Her own grandfather conceived of her as weapon to further enhance Iroh's line. Her father "cared" only as long as she advanced his goals and the moment he no longer needed her, he discarded her like you discard a broken tool. Her mother resented her for being everything that had caused Azulon and Ozai to kidnap her. Her Uncle viewed her as an obstacle that Zuko would have to overcome in order to first get his father's love and then to fulfill his true destiny. Her "friends" were only by her side because they feared the consequences and the moment they stopped fearing them they "abandoned" her without any hesitation. She burned any familiar affection out of her brother to the point that he blames her for all the misfortune he suffered in life and only expresses any affection towards her out of a desire to save face with his nation. The moment she showed weakness, the once adoring masses quickly forget her and left her to rot. The only allies she has left are asylum loons and pro-war terrorist cells, but they are quickly being rounded up.

One day, when she is surrounded by the Avatar, her brother, and their allies, hungry, tired, dirty, and alone, with only death or a lifetime in prison alone with just her thoughts and without her bending to look forward to, Azula will realize the painfully obvious truth.

That no one ever loved her, not even herself. And that one never will.

I think he's known as a pervert at least from Zuko's perspective with stuff like when he said that quote of the girls from Ba Sing Se being pretty, but he's respected among his ppl at least until book 3.

Unrealistic writing. Fathers do not denounce their sons unless they frick up real hard. Ozai cared for his son more than his daughter. He wanted Zuko to be the gifted one, not a woman. That's why he made his son go out to find the Avatar, to force him to become stronger. In the end, Ozai got half of what he wanted. Azula was always the child he did not care for.

I don't think he was going to burn down his own nation. At worst she'd end up a subordinate ruler to the leader of an "empire" consisting of one still functioning nation, which seems like what she wanted in the first place.

Because for all the airs Azula puts on, she is a fragile minded person, especially compared to Zuko. Like if Zuko was in her position and had her natural talents, do you think he would have went insane after getting betrayed by Mai and Ty Lee? Or do you think he would have a breakdown after being told to stay at home by Daddy?

I thought one of the keys differences between Zuko and Azula is that Zuko outwardly appears weak but has great internal strength and grit while Azula outwardly appears strong but falls apart when shit gets tough.

Could you imagine Azula surviving half of what even Zuko did during the first 16 years of his life?

Well assuming she was given a moral center by their mother and supported by Iroh through her hardships, she probably would've done better what with the natural talent bonus on top of everything.
But that's the whole point of their characters: their different upbringings made them who they were.

Zuko wouldnt mind or does she really think this is an equivalent to the scar on his face or being banished?
Although on that scene, judging by her face she was afraid that something similar would happen, even though Ozai never striked me as intimidating nor smart aside from taking the throne from breakdown Iroh

What did she want even? She seemed perfectly happy to give Zuko all the accolades and prestige upon his return, but also seemed like she wanted some kind of acknowledgement from her father of her own "worthiness", despite getting it ,or as much as he's capable of giving, her whole life. You'd think being granted the title of Fire Lord, even if only ceremonial by that point, would be the kind of acknowledgement she'd want or at least think she wants.

Yeah that's kind of the hard redpill on Ozai/Azula. Zuko is the favorite, he always has been. Ozai has always been impressed by and even proud of Azula I would never deny that. However, only the way a craftsman is proud of his handiwork. She was his greatest instrument, but she would never be worthy to succeed him. After all no matter how excellent she was, how cunning, how lethal, how talented, she would always be a woman. Not a son, not the rightful heir to the throne, not a worthy successor. I could imagine that had Zuko struck Azula down he would be thrilled to finally have a son worthy of the throne, and of course he would have her to thank for it, for having pushed him as was her purpose. Notice how quick Ozai was to embrace his lost son on his return from exile. To honor him, to include him in his closest meetings, and parade his heir among his generals. Think back to the Agni-Kai, his son's first dishonor. Zuko had spoken like a weakling in front of his generals. In that moment he was not offended, he was alarmed.
He knew Zuko didn't have the strength to rule the empire he would create. That he'd spent too long in mommy's breast listening to misgivings and peaceable platitudes. This would not do. For it would be Ozai to forge the Global fire nation empire but it would be Zuko who would have to rule with an iron fist to maintain it with an iron fist. So he tore Zuko from the mother who'd whispered those lies into his ears and set him upon a task that would harden him into a warrior worthy to inherit the throne of the world.

