It's vastly superior to Full Metal Jacket, but still nowhere near as good as his best films like 2001 and Barry Lyndon.

I enjoy all his movies, still need to see a couple. But for me this is one of his best. The thing with Kubrick is every film he made is from a completely different genre. You have sci-fi, horror, history, social commentary, mystery, dystopia, war. To rank movies from completely different genres against each other isn't really possible I don't think. I think what you can say is he made arguably the very best examples of movies from those genres and that alone makes him an incredibly talented director.

fricking based. if the revolution or science fiction, the period movie, horror, film noir. I agree with you. I still haven't seen this movie and I feel that it's quite an event for the eyes

It certainly could be if Kybrick himself could finish editing it (no, I'm not talking about conspiracy theories about "lost footage", just normal editing).

this movie literally got him killed, if you are red pilled it's obvious that the movie is about Epstein and Kubrick's attempt at revealing what he knows about Western PDF file elites.

This is Epstein and Maxwell 100%. Why the frick would Kubrick decide to put a single masked woman who isn't one of the sex servants into the crowd, and for her to be watching the whole ritual unfold?

I liked e-girlta before reading the book and seeing what a disappointing adaptation it is. The book isn't even about dicky at all.

I can clearly understand why it would be his favourite of his filmography and it is exceptionally great but I prefer a few of his other films

Hot take: the film doesn't have any "missing footage" and the theatrical cut is actually the cut that Kubrick had been putting together when he died

The ritual song in the movie backwards is a Romanian Orthodox chant which refers to "God's children," the first and last words of the movie combine to say "honey frick" which was slang for child exploitation in the 90s. In an interview Cruise and Kidman admit that at times Kubrick was the only one on the set and that when asked to explain movie context Kubrick refused. Kidman also said that Kubrick "didn't want to make a documentary" when referencing the ritual scene. In the orgy scene, one sex slave (very petite I may add) can be seen being held down by her hands by another woman while a man has sex with her, somewhat showing a forced nature to the sexual acts being done.
        >Oh yeah, and then there's the whole exchange at the costume shop.
You literally have to be a negative IQ braindead moron to believe that this movie is about "a dream" or some stupid stoner lady shit like that.

Kubrick adapted all his films from novels and Clockwork is the only one that didn't change much.

Apparently the original Eyes Wide Shut is pretty much the same as the movie. And it was written in like 1920s.

No you're just moronic, and you're trolling skills are Twitter tier. Also you're not acknowledging the post either, you're just being a homosexual. Epstein may have had a boss but to deny that Kubrick wasn't trying to send out a message with this film is negative IQ.

He's kinda overrated as a director, but the comfiest is probably Barry Lyndon if you're not a normie and if you can appreciate actual patrician kino.

He was better as a cinematographer to be honest; his first job was a photographer; he used 70mm film in the 60s which is why 2001 feels like it's from the 80s.

You'll grow out of your Barry Lyndon phase. Maybe, my personal favorite has been The Shining for over 20 years.

Probably my favorite, it's relatively fast paced for a Kubrick movie and the whole thing is just shockingly redpilled about the reality of rich sex trafficking swingers clubs/cults.

I love the first half. Hated when the movie turned into Cruise facing the consequence of going into the Orgy. The whole movie should have just been cucked Cruise trying to find his masculinity again.

why do so many people think that the cult's threats weren't real? most people I've talked to about this movie believed Ziegler when he said that the hookers death was a coincidence.
