anymore.
Why is it so diverse for the 50's?
Watched this shit when I heard they were removing it. Just once, I'd like a film in the last decade to have a girl that looks like a boy not be a lesbian. It feels like fricking eons since then. When did stereotypes, like, "She plays sports, of COURSE she's a lesbian!", become the literal norm, instead of stereotypes in media.
too much propaganda, not enough entertainment
good riddance
I watched about half, and my wife watched the remainder and filled me in. Here's the main things I remember that could be seen that way:
>A They/Them wants to be one of the greasers, but they say no, because she's a woman.
U-turn discovers one of nancys employees was gay, and decides hes gonna get someone to frick the gay out of him...u-turns own girlfriend, who doesnt even hesitate and goes straight for the gay guy and even says it herself "im gonna frick the gay outta ya!".
like 4-5 seasons later, the gay guy was happily married to her
> has a lesbian kiss scene, and it's not earned at all!
Actually thinking people have to 'earn" kisses.
>he doesn't know that kisses are stolen
I'm not even a bugchaser, but what's with western media and ONLY showcasing Asian women with lumpy fricking potato heads? That chick is Mario 64 loading screen meets Oblivion character creator
White women are the main audience for streaming and they get jealous of hot asian women.
2nd from left is a man. Actually they're all men aren't they
>No one posted the copy paste faceswap “CGI” when the actor quit this absolute mess
I guess that makes it your job.
>cast multiracial uggos
>wtf why is no one watching
I like how all these 45 year olds are playing kids.
chuds are gonna be happy about this but this sucks. we're back to the era when some stuff aired and you never saw it again. what a crock of shit
Just pirate it then.
A lot of people forget that mass media is produced on finance, and that we're no longer living in the age of zero interest funny money. If something is projected to lose money, it gets pulled and written as a tax write off now instantly, because they can't afford to haemorrhage money like they used to, especially if you're paying 20% rates today, unlike 2% just a couple years ago.
why wont they stop making trash than no one asked for then?
There was a scene in this where the latina is caught fricking a racist bully who called the asian a "foreign b***h", the asian feels betrayed and runs out but when they meet up again she reveals to the latina that she's actually just jealous because he's been her crush since middle school.
Not joking.
another hit from paramount
I wonder if those Lost Media autists will choose to back it up or if they'll let it die.
In all seriousness, it doesn't look that bad https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnAlBzNy5KQ i guess it didnt found its audience
have a nice day, ESL
You forgot a period, Muhammad.
No Olivia, no audience.
Simple as.
It’s just a trend of doing tax write offs now. Cancel a show and remove it entirely. Isn’t it great?!
have streaming addicts not learned object permanence yet?
it's lost media now
>"Grease" is very clearly set in 1960
>There are many, many reminders of this throughout the film
>morons still think it takes place in the 50's
media literacy, anyone?
The problem ain't media literacy, is a lack of history knowledge
It's set in 1958-1959.
>it's mentioned that they're the class of '59
>anon thinks it's set in 1960
Stop naming thing Rise of.... It's been overplayed for too long. I can't be the only one
In a world where schmigadoon was renewed this was cancelled?
How bad was it?
lol wasn't this advertised as stunning and brave and amazing and just what we need today a few months ago?
Wait is it actually a troony or just an ugly girl seeking attention?
Not a troony in the sense that she feels dysphoria or underwent a transition, but definitely a troony in the sense that she's a narcissist engaging in attention-seeking behavior to escape from brutal reality.
>inb4 she
Born female. Deluded herself into thinking she wasn't a man or woman, but something unique and special. In other words, she's a woman.
The fact that this is the most this board has ever talked about this show should tell you why this show failed.
>an IP that was good looking white people for boomers
Glad some exec became self-aware for a moment. What an enormous waste of money.
aw... lmao
How did a group of theater kids get a show in the first place though?
You know what? I'm not even sure. The original had talent. Not sure why they chose the one group of people in a school without any.
Probably the same reason Grease got a sequel and cartoon. Just trying to cash in on something they didn't fully understand.