Is Ozai trying to man up Iroh too on his eyes?

It's hard to tell. To Ozai, Iroh has been a broken man since the death of his son, but he is one of the single most talented and powerful fire benders of all time. Next to Ozai himself there is probably no single better fire bender to learn from. Unlike Ozai however, Iroh has immense patience, and has the hole of a lost son in his heart. So for Ozai, it's a no brainer, give his disgraced brother an assignment far away from the capital where can't cause any problems and give him purpose by allowing him to train Zuko. In this way he practically guarantees Zuko becomes stronger during his travels. That being said, Ozai had come to resent Iroh and probably would have preferred that Iroh had stayed out of the imperial limelight, as the eldest so he has the most legitimate claim to the throne.

LOL, you got that from that fanfic where Ozai essentially tell Zuko that Ursa "poisoned" him and so he burned and banished him so the experience and trauma would make him fit to rule. Different anon here, did you finish reading it? And if so, was it worth it? I have the next couple of weeks off and so want to know if the fic is worth my time. Because I love fics that treat Ozai as a human with actual motivations beyond being destructive.

Sorry for the late reply. I have indeed read it and I must say, the writing itself, the prose and the dialogue are a little amateur and iffy but still above par for fan fiction, however the character motivations and politics are really well thought out. There's a point where Ozai divulges that he was the head of the Fire Nation security apparatus, a duty which included copious torture and espionage. Zuko is taken back by this and asks how a father could give a son such a grotesque and heinous duty. Ozai, after mocking Zuko, reminds him that he saw first hand what the Dai Li, a security apparatus not directly in the hands of the Earth Emperor would do if given the chance. A nice detail and good politics.

Essentially, Azulon made Ozai marry and have kids with Ursa because he thought the resulting products would help ensure his line's continued rule. Since Iroh was Azulon's heir, Azulon though the prophecy meant that the Urazi kids would help Iroh's line rule. And personally I HC that Azulon wanted Azula to marry Lu Ten, with Zuko's descendents eventually marrying into the main bloodline, partially explaining why Azula hated Iroh and Lu Ten to the point she wanted Ozai to the take the throne.

Probably not. If Zuko was screwed up by being "not good enough" then she was screwed up by being held to the standards of a genius. But whereas Zuko was pampered by his mom and later helped by the genocidal old man who's totally a good guy because it took personal tragedy for him to realize murdering thousands of people is bad, Azula didn't have support like that. I'm not even sure her friends were really her friends, more like her playmates. Considering she didn't have basic social interaction skills like flirting, I'm guessing they never corrected her in anything or taught her any better as friends should do. And her father had the parenting skills of a rock. So no wonder she snapped.

No, she does have a conscience and understand morals/rules, she just doesn't care for the ones that don't benefit her. Really she's not stone cold in the show, you see her having fun, being upset, remorseful, angry, etc...
    >Psychopath
    Yes.
    >Psychopaths often display traits and behaviors that are cold, manipulative, antisocial, and narcissistic. These tendencies have been liked to early childhood experiences including maltreatment, rejection, and lack of parental affection, however, the exact causes are not well-understood.

          >Pretty sure I didn't. Sociopaths are defined by their lack of morality and conscience?
Sociopath are made, psychopaths are born. Also, I am pretty sure the terms sociopath and psychopath are outdated and the proper term today is ASPD, with children under 18 having conduct disorder.

            Anonymous

ASPD is the correct term when it comes to Sociopathy, not too sure about Psychopathy.
            >Sociopath are made, psychopaths are born.
I always thought they were both born and made. Like depending on your circumstances you could be one or the other.

Sociopaths have a conscious but it tends to be very selfish, which is why when they get older they tend to mellow out cause they experienced more hardship.

While I don't doubt what you're saying since it seems like I got it jumbled up, this seems like a vague explanation of what makes up sociopaths.
            >A “sociopath” has little regard for another person's emotions, rights, or experiences. They lack remorse for their actions, and they act in ways that show no regard for others, including lying, cheating, and manipulating.
Would you say that Azula has a lack of remorse for others or things? If anything it seems like she shares a few traits but not enough to be classified as this?

