The last time there was a study of “starvation” in the USA was 1992 and it found that only people who starved were self induced to due to abuse/deliberate murder.
Compared to any time in the last 12,000 years of human history a tiny tiny fraction of humans starve today and it’s almost always due to deliberate actions of crime and murder not due to lack of available food
