>How does this work?
>It works like a community toy chest. In the /coc/ threads you are free to post whatever ideas/settings/characters you want, but you have to be OK with other people playing with them (tweaking them, putting them in stories, using them for things, etc.)
>There's no guarantee that what you post will catch on either.
>If the OC you are posting is YOURS for something you are personally doing, then it would go to the "How is your webcomic?" threads.

Welcome to another weekend, everyone!
BOOBS
She won't be that happy if she gets sunburned at the beach.
Here's an idea. You know how most people need help getting the sunscreen on their backs? Audrey is the type who would invent some kind of machine to do that for her.
I feel like she's the type who actually can reach every spot on her back though.
>Audrey is the type who would invent some kind of machine to do that for her.
Ehh, she's more of a grease monkey than a full-on gadgeteer. Weird inventions for basic tasks feels odd for her. She's more practically-minded than that.
That's definitely a device in a similar vein to Marley's soap machine
I always feel Sarah or Iris would do it for her though I'm not really against your idea. You think she asked Billy if no one else was around?
I don't think she would since she knows who Billy is.
He'd die of jittery anyway.
How's it going?
It's too damn hot here.
Colouring in a 4-page story. It'll take a while to put together, mostly because the first panel needs the most care and has stuff I haven't rightly practiced rendering a lot until now, like trees and a submarine of sorts. Also storyboarded a small 2-page story involving a scrapped car and a hovercraft.
I happened across this thread today
and it's put me in mind of some interesting applications of hero/normie interactions - the effects of comic event collateral damage on people and how they learn negative associative behaviour with supers including PTSD; a 'cure' for superpowers; human racists vs mutant/super racists; people wanting to have a 'gifted kid' with a super; furries desperately wanting to be a mutant to turn into a cat or the opposite gender and instead end up looking like a blob or having a low-tier power like 'exploding dick'; mutant-porn online and shapeshifter prostitutes; the paranoia of waking up as a puddle of ooze or nuclear bomb, suddenly one day having an inexplicably power or mutation, allegorical to adult allergies; supers/mutants having rights and politicians trying to take them away, including mutant (anti-mutant) politicians who are basically used by their allies; supers kidnapped by the government for study and how that practice gets abolished in the first-world only to grow rampant elsewhere; the new CEO of a shell company going around apologising to supers for the actions of the former CEO perpetuating/covering-up said kidnappings; etc etc etc. Basically I'm wondering if any of this stuff would interest writers here, or act as a springboard for stories with /coc/ characters that they hadn't considered before
Some of that gives me the vibe I get from some parts of discussions we've had about I Know A Guy.
Golden Girl and Radlad ice cream pops
Neato! Happy she's banana flavored like I wanted thanks. RL can be kiwi and lime flavored.
What would Silver Queen's flavor be? White cherry?
Colloidal silver. Gives you that healthy bluish glow.
The Glory line would be star-spangled banner themed.
Star Spangled Push Pop
Just like the ones we used to get on the river side way stop on the way home.
I'd let her have a lick at my push pop.
Cute!
Does GG have any cold themed villains yet?
When Silver Queen is frozen by Donna Dynamo's out-of-control automated ice cream truck, Golden Girl must use her ice pick hard nipples to free her mentor from the deep freeze.
Should only GG and The Crusaders have their own ice pops?
Now draw the real, fricked up versions kids would actually get, rather than the ones you see in advertisements.
So just a nondescript blob then?
And goodnight everyone.
Goodnight!
Perpetual motion.
Anybody wanna imagine Marley but thick? And I mean all around thick not “big boobs”
Bacon Double Cheeseburger thicc??
Busty bug?
I like to imagine it, but the trick is finding artists who want to make it real.
All I'm interested in is huge boobs.
What's the point
Some kind of Bizarrobug, I would imagine.
Oh yeah, I asked this in the /aco/ thread but if you fellas have any inspiration for other Audrey outfits, alongside the poodle-dress and GG outfit, that would great to have drawn up by somebody. It feels like we lack a lot more options
Personally, I would love to see Audrey wear a summer dress, along with the hat.
That be cute.
I know I've seen that requested before, but I can't remember if it was drawn or not.
Should there be a Heat wave scenario in Platinum City where it's even too hot for SQ and GG to run mid-day on crime fighting. How would they deal with that?
If it's not too hot for crime to be a foot, then it's not too hot to foil it.
GG hopping on one foot from the other because the ground is too hot. GG wrapping a cold lunch in foil and letting it bake in the heat of the sun.
