There have been multiple interviews with family members where they say their father was abusive and controlling. Dennis Wilson apparently got it the worst and Brian Wilson in his more lucid days claimed he was his over the head with a 2x4. His father also tried micro manage the band and was jealous of his sons musical genius because he though he was a musician (hence the 'im a genius too" rhonda tapes). The band eventually booted their father out but he forged brians signature and sold their catalog to capitol without their consent.

You will also notice they re-recorded their own stuff a lot and toured constantly because they couldnt make money on their hit records. Whats funny is that Mike Love sued Brian Wilson in the 90s for a co-writing credit on a bunch of songs from the 60s. THese contributions were a small percent of the song and were as petty as 'goodnight baby, sleep tight' on wouldnt it be nice.

The Beatles were a studio created boy band. Everything that boomers and midwife cream their pants about them over someone already did it and did it better. the string arrangements and sound effects weren’t even done by the Beatles. That honor goes to the fifth beatle. George Harrison had some good stuff but the the two big ego gays in the group hardly let him put his stuff out.

remember modern media exists entirely to rape and pervert beloved male media to turn it into diverse and inclusive propaganda by communists that hate the west and straight white males
don't talk about things you like, women homosexuals and trannies are pure evil

In the case of Tolkien and Anne Rice women were also upset. They may not admit it but they like their elves and vampires looking like White twinks

Ain't a homosexual. It's just the truth. A skinny White guy looks more elvish or vampire-like than a black guy with a large jaw. That's because they were characters from European folktales

Sure thing homosexual, the first thing you think about is women liking homosexuals instead of the more masculine Black person headcannon you got going on
your brain is completely rotten from commie tier propaganda conditioning
you can't go two seconds without thinking about homosexuals or Black folk, let alone sexualizing them
do us a favor and end your miserable existence

Anne Rice should honestly have tried finding cheaper actors to play Lestat and Louis because Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise hated each other and they asked way too much money to continue starring in sequels.

This. Remember that they hate you.
When they say something needs "diversity" they really just mean something is too White.

They hate you so much that they cannot stand the idea of an all White group at any point in history or even fantasy.
They have to destroy any idea of a group of all White people living happily in their little Shire, minding their own business.

      They hate you.

You need a sophisticated and competent civilization for that.
We really don't have that anymore, so even the direct works of JRR Tolkien will also eventually fade into willful obscurity.

I thought the books were overrated anyways, too much singing for my liking.

It's an old article. Rings was made after he died

His father wrote it for him. We should be thankful he was alive.

If that came with a big inheritance, I'd be glad to take that life. Better than staring at a computer or trudging in a factory 10 hours a day for decades.

Christopher's devotion to his father and his dad's work is admirable. He legit defended it because he grew up with it and helped edit it as a young man

I've been on a nostalgia binge recently and it's absolutely amazing how great most stuff before around 2008 was. Like seriously, videogames, anime, cartoons, books, movies, all of it is so fricking good and free of modern idpol insanity, it's absolutely wonderful. I'm playing Breath of Fire while watching Slayers and Dragon Half (dub on both because frick you 90's voice acting is fricking hilarious) right now and it's the most joy I've had with any media in a very long time.

True Chrissy was a bad writer constantly dragged by jrr ( l mind you he hated everyone’s writing), plus he was so obsessed with being a son to his father he was never a father to his own sons, that’s why Simon flogged it all off because to him jrr is just a writer and Chris is just some guy

Cs Lewis is a much better writer for adults any way, much more varied texts and much deeper themes

Unfortunately, LoTR's future as a slop was set the moment they gave hollywood rights to produce first movies. There was no way it wouldn't eventually lead to a slop, it's actually pretty fascinating it took them so much time to produce rings of power. But it really shouldn't bother you at all, unless you are panning to spend money on it. You can't stop them from buying things and turning them into shit, but you can just not consume the product. Just stop consuming.