However looking at them... they might actually like Grease but being Millennials they had to pozz it up to sell it. Meanwhile my Zoomer ass appreciates the Americana and late 50's era and wouldn't dare frick with it like this.
>lgbt bullshit
> has a lesbian kiss scene, and it's not earned at all!
Actually thinking people have to 'earn" kisses.
>art
Shows so bad they get removed from streaming is why the writers strike is happening. Streaming services have to pay to keep these terrible shows on their platform, but no one is watching them. Writers don't care that no one watches it and still want to get paid.
I wonder if this happened because they fired real writers. That would explain so much. Nothing's written by writers anymore. They're all mongoloids with keyboards. The same fanfiction writers from tumblr in 2010, y'know?
how is the troony song the only good one in the entire show
>an open troony at an Americana 1950s high school
its a movie
The troony is implied to be a dream/figment of frumpy asian's imagination.
>fever dream visual effects
>giant spools and needles representing her dreams of fashion design
>"that's quite a proclamation for someone who don't exist"
Ok so it's a rip off of Beauty School Drop Out without the charm?
I don't know what that is. It's a musical number about a girl's fear of following her dream of becoming a fashion designer, where a troony representing the concept of bold fashion tells her she won't make it if she abandons her friends and goes on her own.
Beauty School Drop out is a dream sequence with the waitress in Grease.
2rdv2
Wait, are we calling the man in the Adam Ant/Elvis fusion jumpsuit a troony? Why? It looks like a regular gay.
>Aliexpress David Bowie
>The only good song
Is the show that bad?
>a trans in 1950's America
Yes, one can hope.
Sounds like they wanted to can it but there was legal shit in the contract that gave someone too much money in royalties.
>diversity filled reboot of a 100 year old movie is shit
How is this even up for discussion?
The list of shows that only exist because of piracy is growing fast. They don’t even sell these shows. They’re just /gone/.
Is this literally "what if Grease but every character is a woman?"
>NO YOU MUST ALLOWED A FAILED PROJECT TO TAKE UP SPACE UNFINISHED AND AWFUL FOR PRESERVATION
These homies would have never survived back when a show had one episode air and the rest full produced never be seen at all.
WHERE ARE MY REMASTERED BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD EPISODES, COMPLETE WITH THE FRICKING MUSIC VIDEOS?
I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR YEARS NOW TO PIRATE THAT SHIT.
> In June 2023, the series was canceled after one season, and has been permanently removed from Paramount+ due to a tax writeoff made on the show
What does that even mean? They wrote this show to get tax credits and then canceled?
>What does that even mean? They wrote this show to get tax credits and then canceled?
Naaaaw. No way Hollywood would purposefully make something bad because they could make more money due to a flop than a success due to accounting scams.
>need to make shows for streaming so people will subscribe
>finding investors for a show is hard because the entire pre-production/filming/post-production period is a black hole that returns 0 profits, so it might be over a year before you get one cent back
>tax deductions and credits are provided by the government to defer the burden until after the show is released and making money
>post-release, you have to start paying taxes on the profits AND the estimated value of owning the rights to the show
>if your show is a success, no one cares, you're printing money with this show for decades and it pays for itself
>if your show is a failure, no one cares, you still made a little money off of it because some small number of people are watching it and the estimated value for a flop is lower (so there's less tax burden to keep the rights)
Warners announced they are remaking Wizard Of Oz with director Kenya Baris.
This is sadly not the first remake or sequel. This is yet another well they keep going back to for some fricking bizarre reason. I remember that time they tried to make it into an edgy scifi show
Didn't they have one called Oz that was the most edgy shit and had nothing to do with the Wizard of Oz
It's not our fault that Holyshit has run out of ideas.
Why don't you make your new movies? Your generation doesn't worth shit, that's why.
You should tell her about the Black folk and israelites, anon
>Boomers legit can't handle a society not catering to them.
LOL all of you age obsessed homosexuals moaning is about society not catering to you..
ok boomer
This could have been a good show if it wasn't about fighting racial oppression and women's equality. In Grease the girl gang were just bawds that sang about boys.
