Cindy's my favorite too. I think her movie is the best of the Silver Age princess movies. She's got a lot of personality and character, and more agency than you'd expect for the era. Unlike Aurora, Cinderella actually gets to solve a problem herself.
compared to Fantasia? I really don't think so. Sleeping Beauty is all style, there is nothing more or less "technical" about anything in the movie, it just has a very distinct style and beautiful coloring.
>bunch of triangles >snow white is round with huge milky breasts >ariel's the perff e-girl >belle can read and is into bestiality >nala is bestiality >cinderella's already a slave b***h who knows her place
yup
I keep seeing this repeated everywhere online, but I've yet to see a source.
The closes thing I found was a site that said "at the time of the release of the movie her age was released to the press", while also acknowledging it could just be an urban legend because it seems like no one had any actual evidence.
Nope, the official list of unofficial Disney Princesses™ members is: >Minnie Mouse >Alice >Wendy Darling >Tinker Bell >Maid Marian >Eilonwy >Queen Nala >Esmeralda >Megara >Princess Dot >Jane Porter >Jessie the Yodeling Cowgirl >Princess Melody >Empress Kida >Kairi >Ting-Ting, Su, and Mei >Kilala Reno >Giselle >Vanellope >Sofia the First >Princess Anna >Queen Elsa >Elena of Avalor
These are all Disney heroines that have sometimes guest starred in official Disney Princess merch or promotions, but haven't joined the group in the long-term.
Pic related is the current lineup, with Moana being the newest addition, who didn't actually get a coronation event like her recent predecessors, but was rather slowly integrated into the marketing before being officially added to the group in 2019.
Merida looks so off. Say what you will about Disney, but they know how to design characters who can look good in both 2D and 3D. Their 3D characters are hand drawn and then CGI'd, I feel like Merida was only CGI'd.