        >“They’re skilled actors whose sole mission is to manipulate people for personal gain,” Tompkins says.

nta but I used to enjoy torturing small animals as a child mostly nothing too harmful as I said above just grabbing them and squeezing bunnies to make them squeal or doing oddly sadistic shit in video games. I would say as long as you grow out of these things and they are in the past you can be redeemed. For instance I hate dogs so I refuse to take care of any since I know id be abusive

Personally I think you should go see a therapist or a psychiatrist, nothing too crazy just a quick check up, like you said if you grew out of it sure but you can't be too careful, I had to see someone because something was fricking me over when I started driving, I used to avoid it like the plague and I'd get so nervous on the road it was really bad. Luckily that's mostly gone, but I'd much prefer if someone comes with me on a long drive now

I actualy have seen a few therapist. It just sucks because its surprisingly hard to find therapists who work with trauma and acute mental health issues let alone borderline and antisocial personality disorders. I ended up getting tossed around a lot from therapist to psychiatrist. now that I have a psychiatrist im just looking for a therapist and I just did an interview with one who seemed promising

Back in ancient times people who were too skilled and particularly very intelligent were viewed with great distrust.
Since those people would be smart enough to manipulate the dumber and they also have proof that they are superior in a huge was to everyone else.
So the ancients viewed geniuses as threats.

Azula is similar. Born way more intelligent than her brother or mother or really anyone else she knew, and far more talented at bending as well as a royal.
She was born with the understanding that she was superior to basically everyone.

Combine that wth how her father, who is evil, was her main inspiration and showed her the most affection, and her mother who was disgusted by her inhumanity, she became more and more inhuman and focused on power and perfection rather than love, family, morality, or happiness.

Because of that she is a sociopath, yea

At first no, she would curse Zuko out and scream her head off at him, but soon she would love being held down and fricked by her big brother. After a couple sessions she would want to be put down more and more, until she is pretty much his sex slave. Outside she would be Princess Azula, powerful, intimidating, bold, but in bed she would be Zuko’s little cumdump princess.

Azula definitely wants to be knocked down a peg. Feel normal and loved by her peers rather than feared. Thankfully with Zuko’s help she can keep her ego in check and learn what eating dirt means, although for her its more eating bedsheets.

        Do you?
A sociopath hates living within society, they cannot behave themselves properly and seek to destroy things. Think Tyler Durden from Fight Club.
A psychopath can actually behave himself and therefore blend in with society. They do this in order to manipulate people and achieve their goals. Think Patrick Bateman.

I'd say Azula is closer to being a psychopath since she kept her good standing within the fire nation and can be highly manipulative when she wants to.

diagnosed sociopath here. Azula is for sure a comfort character to me (I have mommy issues aswell) The disregard for peoples feelings and almost autistic behavior is something I struggle with daily. Much like how she acted like a tard while socializing I cant really understand what someone else is feeling when talking to them so its kinda like a guess game of are they happy im talking to them or not, I usually ask most times for clarification. The whole hurting animals thing is another close relation. I used to grab bunnies as a kid because I liked them squealing and I tried trapping mice before. aside from these key things though thier isnt enough evidence to tie her to aspd or sociopathy the spectrum of autism varies and azula seems to be on the spectrum but not fully on one side.

I adore her though and love talking about her so ama

abuse and learned toxic behavior tends to cause personality disorders azula had an absent mother and a strict father too strict one might say. Reminds me of my dad I used to be threatened with beatings if I got poor grades this was in elementary school lol. He also made it clear that no one loved me but him and my mother and I could trust no one.

As far as hurting animals it was like a fascination I used to zone out just listening to the squeals it was soothing I guess its hard to explain. I used to have a game where you fed these animals and if you didnt they would cry and my mom said I would just sit thier holding the food bowls infront of the dogs face to make it cry. Because Mai knows she will never win against Azula without the help of another. But more than that she knows Azula being dominated by Zuko would hurt her more than anything she could do or think of. She wants the satisfaction of bringing down Azula without even having to touch her. She wants to watch Azula squirm and struggle face down on the ground while Zuko ravages her, only then will Azula know she has been bested.

Yes, their shared princess. Mai never does anything more than groping or finger fricking her, she saves the real fun for Zuko. The way she sees it, Azula doesnt deserve much attention from the woman who defeated her. She isnt worth her time, Zuko however loves any time he gets with her, as he has a lot of pent up anger towards her that Mai loves to see be released.