All kinds of background gags she could be doing as SQ goes on her heroic speech.
Puts a marshmallow on a stick and holds it in direct sunlight from the shade
Immediately bursts into flame
Makes a smore
Yum
Or just melts into a puddle on the ground.
What if the villain was made of fire or immune to heat? Would SQ and GG also wear lighter clothes?
Spray the villain with asbestos.
And then SQ lite up a cigarette for a job well done
You spay someone with a white substance and then lite up a smoke to congratulate yourself? The two together will get the code on ya if you're not careful.
Where would they get it and how?
It's the 50s. A construction site would have it.
Didn't that shit become illegal in some states?
Oh yeah. It's illegal now, it took forever for it to be made illegal though despite everyone knowing it gives you death lung and super cancer and makes your kids more moronic.
I remember there's an old video of a man wearing an asbestos suit walking into a room sized furnace and sitting down in a chair before they turned all the fires on. He just sat there like everything was fine, he probably would've read a newspaper while he waited for them to be done trying to cook him if not for the fire.
He's likely long died of cancer by now.
I think they were hunting the stuff down in the late 70s the same with lead paint too.
A lot of places still have them
My friend was told when he moved into his house to not damage any floors or walls, there is asbestos in them and that would release it into the air.
I did that as a school community service thing once! It was all over the local park for some reason.
Where wouldn't you get it
That shit was everywhere
>Bizarrobug
That's already a thing, no?
>Captcha: 0KWWWW
Multiverse shenanigans are 'in' right now.
Would Crackdown be able to rip open a hole in Ladybug's/any other forcefield with his bare hands since his ability is all about energy disruption?
I think he could rip a hole open on the other side of the force field if he really knew what he was doing with spacial awareness.
I'm not talking about bypassing it though, I I'm talking about how his power would directly interact with energy and energy constructs.
It's not really a physical object, tearing it like cellophane would be more of a toon force move I'd think. Where entropy applies to energy I imagine he'd just be able to exert an undue amount of drain on the battery by striking the shield. Maybe giving Ladybug the impression that he's much physically stronger than he actually is in the process.
>tearing it like cellophane would be more of a toon force move I'd think
In that case, we can give it a dash of realism:
>Crackdown can pull forcefields apart, but unlike with regular physical objects, he has to apply his power continuously since they are constantly reforming into their original shape
>it also may hurt like hell, as forcefield's edges are constantly digging into his fingers
Can he regrow lost fingers?
No (or at least not on the level he's at right now), but he might be able to reattach them.
He might need to sew them back onto hishandy for that to happen as well.
I think he'd just be able to bypass it entirely if he was precise enough with crack generation.
thread needs more lewd ladybug
I'm sure she's just trying out a photo op at the local ren faire. In full costume, for some reason.
I wonder how she got there.
I wonder what's going to happen to her.
She ignored not wearing a bikini on a beach episode. Now she must pay!
Goodnight everyone.
What happened to foxy pop?
It melted.
The horror.
>the horror
I'll say.
Holy FRICK is it hot outside.
Hot today, hot yesterday, gonna be hot tomorrow.
I imagine you'd be mad too if you were stuck with a haircut you don't like because your powers burned off half your hair and keep ruining all of your clothes.
Who would be making and selling these in-universe? Do the villains get mad that they don't also have ice pops?
Was debating a ice cream truck/mad scientist situation going on
Billy was jealous so Betty made a Billy Shake
Pops-Sickle? A Ded Moroz style Old Man Communist who sells the ice of the Motherland in Fantastical Capitalist Designs to brainwash the youth of the West?
Can pretty much guess their weapon if they get cornered and have to fight
Think they'd have a hammer based assistant
Symbol on truck would be ice cream cone and scoop in similar fashion to hammer and sickle?
Definitely.
It could also be that soda jerk guy.
What flavor is a Billy Shake?
Rocky road
Shake Billy was so cool, ice dried.
Think they'd have a Neapolitan ice cream hairstyle?
They wouldn't be in-universe, or the GG pop couldn't have gumball breasts.
girl superheroes shouldnt be allowed to wear bras
Some of them don't have to

Does it have rocket boosters? Oil slicks? Grappling hooks? A comfortable seat?
She's invested heavily in state of the art shock absorbers.
>Oil slicks?
Only when she's been slacking on the maintenance.
Question straight outta /aco/
How would you adapt The Developing Adventures of Golden Girl into vidya?
