I love Bakshi’s films, he’s honestly inspired my art in many ways. One complaint I’d have about some of his films is that sometimes his films can tend to feel unfocused. Like sometimes he’ll have these random moments that add nothing to the plot and are just random non-sequiturs.
I wouldn't call rotoscope animation the peak of anything.
This movie also wasn't very good. It was the edge of the time period and didn't age well at all, it's more of an interesting time capsule.