Just eat her out. Mai would feel the only place Azula deserves to be is under her pleasuring her with just her tongue. Azulas hands are too filthy and disgusting to touch Mai, she would never allow them on her body, the only one that truly gets access to it is Zuko. Mai would take great pleasure in forcing Azula to watch as the man she loves pleasures her in ways she never could, to show who Zuko really loves, and to show that Azula will never be good enough for anything other than being a seat.

I was also very manipulative and lacking in empathy growing up. Im not saying azula isnt a sociopath just that being a sociopath and not being a sociopath arent black and white.

I do really like cats though

You mean the remake of Halloween from anon, can really see the comparison you're making since Michael on that movie is a product of nurture and not the incarnation of evil like the og version or the new remake, which tries to end Laurie-Michael's relationship for like the 4th time already

is it wrong to find comfort in azula? She mirriors much of of how I acted in my childhood and what I could have been had I not made an effort to change

Not really anon, Azula is quite a good character that went a dark path influenced by others trying to mold her into a weapon rather than treat her as a human being and she passed that abuse onto the others surrounding her, S1 Zuko is also quite similar like when he treats Iroh like dogshit despite being his only ally at times

Well, firstly I would like to bring up the royal family of the fire nation.
It's so moronic that my world-building heart can't take it.
Why do these fire lords keep having only one maybe two children? One lucky assassin and the entire nation is fricked. They should have an extended family.

The existance of lesser nobility like Mai, must imply that there exists a feudal-like system, aka potential allies or opposition to the monarch.

Emotionally stunted, heavily abused child soldiers who due to their status as Royalty, or due to being friends with them, haven't really learned consequences and know they will never suffer them.

Also, the end of the Beach, where it is Zuko, Mai, and Ty Lee who destroy the house is proof that all they weren't always deep down good people.

            >Why do these fire lords keep having only one maybe two children? One lucky assassin and the entire nation is fricked. They should have an extended family.
It is implied in the TTRPG, the Kyoshi novels, and in Legacy of the Fire Nation, but Fire Lords don't have many children because more children means more potential rivals for your favored child/heir. And the Fire Nation has a nasty history of siblings fighting for the throne.

Why the hell don't they have a last name.
Toph gets a last name and she's only a noble.

The Kyoshi novels explain this by saying the Fire Nation used to have a clan system, but after the events of Shadow of Kyoshi, FL Zoyru vows to break the clans and cement power in the Fire Lord. And by the time of Sozin, clans are a thing of past, with people's only loyalty being to their Fire Lord.

If the clans, aka the nobility, are a thing of the past, then who do they marry? It's not like they marry out of love, so even if the nobility doesn't exist by name it must exist de facto.

There are still wealthy families of strong lineages, so they must still be potential challengers for the throne.

Has the royal line never been broken? That doesn't seem possible.

                >so they must still be potential challengers for the throne.
Bryke in old interviews, plus the lost lore of Avatar Aang, implies that people can challenge the Royal Family for their titles and positions. So even a palace rat like Ozai has seen dozens of life or death duels by the time he is 30.

                >And the Fire Nation has a nasty history of siblings fighting for the throne
A potential civil war is preferable to societal collapse due to a lack of an heir.

Smoke and Shadow and Shadow of Kyoshi all but say a Fire Nation civil war, or a Fire Nation without order, is essentially hell on earth.

                >Has the royal line never been broken? That doesn't seem possible.
Zoyru's line hasn't been broken because they hoarded techniques like lighting generation to themselves. Also, the whole Urazi marriaged pursued by Azulon suggests that the Royal Family engaged in selective breeding to make sure that they only produce apex firebenders, which explains why Ozai hated Zuko and (probably) why Azulon was ok with killing off his remaining second generation male heir.

He is in his early twenties I think and was raised by Long Feng after his father died real early in his childhood. So taking into account how seuqestered Long Feng had Kuei, I think the answer is that Long Feng did not want to account for more than one royal or have to make sure that the concubines don't break his hold on Kuei.

The real life Ottoman Empire had a policy where the New Sultan would have all of his brothers executed right as he took the throne so that there would be no pretenders.

And from Sozin, Ozai, and Azula we can tell that the royal family are master fire benders, so they probably just aren't afraid of assassins

Azula could be the perfect character to explore child abuse and mental illnesses. It would also help her become more human in the eyes of the audience.
There could also be a healing relationship between Zuko and Azula, similarly to Zuko and Iroh, but obviously way more problematic and dramatic. The plot needs drama anyways.

