what's morally wrong about it? I firmly believe fair treatment is a 2 way street. if it was most other people, I probably wouldn't defend embarrassing them and exposing their sickness for the sake of making money, but these guys are not "simply sick".

Now post a picture of a 12 or 13 year old, because that's what the decoys were using. Nope. One got off on a technicality, and one season in Texas got thrown out for improper handling of evidence. Everyone else got charged and convicted. Perverted Justice got over 600 pedos jailed, while they were operating.
Only the ones who kept their mouths shut technically got slaps on the wrist. Luckily it was a very small percentage. At least 90% were charged and jailed.

If they were pedophiles that understood their urges and sought help that would be one thing, and there's a conversation to be had for people in that situation. Frankly we don't have much data on rehab or what we could even do, whether or not its treatable or the result of something unchangeable.
Fact is though the people on the show went the extra mile and physically traveled to the home of an underage child with the intent to commit sex acts, they're beyond the stage where we show pity and extend help. A lot of them had priors for identical behavior, one guy had multiple cases where he had engaged in lewd activities with minors and still met up.