You can't pretend snow white was any different
There was a more or less recent comic miniseries retelling Disney's SnowWhite which actually gave her and her prince a lot more personality. I liked it a lot, recommended.
I don't think she's the absolute worst but she's down there. 0 personality. The movie went full beast mode in art direction but can you seriously tell me anything about this b***h? Hobbies? Personality? She doesn't have any characterization she's just a pretty face. Pocahontas had the same treatment but she has a personality. Pretty with a soul. Rapunzel had the similar living arrangements but they gave her interests. Overall Aurora isn't worth remembering unless you're focusing on her character design, than she's obviously ranked high.
>singing >dancing >animal lover >hopeful romantic
That's like, the bare minimum hobbies and traits for a Disney Princess, especially for the ones during Walt's lifetime.
I guess but it's not nothing.
It's just a pet peeve of mine because too often people do this even to people IRL. It's a very Reddit thing to do. show a person's actions and behavior as indicators of their lack of personality when it's actually the opposite.
Like the other anon said that's standard. Mulan sang and talked to animals but you know what else? She had a drive and a personality.
[...]
You can't pretend snow white was any different
Nobody said she was any different that b***h is down there right next to Aurora.
Pocahontas kinda sucks in the first film. Hers might be the lone case in the whole canon where the DTV sequel was better.
I won't say Pocahontas is a 10/10 princess all around but I compared them because both had strong art direction. The A team was put on both projects. I can a least say a few words about who I think Pocahontas is from watching the movie heck even looking at stills and never seeing the movie. You take some screencaps from other disney princesses you could do the same. Ariel ditzy and curious, Jasmine hotty and playful, belle being bookish. I mean just ask a little girl to tell you about Aurora and watch what they say. Nothing but "she's pretty".
It's cool to like a character because of their design but don't trying to prop them up where the writing department failed. Even the background artist could of put stuff in the back to give small story telling props about her like Nani from Lilo.
>singing >dancing >animal lover >hopeful romantic
That's like, the bare minimum hobbies and traits for a Disney Princess, especially for the ones during Walt's lifetime.
I would say Cinderella is also in that category, she has to actually fight for her happy ending in Cinderella 3 since the Fairy Godmother is dead with Lady Tremaine wielding the wand.
Aurora is basically a blank slate because her movie gives her no personality to speak of. Why do you think Cinemaphile likes to do stuff with her? We've had more AUs about Aurora than with any other Disney princess, and that's because her own movie doesn't do anything of note with her.
Like that time we made her a vampire. Or that time we made her magical. Or that time Maleficent was her godparent and turned her into a dark fairy.
Aurora is fun fodder for AUs and "not safe for kids" shit, and it's a direct result of how little personality she has in canon.
Yes, she'd be one of those rich girl stereotypes in highschool, except well-mannered.
Aurora's an alphabawd thot but with the confidence and grace of a true princess.
It was a series of threads that was collectively gathered under the heading "Dark Disney."
The general gist of things is that is that Merryweather fricks up her spell, which is how so many of these things start. Instead of casting a spell that ensured Aurora would sleep, rather than die, when she pricks her finger, Merryweather casts a spell that says Aurora will die, but rise again. So when Aurora pricks her finger, she falls into death, and then awakens as one of the undead, with a craving for blood. So she's a fun video game-tier vampire with super strength, durability, etc..
She awakens in some Dark Souls-tier perversion of the Disney multiverse where Maleficent and the other Disney villains have taken over the world. I think Jafar as a genie was one of the other villains.
Other elements included Aurora partnering up with an older, grizzled Mulan, and they were going to save the world from darkness together. Also, Scar was a were-lion and had a human form he could shift into.
It was a bunch of different threads about five or so years ago, you should be able to poke around and find some of them.
Jasmine isn't the worst but her personality is so crappy. She is quick to judgment, easily swayed by whatever she is told, and she's so detached from reality. She didn't know she had to pay for food? Aladdin tried to keep Iago a secret because he knew she'd react exactly the way she reacted in Aladdin 2? I guess she just acts how real women act, and that's why she just rubs me the wrong way though I would still frick her for days on end until she was mind-broken
I don't know how old you are but when Aladdin was new Jasmine was Disney's version of a (head)strong / tomboyish girl. All the previous princesses just went with the flow and hoped everything will end up favorably for them. Jasmine actually voiced her displeasure and actively resisted things she didn't like. Not knowing about real life was supposed to make her adorable because she needs someone to teach her. I had fun with Princess Trainer which doubled down on her being b***hy but in reality she isn't bad at all, she just sticks out because other princess are so meek.

Jasmine is absolutely a spoiled, judgemental b***h and also super sexy for it.
Akabur's interpretation of her in the Princess Trainer games as a b***h who needs breaking in is perfect.
I don't think she is judgemental. She had no problem with Aladdin despite he was a homeless thief. She hates liars which is understandable. Iago schemed with Jafar behind her back for years. I couldn't trust the bird either.
Elsa is only fun because her modernity combined with her lack of love interests has ensured that she has a higher percentage of truly degenerate porn than the other princesses. Elsa gets the most /d/ and /trash/-tier stuff.
>Rapunzel
Raps gets foot stuff but not much else that's exotic.
Elsa is actually not an official Disney Princess™, mainly because the Frozen brand is strong enough to stand on its own rather than sharing space with other series, but there is some crossover, so she's an honorary member rather than a main one.
>The Disney Princesses are a magical group, but ultimately they boil down to a merchandise and film franchise from a business perspective. Frozen is its own merchandise and film franchise. Basically, Anna and Elsa aren't princesses because they're plenty profitable on their own.
This is a fact dude, like I said, there's some crossover, like the Ralph breaks the Internet movie, but Elsa and Anna have their own thing going.
Doesn't matter if she's being sold in the merchandise line or not, the character is a princess from Disney.
Nope, the official list of unofficial Disney Princesses™ members is: >Minnie Mouse >Alice >Wendy Darling >Tinker Bell >Maid Marian >Eilonwy >Queen Nala >Esmeralda >Megara >Princess Dot >Jane Porter >Jessie the Yodeling Cowgirl >Princess Melody >Empress Kida >Kairi >Ting-Ting, Su, and Mei >Kilala Reno >Giselle >Vanellope >Sofia the First >Princess Anna >Queen Elsa >Elena of Avalor