Wife to the Firelord. On a more serious note, Zukos wife. To be really honest I hope they dont touch her even though they probably will and it will be like the comics or something and she will be some evil scheming villain, and as much as id like them to do a redemption story with her and Zuko, I dont trust them to pull it off.

The problem with using comic books to tell the future of the characters is that, by nature of the medium, something needs to go wrong.
You can't have a story just describing the happily ever after, it wouldn't be an interesting read.

That's why Mai doesn't stay with Zuko in the comics, because that wouldn't be conflict.

          Anonymous

You don't need to ruin already existing stuff.
Zuko and Azula are the royal family, Mai is a lesser noble, Toph is a proper noble, Sokka is a de facto noble. Where are the politics?

            Anonymous

            >Where are the politics?
Avatar, for the most part, just uses politics as window dressing. For Avatar is an action-adventure series that is character, and not story, focused.

Like imo, one of Yang's biggest problems is that tried conforming the characters to what ever story he wanted to tell instead of conforming the story to the characters.

For example, it makes sense that Mai and Zuko would break up since they do need to work on each other and Mai is not read to deal with the political and social burdens that come with being Fire Lady.

However, the way that Yang does it, with Zuko going to Ozai for advice, causing Mai to dump him on the spot so that Zuko can become more isolated, doesn't really fit the characters. Nor does Mai committing treason to protect Ukano and the NOS society when she already has shown a willingness to throw Ukano to the wolves to protect Zuko.

So what I am trying to say is that Avatar's politics are just skin-deep and a lot of the bad writing from the franchise comes when they try to the make the politics the center of the story instead of the characters.

But then you run into issues with the network TV show and comics formats; namely it is hard to go into the detail necessary to have credible characterization and world-building politics since you only have so much time/panels.

It is no surprise that the Kyoshi novels have the best of both worlds since F.C. Yee had over 800 pages to work with.

                >The comic abilities are too OP imo.
Why though? You could have Zuko learn how to constantly generate dragon fire, master firebending with his swords, and learn how to generate lighting and he would be right there with Azula. Not to mention Katara, Sokka, Suki Toph, and Aang are all implied to get much stronger as they hit their prime.

                >I just want Azula in a story that makes sense.
Agreed. Imo, the direction they took her in S&S does really make sense, it is nigh impossible to walk back even though they are trying to "course correct" and have seeking the throne again after S&S.

                >Preferably with Zuko helping her be a bit less nutty
I want Zuko to fix the asylums so she can get actual help. But I don't want him to help her, at least not until she has made amends to him, because not only is Zuko too immature to be helping Azula, he was one of his principal victims.

              >She might not be the Princess of the Fire Nation anymore, but she's certainly Princess of Volley Ball.
              >Does complain about the uniforms though, but understands why they are what they are.

        Anonymous

Azula had already gone completely crazy, had thrown out everyone by banishment and had no friends allies or even advisors.
The Fire Nation would essentially enter complete anarchy. Local nobles (who are implied to exist) would become defacto kings of their lands central authority would break down since Azula would only be able to exert it herself.
The Phoenix King Ozai would hear about this and naturally take action. Perhaps even replacing Azula entirely, causing a civil war between the Phoenix King and the Fire Nation.

Even if Ozai beat Aang and Zuko and Katara were killed by Azula; Toph, Sokka, and Suki would still have destroyed the fire fleet. That means that Ozai couldn't have destroyed the Earth Kingdom anymore.
So with Omashu and Ba Sing Sei both back in Earth Kingdom hands and the comet over, and with a new war to re-assert control over the Fire Nation, Ozai would have lost the war.

With the Fire Nation in chaos, the armies occupying the Earth kingdom would retreat to either restore order to the nation or protect their personal homelands.
No supplies would come out of the Nation, so the Earth King would sweep through the whole continent and restore order.

        (tbc)

          Anonymous

The remnants of the gAang (Sokka, Toph, and Suki) would team up with the White Lotus and the Earth Kingdom to try the invasion again. Since they already had managed to break into the imperial palace and capitol city when they didn't even have a country behind them.
Now they could first break the old invasion force out of prison and then add them on to the Earth Kingdom's forces to take over the Fire Nation.
Sokka would likely understand that the best way to win the war without having to occupy every last bit of Fire Nation land would be install a New Fire Lord and have them sign peace.
Iroh would be the logical choice, if he refused then maybe Jong Jong.