I wouldn't. I'm more into the Cinemaphileverse, personally.
16-bit platformer ala Rocket Knight Adventures or Goemon 2
Some Atari-style adventure game, or an early NES style hop-n-bop. Something that might show up on an in-setting AVGN episode. Maybe that one Dick Tracy game.
Now, question for your specialty, /aco/-friend. If you're even slightly familiar with the Cinemaphileverse, what kind of porn game would you make using it?
Been watching the old Batman cartoon and I got inspired by Clock King with a similar idea. Could make for a cool villain for JackHammer or Crackdown
Mason Moore, also known as… the Blueprint!
Mason was a renowned architect, a virtuoso who could thought up the most innovative ideas and put them up on paper in a nick of time. Furthermore, his memory was so formidable that he memorized any and all plans he ever laid eyes upon. Alongside his natural talent was his sharp wits, with whom he made his company grow up fast and he had contracts all over the world
Unfortunately his quick success became his downfall into villainy. At first it started with a few costumed criminals choosing the emplacement of his projects for their criminal activities, like attacking a museum that underwent renovation. Or even fighting their fateful battles against their heroic counterparts on construction sites. Then jealous rivals, sensing an opportunity, hired supervillains and goons to target all new projects of Mr Moore. It didn’t take long to associate the name of Mason Moore with bad fortune. With his company going under, Mason realized that the only people who truly profit in this world are the goons who were paid to sabotage him, and the masterminds behind their actions. If only crime pays, then a criminal he’d be.
Using his knowledge of architecture and his experience on the field, he robbed banks he had previously worked the plans for, finding weaknesses only he could exploit. Using this money, he used it to rebuild his business and most importantly… spread his influence into the companies of his rivals. This way, he could obtain their secrets to commit more crimes, and lessen the suspicion on him.
So the design would be very similar to CK. His suit and hat could be blue with a white grid. Instead of a clock hand as a cane/sword, it could be a compass. He could even dislocate it to have a double sided spear. One end could extend just like when you put a pencil on it.
Interesting idea. It could be said that the man just had an unbelievable stroke of bad luck, and he wasn't mentally built to cope with it. It could also be said that his talent and hubris meant he had more buildings around town, and made him a bigger 'target', setting himself up for his own downfall. The idea of other contractors indirectly sabotaging him with supers in a way that technically kept their hands clean is also interesting. It opens the room for ideas like insurance fraud with building owners hiring supers, supers being held accountable in human court as accomplices, super representatives, etc.
Unlike mainstream comics you also have the freedom to make the character as 'sympathetic' as you please, or allow their presence to suggest hard questions that other stories would duck out of or avoid by transforming the character into a strawman terrorist
Well for now I mostly have the BTAS show in mind and how would Blueprint work in it. At first it would be exploiting flaws in the design so he could make a heist, but after enough criminal success to reinvigorate his company, he could deliberately leave literal backdoors that only he would know about.
Thinking about what kind of stories he would have, there would be the classic heists of course. There could also be revenge against his competitors for sabotaging him, or even for stealing contracts because of under the table deals with politicians.
I could even see him capturing Batman and taking him to a demolition site. The area was for a skyscraper that he had personally designed. He would say something “You know Batman, the dream of any architect is to leave a mark on this earth. One that would last a hundred years. As you can see from around you, mine fell into ruins a long time ago… but no matter. I have a new dream. One that will outlast any building in this decrepit city. My permanent mark on this world will be as the man who killed the Batman!”
I already talked about his double spear compass, but other tools he could use could be rulers as bladed weapons, like imagine him using two round 180* rulers as brass knuckles. Also a measuring tape with a knife that would spring out like Joker’s boxing gloves.

It's all good.
Also, these are supposed to be quick jabs insead of full-on Star Patinum blows.
I should've made it more clear by having his arm be bent at the elbow in one of those afterimages
And here I was planning on uploading it myself when the thread starts to die like I've been doing for the last 3 months lol.
Damn, this sucks. Hope you get it fixed.
Newman's collection of ducks grow more powerful each day
Haven't seen Question Duck in a while.
Does Marlemon have a Mega Evolution?
oh that'd be a fun idea, a Marlon as a royal knight.
Probably, but there's a decent chance it's a dinosaur or a bird or something, knowing Digimon.
It's a good thing there's no height requirement.
The ladybug-like thing in the show has this thing as its Mega form, so maybe you don't want to know.