>the character is a princess from Disney
I'm not arguing against her royal status in her movies, but you know what I mean anon, I'm specifically talking about the group of female characters that Disney markets as Disney Princesses™, some that aren't even actual princesses themselves, looking at you Mulan.
Elsa, just like Eilonwy, is a Disney princess, but not a Disney Princess™. Also, now that I think about it, Elsa isn't exactly a princess, right? She's a queen, maybe Anna would be more fitting for this argument, but then again, she apparently becomes queen at the end of Frozen 2, so whatever.
>There isn't an TM in OP
Ah, but the word Princess is capitalized! >Elsa didn't became a queen until the end of the movie
Fair enough, I haven't seen either of the Frozen films so I wouldn't know.
What's wrong with her?
She's a dumb b***h.
I'd rather watch her sleep than rewatch Merida's film
Her film contains the best technical hand-drawn animation Disney ever achieved to date.
It's basically the first film that pops into mind when someone mentions a Disney Princess.
I think that would be Cinderella, she always seemed to me like "main" Disney Princess.
Cinderella, Jasmine, or Belle
Fitting for Walt's reportedly favorite princess.
Sleeping Beauty is so fricking boring it has literally put me to sleep every time that I've watched it.
That's the point of it. It's a masterpiece of conceptual art.
>movie called "Sleeping Beauty"
>I was the Beauty all along
BRAVO DISNEY
the only thing ppl remember bout the movie is the villain
Not true, I remember the cake baking the most.
Not even close. She’s top three along with Cinderella and Snow White
>bunch of triangles
>snow white is round with huge milky breasts
>ariel's the perff e-girl
>belle can read and is into bestiality
>nala is bestiality
>cinderella's already a slave b***h who knows her place
yup
>snow white is round with huge milky breasts
Idk who's the worst disney princess, but this thing is definitely the creepiest one.
I hate her so much.
Give her a break, she was the first one.
She’s kind of ugly honestly
Her Mirrorverse variant is just better in every way.
>pants
>superior
coomer revisionism
I mean. She is like a 13 year old girl or whatever, right?
The mind of a coomer amazes me. None of these descriptions are correct.
>perff e-girl
And of course the coomer is also a pedophile
ariel? snow white is the youngest one, she is 14

But Aurora runs around barefoot in the forest.
The real sleeping beauty is Alice.
Alice isn't an official Disney Princess™, just an honorary one.
>not a princess
that's what makes her better.
>that nice dicky
Is Judy hopps an honorary princess as well?
Nope, the official list of unofficial Disney Princesses™ members is:
>Minnie Mouse

>Tinker Bell
>Maid Marian
>Eilonwy
>Queen Nala
>Esmeralda
>Megara

Didn't Tinker Bell get the boot because of the fairy franchise?
Merida looks so off. Say what you will about Disney, but they know how to design characters who can look good in both 2D and 3D. Their 3D characters are hand drawn and then CGI'd, I feel like Merida was only CGI'd.

"a princess indeed."
>wendys flesh barrier
>Vanellope and Kairi
>but not Elsa
Come on now
She's right there at the bottom, between Anna and Elena.
Everyone in this thread will need to pretend otherwise so I can save face.
Not when Pocahontas exists.
This.
There was a more or less recent comic miniseries retelling Disney's SnowWhite which actually gave her and her prince a lot more personality. I liked it a lot, recommended.
That's a very cute SW.
Why does the style remind me so much of Psudonym?
I'm gonna have to check this comic out, I like seeing Snow White given actual character depth.
Storytime it
This looks really fun. Is it in the archives? Has anyone ever storytimed it?
Are you too stupid to look it up on rco or something?
I don't think she's the absolute worst but she's down there. 0 personality. The movie went full beast mode in art direction but can you seriously tell me anything about this b***h? Hobbies? Accurate, Rapunzel definitely ranks higher overall than Aurora.
>Hobbies?
Signing, dancing, picking berries
>Personality?
Animal lover, hopeful romantic
Not much but it's not nothing