At this point there are really only two threats to the Earth Kingdom's mission. Azula (who may have been killed by her father) and Ozai.
Ozai is tough, but the comet is gone by now.
So Toph and the White Lotus masters together would probably be able to kill him, ending the war.

Iroh, the begrudging new Firelord might adopt or just re-marry and have a new kid to be the new Fire Lord.
and since Iroh is a good father, there won't be problems with the Fire Nation for generations to come.

Iroh, Guru Patik, and some Ba Sing Sei professors would now be the last people who know anything about Air bending now that Aang is dead.
The Avatar will be born in one of the Water Tribes and wouldn't actually be Korra. (since her parents would still be children, or even unborn, by Aang's death and so they couldn't give her their genetics nor name her)
Nonetheless she would be taught to just basically invent Air bending by studying scrolls, movements by academics and maybe Appa if he isn't dead.

            Anonymous

            (cont)
After peace is finally established by the team avatar remnants, Iroh, and the Earth King, there would be an effort to actually see if there are any Air Benders or air bender descendants left.
There is that theory that Tai Lee was an Air Bender descendant since she has the same hair and eye color as Aang and is very light-footed, acrobatic, and free spirited, which are all traits shared with the Air Benders.

On one hand, it would make a lot of sense that not every Air Nomad died, the reason there are no air benders anymore could be that bending would be super dangerous and so those who did escape from the Fire Nation might have hid it and not even told their family, so after 100 years there just is nobody who knows they can airbend anymore, even if they could should they have instruction.
On the other hand the show is literally called "The Last Airbender." Which is pretty definitive.

If there are Air Bender descendants left, they will be found by an Earth Kingdom census and taught to Air Bend, creating a new culture of Air Benders who can air bend but are basically just Earth Kingdom citizens.
Some of them might chose to live in an Air Temple, most would probably just live where they had before. Some might move into the Northern Air temple, since that one is actually populated.
And since all leaders of the three remaining nations feel great sympathy for the Air nomads and for Aang, they would probably create a new Air bending school in one of the temples for people to study the ways of the old Air Nomads and for the next Avatar to learn Air bending.

If the Air Benders are all dead then the school would still be made, but just for the next Avatars.
Once the cycle returns back to air, the cycle might be broken forever, just skip air and move to water, or maybe even the avatar would be born into the Mechanists' flock.

The only interesting ending (and possible setup for a future series) is if Azula beats Katara and regains her composure. On the other hand Aang must beat Ozai because otherwise he would have achieved all of his goals, including complete genocide. Fire Lord Azula X Years later would have been very interesting. The Fire Nation backs off while they keep Katara and Zuko hostage to keep Aang in check. X years later Aang disappears and Azula launches a new attack she prepared for.

I fit the spectrum of observed symptoms to a reasonable degree. I've always been aware that I'm an exceptionally solitary person and not very emotionally available. I don't think I feel emotions as deeply as others. Virtually no genuine close relationships. Unusual lack of interest in other people romantically/sexually (though I do have a libido, but I could count the number of people I've found potentially romantically exciting on one hand and have two fingers left over). Not much of a drive or ambition. Some anxious symptoms too. I'd say I'd qualify as one of the so-called secret schizoids if I did at all. Diagnosing yourself as an amateur with psychopathology is a fool's game after all.

I spent some time wondering if I might have depression or ASPD but they just don't fit at all besides having a somewhat shallow emotional experience. Not outright ahedonia either but something like it. I'm rarely anything more than content and I don't feel any impulse (nor have any notion of how) to change that.

those do track but make sure to get a proper diagnoses first. I would say I feel my bpd more than my aspd, with intense feelings of abandonment. I used to keep anyone I felt close to on a tight leash my best friend at the time, I refused to hang out with if he wasnt alone and if he had friends come over I would be intentionally cruel towards to get them to leave or just act like a spastic to get them to not hang out with me. I feel with aspd you see an objective and have no barricades infront of it where as with others they see it but have barricades like morals and empathy. I used to steal my friends legos and toys for example and lie if he asked if I did and felt nothing.

