Gumball *has* shown to be able to go full rage mode a few times. Usually that results in him running very fast. Like "leave fire trail" fast. Since it happened at least two times - when he got pissed at Chris Morris, and when he got pissed at Alan, it is therefore a canon feat.

Of course, this will all be unimportant once gumball unlocks the sex powerboost from banging penny. Then he'll be able to challenge his mother for a true fight by saying her soup is too salty.

Richard with a job is reality warping.

This is kind of a headcanon, but I don't think Richard is reality level because of his Pizza delivery job.
Reality in Gumball seems to be much weaker than in most other shows. Not just because of cartoon logic, but also with so many meta/fourth wall jokes and plots wearing down the reality of their universe.
Richard is notable because of how easy it was for him to nearly destroy reality, but I think everyone has non-power-scaling methods of destroying reality through, like when the Wattersons lost all their money.

I am sexually attracted to Nicole not because of her appearance or weird fetish art, but because I find her determination and attitude charming and exhilarating. I found a Nicole in real life. Unlike Nicole, who chose Richard over her wealthy family, the Nicole I met chose her family over me. I regularly watch The Choices and thing about what could have been.

Gumball and Darwin with Imagination are basically reality warpers.
It would be like putting up the Hulk, Captain America and Iron Man against Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch.
Yeah, the Hulk and Iron Man are physically stronger, but Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch's magic can easily BTFO them.

Easier to draw, simple as. Everything becomes rounder, smoother, and simply easier to work with. However, while I do appreciate the earlier designs more, I fully recognize the change was needed to have so much more animation with non-2D character models.

Darwin has the least potential because he's a good boy who gets his strength from genuine feeling, rather than multiple layers of cynicism and sarcasm like the Wattersons. Unless TAWOG changes its perspective to be less ironic, Darwin will never be anything more than an overly-emotional crybaby.

in general darwin always carries a soapbox around to lord over people especially gumball while still conveniently being an ass, that or he's written to be moronicly naive

this, in the late seasons darwin felt more sardonic and sarcastic than gumball himself

at least gumball would still end up doing dumb stuff or generally being hyped for something that just ends badly for him, darwin spends all his goddamn time being anais 2.0 and nagging about how gumball is doing stupid shit like he can barely tolerate him anymore

as well as acting like brothers and not just dickheads
let's not forget the episode where darwin gets good at the flute magically and acts like a b***h to gumball the entire way thru until he completely flunks the solo at the end

same here tbh, the wattersons get so unlikable that its hard to give a shit about them. if the show started off with them being buttholes from the get go a la seinfield/its always sunny, it wouldn't be so annoying.

hell this kind of shit doesn't even end at jokes it extends to relating to plots of entire episodes like The Election (this is the trivia section of said episode), The Test, The Best, The Worst, The Line, The Blame, i could go on

That's not the implication, the implication is that by focusing less on working with the 2D rigs and making them simpler, it gives animators more time to work with 3D rigs, which are more complicated.

At the very least, I believe Gumball has more latent potential that will probably stay latent because he's a slacker. Gumball has Nicole's quick-twitch muscle fibers and more than a fraction of her cunning, he just uses it for oddball shit.

Nicole is at the peak of her power, we've only just begun to see what kind of power Gumball has.

I like Richard more when his family isn't around, because he's usually sectioned off as a vehicle to make fat or moron jokes whenever he's paired with them. When he's on his own like in The Return or The Routine, he's much more tolerable and endearing.

yeah richard has far more potential in action and comedy than what he's used for in the later seasons but he's always just used as a scapegoat for his family to shit on him when they're not shitting on each other and The Return and The Routine are fairly good episodes in spite of how far later in the show they come into