At least Snow White waited until the climax to fricking die.
Snow White had personality though. Old Disney wasn't as in your face about it as now. That "Oh, you must be Grumpy!" was adorable as frick.
Pocahontas kinda sucks in the first film. Hers might be the lone case in the whole canon where the DTV sequel was better.
I would say Cinderella is also in that category, she has to actually fight for her happy ending in Cinderella 3 since the Fairy Godmother is dead with Lady Tremaine wielding the wand.
>Cinderella 3
Nani the frick
She's incredibly hot but yeah she has no personality
I don't think she is. looks really bland.
why isn't she fisting herself to prolapsed completion?
>Now come on Samson you get him for two whole days, you just gonna have to wait
you just know
That's not how you ride a horse, Phillip.
Say what you want about Aurora, but she and Philip are the hottest Disney couple. I'd frick them both.
The goblin ambush scene should have been with Aurora.
Why is this the first thread I see after taking a break from the rare It Hurts thread?
Aurora is basically a blank slate because her movie gives her no personality to speak of. Why do you think Cinemaphile likes to do stuff with her? We've had more AUs about Aurora than with any other Disney princess, and that's because her own movie doesn't do anything of note with her.

Aurora one of my favorite Disney princesses, she is low-key super loose and I love bawds.
She does kind of give off a really thotty, Stacy vibe.
Like if the princesses existed in a High School AU, Aurora would be a Heather Chandler-tier alpha b***h.
Maybe it's that hair. Not only is she blond, her hair is poofy in this really preppy, rich girl way.
Yes, she'd be one of those rich girl stereotypes in highschool, except well-mannered.
Aurora's an alphabawd thot but with the confidence and grace of a true princess.
>Kim Possible breasts
No thanks.
I love the Dark Aurora AU, though I never saw the Vampire Aurora thread. Does anyone have anything from that?
It was a series of threads that was collectively gathered under the heading "Dark Disney."

That reminds me of some art I found, Dark Disney is my jam.
Here's another one.
>that Maleficent
dem legs man
Alright, which of the three (Jafar/Maleficent/Ursula) comes out on top of this cage match?
Jafar can't kill, right? That's one of the rules of being a genie. So he loses. It all depends on how powerful Triton's trident actually is.
>Jafar can't kill, right? That's one of the rules of being a genie. So he loses.
You'd be surprised what you can live through.
>You'd be surprised what you can live through
One of the most cold blooded lines in all of Disney
I'm not familiar with the fanfic scene but we talked about this:
She looks like an alpha b***h but acts like a good girl. I would die for Jasmine but if she didn't exist my favorite would be Aurora.
it's a soulful and gorgeously animated movie
Who cares about the blonde tart when she exists?
>green
>evil
Hhnnngggg
She's arguably one of the most beautiful, but she easily has the least personality.
All Disney Princesses are bland as frick. Hell, the vast majority of Disney characters are.
Jasmine isn't the worst but her personality is so crappy. She is quick to judgment, easily swayed by whatever she is told, and she's so detached from reality. She didn't know she had to pay for food? Women over 25 really believe this.
Aladdin was written and directed by men.
Talking about how they act in real life, like being a hindrance is cute at an age where it really isn't.
Jasmine is absolutely a spoiled, judgemental b***h and also super sexy for it.

I don't think she is judgemental. She had no problem with Aladdin despite he was a homeless thief. She hates liars which is understandable. Iago schemed with Jafar behind her back for years. I couldn't trust the bird either.
But she is damn sexy when she is bratty for sure.
she's like a tertiary character in her own movie. make of that what you will.
She in unequivocally best girl.
Wow, that spin is god-tier. You really notice how impressive it is when it's isolated like that.
do you have any pencil tests with Cinderella
>Aurora worst anything
>when THIS exists
boy I sure can tell when I'm on Cinemaphilemblr
What's wrong with Tiana?
She's extremely frickable but she's also a stick in the mud.
Her skin is also the color of mud
Sweet sixteen and never been kissed. She's my favorite.
Elsa is the worst, Aurora is the boring one.
Now, who are the best Disney heroes?
