I mean that dude might actually be moronic too, eating a whole bag of weed gummies and having a seizure on the team plane. I think the moral of the story should have been it’s ok not to be able to read as long as you play a sport that doesn’t put holes in your brain.

I thought the back and forth was handled well in this episode. Other times the writers make Peggy too ham-fistedly dumb or stubborn but here you had more nuance with Hank having to face up to the reality of all the bullshit everyone else was willing to pull. And make no mistake, the student athlete system is filled with bullshit. Basically sets up 99% of them who can't go pro and rake in fat endorsements for failure in the long run.

Yes. The student athlete system abuses students by not paying them and lets them pass their courses no matter how moronic they are, so the 90% of them that don't make it to be pro end up being useless morons

She should've done far more, bringing to light all the other teachers who had given him good grades, contributed to him being a barely literate mollycoddled manchild that expected to always get his way Because Sports. The way he acted before Peggy stepped in, he probably would've ended up killing someone (probably his wife) in a few years. As it stands he was himself outraged to find out that people had been giving him free passes that he didn't earn.
