I was about to say Spoorloos, but that's Belgian isn't it? The Belgians on the oth t hand made plenty of good movies despite not even being a real country.
This scene (pic related) is already kino.
Also both new kids movies and flodders movie rule.
There are some other Dutch comedies but I can not think of the names, can a brother help me out?
Also that elevator that kills people was a popular Dutch film for years, some 70s movie.
what do you think of that movie with the stunt driver (fall guy) also by the New Kids team?
those are actually all the Dutch films I can personally think of which is a shame
Didn't see it, I've seen quite a few classics throughout the years because there would be periods where they would air on TV, but hardly any of the newer things. Most arthouse cinema that gets praised is not usually praised because it has good plot or anything, but because there is breasts, dick and bush. That is what the old dutch movies were pretty much known for. You don't watch things like Turks Fruit for the plot, in fact the plot is often ridiculous.
I know a few good Paraguayan movies. Don't be so harsh on yourself.
You have a cool angle at least
wrong
Whats that? A film for ants??
but we do?
druk
Surely such an ancient and productive nation has more kino than my young and culturally impoverished nation (Australia)?
Films only started getting made in the 20th century you STUPID homosexual
Do you seriously lack the education to understand the fundamental importance of culture to artistic productivity?

The director is a French-born Dutch.
Anyway Belgians have Calvaire at the very least.
It's from a dutch author so yeah, it's ours.

Paul Verhoeven is the Netherlands' best filmmaker by far but his best movies are all american lol (Robocop, Starship Troopers, Basic Instinct)
But i gotta say Spetters, Black Book and Soldier of Orange are all very good
Showgirls and The 4th Man are also good, Elle is a masterpiece and i still have to see Flesh + Blood and Turkish Delight
New Kids and Flodders
i hate the Dutch so much bros. theyre as degenerate as the french with all the smugness but none of the redeeming qualities
What do u mean? Theyre the best Europeans. Not as serious as the Germans, not as treacherous as the Brits and not as pretentious as the French
Hou je kankerbek schijt amerikaan

what's wrong with Karakter?
I'm sure you can find something decent if you go even further back
Karakter is our one and only go-to...
Personally I like The Discovery of Heaven (directed by Jeroen Krabbé) but it's more of an international/euro production
we do
has there been an influx of dutch posters here or is that just me?
I'm german
you guys are cool though. dutch posters on the other hand are insufferable
We watched this film about a donkey in dutch class. Dont remember it as anything offensively bad