Also Angewomon's mega form was a pink furry dragon (which makes sense as all her other forms are 4 legged animals), and it was hated so much they changed it into a female archangel.
The only sexy girl digimon who didn't turn into something weird was Lillymon, and even she turned into an adult dominatrix.
Was one of my favorites growing up.
Maybe it could be based on the bugmech. A lot of high level digimon look like gundams, such as Omnimon.
Or maybe it turns into Goliath.
If it's anything like Lilymon -> Rosemon, then Ladybugs mega form would just be herself as a tall, curvy adult woman. I mean, as far as body proportions would go. In reality she'd also be like 3 meters tall.
>In reality she'd also be like 3 meters tall.
Who wouldn't want a giant woman.
Guy who like Shortstacks. Everyone has their own preference and no one is wrong.
Calm down, Steven.
Upgrade her and digivolve that ladybug booty!
Being thirsty can make dreams come true.
What's the omni-matter engine?
And why does it looks like she's a little Ladybug on a bigger Ladybug body? I can't help but see a pair of puny arms on her neck.
>What's the omni-matter engine?
A contrivance just for that image to explain why the pint size flatscan suddenly has phenomenal cosmic power. I like to have a bit of a narrative, even for ridiculous little what-ifs.
Conceptually I guess you could call it the embodiment of the equal and opposite reaction. Everything that exists in the same system as it, it can exert an equivalent power to. In a sense, it is powered by the potential energy (or lack thereof) of everything. Omni-Matter engine.
>And why does it looks like she's a little Ladybug on a bigger Ladybug body? I can't help but see a pair of puny arms on her neck.
Because I'm not an artist. Maybe next pile I'll take another crack at the concept.
>Because I'm not an artist
I didn't point the little arms out to say it was a bad drawing, but just to understand if I was the only one seeing them. The fact that you want to improve puts you above many other supposed artists.
For the record, the “arms” are supposed to be hair.
Has this anything to do with the beta and delta matter mentioned in the comics?
Same naming convention just because it’s powering a Ladybug suit, but I haven’t come up with any sort of lore connection since I didn’t really figure the Omni-Matter Engine would ever actually be used.
I mean, from the naming convention alone it can be inferred that *omni*-matter engine can use *any* kind of matter as fuel, no?
That's how I interpreted it, at least.
It can be argued that the only kind of matter that can be used as a fuel is the one holding some form of potential energy. You can't get any energy from a piece of iron alone.
The reason why some rocks (uranium, coal) holds potential energy is also because energy was used in their creation by mother nature, and this is why lab made antimatter isn't a viable fuel, because to produce it you need more energy than it gives you. Not to say that storing energy in an more easily retrievable form is a fruitless endeavor, although you need some level of efficiency or you'll just waste most of it.
True, but that form of her is clearly in the realm of "tech so advanced it's basically magic", so I'd expect at least some laws of physics to be bent to a comical extent.
It'd be cool to see other heroes versions of cosmic powers as well.
Like maybe Knightingale in her equivalent of Hellbat armor/Superior Iron Man suit.
Hope these art piles continue for as long as they can with no burnouts. I don't want them to turn into something the thread "use to do". I really enjoyed them.
Making this thing no longer bugcord-exclusive probably bought it a couple of years of shelf life at least.
I take back the old busty bug/thick Marley shit, I want some cute/wholesome Marley
>I take back the old busty bug/thick Marley shit, I want some cute/wholesome Marley
welcome back to the light, brother.
it's all in good fun, at the end of the day.
10 on a Tuesday?
It's more likely than you think!
sometimes it be that way.
Been thinking about Hunter X Hunter and the Werner Herzog documentary about penguins. Do you think there are cases of people in /coc/ who aren't necessarily dyed-in-the-wool villains, who are just born with such a tunnel vision that they abandon family and society and throw themselves headlong into a venture like whaling, polar research, studying animals, electric engineering etc etc? It might be fairly monotonous to try and make a full-scale series out of, but a one-off story or a background event of people just suddenly receiving The Call and leaving their station or itching to leave despite their roots. Honestly the idea might just be another spin on the 'adult allergies' metaphor we see in things like people acquiring powers/mutations later in life out of happenstance
If there are real life people with tunnel vision on a career then of course there are people in our fictional setting like that.
Conner might try to do research on 'The Call' to see if he can get it to call him so he can stay focused enough on one thing. He might tunnel vision on finding the root of 'The Call' and get close, but loose interest right before a breakthrough with some shadowy folks commenting that he's very fortunate that he let it go when he did.