When I first crushed on this one girl I was obsessed with her everything I did I did for her the most horrifying moment of my life was scaring her. I was at her house we were playing halo 3 and thier was some dude on who I could tell was interested in her so I got on mic and like a well psychopath told him off by yelling at him and saying I would guy him if he ever came near her. Mind you we were just friends at this point.

im a hard person to break down the walls of but when I feel truly like I enjoy someone I hold onto them for dear life and thats when I start to slip into more psychotic behavior

All Azula REALLY needs is a nice Earth Kingdom girl with fat breasts to lovingly flip through her ham wallet, you know? Cannonball the fiddle cove at high tide, if you catch my drift. Smooth out the old b***h wrinkle. Maybe even tongue-punch the fart box, if there's time. Just needs to relax, have a nice cup of tea, and enjoy the tender care of milky EK sweater cows all over her body. All sweaty and dripping. Hey, maybe ever turn the tables a bit! Spread those creamy EK peasant thighs over her royal face and chow down. Just go at it, you know? Knock that tender pudding hatch around a bit. Really get up in there, have herself a good time.

Yeah. Yeah, that's definitely what Azula needs.

        >Zuko and Azula sharing Jin
I need this. Imagine Zuko returning to the Fire Nation with Jin and her family as “prisoners” when really he just wants to keep her safe. Of course Azula catches wind of what Zuko is brining with him and overthinking determines Jin is Zuko’s sex slave and begins to see her as competition. She spys on them 24/7, always trying to get answers out of Zuko, never seeing or hearing anything too out there. She thinks they have figured her out and she will never catch then, and so she busts out her ultimate plan. Zuko thinks he is meeting Jin for tea, when really its a trap, Azula has him right by the balls, and begins phase one. Jin received Zukos invitation and goes to their spot, only to find Zuko being ridden by his sister. Jin is confused, and a little hurt. Azula tells Jin that her and her brothers game is up, and that she is now both their master.

There's some stupid fapfic on AO3 that's pretty much that exact premise. Uhh... Royally Fricked is the name, I want to say. I didn't get very far into it because it was kind of boring and not very well written.

    >people wonder why ATLA gets so much Azula discussion
    >Zuko never found their mom in an animated series
    >Azula never recovered from her psychosis
    >the comics make things even more muddled
    >worse yet they add even more incestuous undertones when none of the official writers will ever truly commit to such a taboo subject

They made Mai dump Zuko and now he's alone...also he has daughter later in canon so who's the mom? There's just this big gaping canon timeline hole that they seem to not want filled with any concrete details.

Maiko from whar I remember is the best pairing of the series, but they threw it away to heavily imply Zuko's dating Suki

        >Yeah, it made sense to me too. BTW, were is a link to it (works/36453046) and I hope you enjoy it like I did. Also, fyi, the chapter where Ozai tells Zuko his side of the story is Ch.23.
I have actually read the fic and can give a summary. But it is long and plot heavy as frick and so I'll see if another anon is up to the task before writing one out for you guys.

Also, if justanotherthrowaway1950 lurks here, we want to let you know that we want more Fire Foursome fics and less Tyzula fics. Please!

I just woke up and have to get this out of my system. I just dreamt that Azula found herself in something like Dark Souls II, and found peace amongst the killing, dying, decay, and machinations of the universe.

In earlier concept art Fire Nation were heavily based on Japan(Azula and Zuko had Samurai armor and such) but they became much more Chinese in the actual show. Though obviously there's still some influences like the relatively small industrial island nation raping China thing.
But in the end I'm gonna have to go with Azula being Spanish.

The irony is that both her and Zuko are FAR more than socially awkward due to devoting all of their time and resources to be child soldiers like post here says

Her psych profile is all over the place cuz she was written by lazy hacks. Feel free to make up your diagnosis.

But both her and Zuko would get the most simps by far

Zuko should promote some sort of national sports league so former soldiers have shit to do.

Also, Azula as an overly competitive volleyball player is cute.

          >Azula in five years becomes a very competitive, very skilled volley ball player.
          >A healthy outlet that she wins nearly every time, and when she doesn't she doesn't fume and become a flaming wreck.
          >Her team becomes her friends, and she has actual friends that aren't nobility for a change.
          >She might not be the Princess of the Fire Nation anymore, but she's certainly Princess of Volley Ball.
          >Does complain about the uniforms though, but understands why they are what they are.

          Imagine Azula on interviews baka

Yeah, not to mention, if she lives in modern enough times, wouldn't there be CPS equivalent and thus Ozai couldn't go as far as he did in canon in regards to his kids?

                >Do you really think Ozai would care about something like CPS?
It is not so much as he would care it is just that a modern!AU Ozai is not a member of royalty. Like he wouldn't have the resources to avoid going to jail if he burned Zuko.