Conner forgot the rule.
When one sees a lion, one must get in the car.
>When one sees a lion, one must get in the car.
That's an ancient-ass meme
If we already have the suggestion of experimented-on animals and ambiguously-defined dragons then an animal teacher could be cool and we could explore different folks' reactions to the idea
>'The Call'
I wonder if this idea would serve to explain some plot points (Conner's tunnel vision basically being an equivalent without a target, compared to everyone else who suicidally homes in on one particular thing) or if it's just overcomplicating the setting again
Just because it's an old ass meme doesn't mean the rule is invalid.
As for 'the call', it's mainly meant to be another one-off joke about how Conner gets really focused on one thing but then loses interest after a while.
There being spooks who took note of Conner getting closer to the "truth" is just more of the humor. It's not meant to be a deepest lore thing.
Conner sees a full grown lion on the way to school and freaks the frick out, and when he makes it to class everyone else is like 'yeah that's the new teacher'
Silver Queen Ice Cream Sandwich
Probably a vanilla cookie.
What would the ice cream flavor be? Gray and Blue sprinkles?
Vanilla blue frosted coated cookie with vanilla ice cream and gray and blue sprinkles.
I'd buy one
Hmm, would Iron Girl have her own ice cream? If so, I picture a Soviet colored rocket shaped black cherry flavored Popsicle.
I don't think she gets one because she's a villain but I see IG making her own anf throwing them out for free till she runs out of supplies because of communism consequences probably.
Betty had to make one for Billy to cheer him up
Would the villians just make their own?
Katya is good at food, but would she understand the whole cooling off during summer with sweet treats thing?
Or would she be running around offering people some Official Iron Girl Gazpacho?
Cranberry ice cream sandwich.
Didn't even know that was an available flavor
It also works on another level, since "cranberry" or "klyukva" is also russian slang for overly stereotypical portrayal of russians, specifically soviet-era ones.
Seems to fit Katya well with her constant "muh capitalism" remarks.
If she got one from Pops-Sickle then definitely
But what would spooks be like in IKAG?
>spooks
For the sake of clarity, are we talking about:
1. ghosts
2. government agents
3. black people
Government agents.
I'm putting together a comprehensive reference. Anything else that should go on it?
like what pics of marley we thing define her look?
That, or any important details missing from the existing refs.
There. Anything else?
you forgot the cheeseburger.
There probably is something.
I guess the beetle drones won't be a thing until later though.

How to I.D. a Pop-up
>Check their eyes.
>>If one is using a PSI ability, their irises become like white pearls in appearance.
>> Pop-ups have a 70% chance of getting an energy-type power with a unique color; when using such a power, their eyes will glow.
>>If using a vision ability, their sclera becomes black while their irises become the color of their energy power.
The reason why vampires have no reflections in mirrors and don't show up in film photos is because both of those have silver in them. Silver being an evil repelling metal seems to have been dropped from vampire myths, but not werewolves. That just leaves a weird hole in vampire lore.
Would a vampire have a reflection in a looking pool? Would about digital recordings and photos?
Would that be how our vampires see their reflections? The Blue Bloods all have at least one reflecting pool in their various cursed abodes to make sure they don't have any hairs out of place. That'd be an interesting way to kill a vampire if you can reflect the sunlight off of the reflecting pool using a series of mirrors.
Good night, hope the thread lives.
Me too. I just had the realization that it is June and I'm really glad I do those weekly recaps so I have a way to remind myself of what is generally happening in the threads for the updates to the yearly recap I've been neglecting to keep updated.
Keep it up and at the same time take it easy.

Goodnight everyone. I'm also retiring until morning now.
LE BUMP SAYS BONJOUR!
MONSIEUR!
But did he ever finish his encounter with LB, JH and CD?
The world may never know.
Also, these greentexts made me realise why I like that hypothetical trio together so much: they all have certain traits that allow any two members of that group to find common ground against the last one.
>Jack and Crackdown want to keep Ladybug's campy brand of heroism in check
>Crackdown and Ladybug treat Jack as a bit of a simpleton because he obviously isn't as much of a tryhard about being a hero as them (even though they go about it in different ways)
>Jack and Ladybug oppose Crackdown's way of doing things for what I assume are pretty obvious reasons
It really feels like it wouldn't take much to make them bounce off of each other.
In addition, these very reasons are also why any one of them can be a straight man depending on the situation.
I feel like Jack could be just as campy if he felt like it.
Yeah, that one's a bit of a stretch, but it still feels like this isn't usually the case
Ladybug and Crackdown are both pretty smart while Jack is closer to average intelligence range, as well.
"LE BUMP NEVER FORGETS!"
>"Ah!" Ladybug exclaims, snapping her fingers. "There was Whisper! The guy who appears as soon as you think about him!"
>"Yes," Whisper says, "I was there, but you missed me because Cookie covered your eyes."
>Everyone pop their eyes open at the sight of the cloaked humanoid creature made of light, floating a couple of feet from the floor.
>Suddenly, Crackdown's leg appears again and he, Jackhammer, Tammy and Lila tumble down over each other.
>"What the–" Ladybug says, before being interrupted by Whisper.
>"I hope you college kids won't burn this encounter in your mind" he says. "I'm not too keen on appearing in the middle of a classroom."
>He flies around Ladybug, who twists on herself as she tries to follow him.
>"Nice power suit, and the way you acquired it is quite interesting. And what do we have there?"
>He dashes toward the group lying on the floor, then he floats closer to Crackdown slowly.
>The latter props himself up and shields Lila with his arm as Whisper approaches, but as the being of light gets at a small enough distance from him...
>"AAAAAAAHH!!!"
>Crackdown slaps his hands on Whisper's face, who jumps high in the air.
>"Relax!" the latter says. "They can't see your face!"
>"Who are you!?" Crackdown exclaims, as the others rise from the floor. "Why do you look just like me!?"
>"She doesn't!" Lila says. "I mean, he– I see a girl who looks just like me, even if she has no face! What do you see, Tammy?"
>"I see a beautiful girl!" she answers.
>"Whooa!" Jackhammer exclaims with a big smile as he stares at Whisper.
>"Miss Carver had the right intuition" Whisper says. "I appear only as a reflection of your subconscious. Now then..."
>He points his finger at Crackdown.
>"You" Whisper says. "You possess a tremendous power! A real nasty one!"
>Crackdown clenches his fists and glares at Whisper.
>"What do you know about it?" he asks bluntly.
>"I know that when I look at your face, I only see a black abyss" Whisper says. "And it stares back..."
>Whisper averts his gaze from him and stares at the floor, deep in his thoughts.
>"That settles it" Tammy says, nudging Lila with her elbow. "This Crackdown here is the very picture of Arthur!"
>Crackdown turns back abruptly, looking from Tammy to Lila.
>The latter stares at him like she was putting two and two together, with her cheeks becoming red.
>"Arthur Braun?" Whisper says, catching everyone's attention.
>Then he turns to Crackdown
>"So this Arthur knows your true identity! That's why you acted so nervous when this girl mentioned him!"
>Crackdown flinches.
>"W-What are you talking about?"
>"No use pretending, I can read your mind" Whisper says. "You saved Arthur from some thugs, but in the process he got to look at your face!"
>Crackdown stares at Whisper for a second, then he says:
>"What if he did?"
>"Then the Collective can reach you through him. I can get a hold of him with what I've just learned from these other people's minds."
>A scowl visible through his mask appears on Crackdown's face.
>"Suppose I don't want anything to do with you or your Collective. What would you do then?"
>"You might not have noticed," Whisper says, "but I'm trying to help you here. There's no need to be suspicious."
>"Excuse me?" Ladybug asks. "You can take him with you for all I care, but we need help!"
>Whisper turns to her.
>"Ah, ok. But I hope it won't take long, because now I really have to go–"
>"DON'T SAY THAT!" Ladybug shouts, making a double stop sign with her hands.
>"LE BUMP WILL GO ON!"
But what if Whisper knows the true identity of Le Bump? Does he come right of the computer screen?
>Arthur is so self-loathing he can't help but hate the being that assumes the appearance of whoever is observing it
Accurate.
>Whisper takes on the face of the observer, but sees the source of their power instead of their face
Interesting take.
As a being of pure psychic energy, it stands to reason that it would be able to detect any abnormalities within human minds, even the ones that have woven themself deep into subconsciousness.
There has to be a reason why Arthur can still perceive within the environment of pure nothingness while the other minds plain shut down, after all. Maybe it has something to do with his inner squabbles as well?
Bump!
Yeah, OK.
Does Blimbo count as /coc/ thing?
Speaking of drawpiles: during the last couple of them, there's been some discussion about retconning Crackdown living in Los Palos that I sadly forgot to bring into the thread itself.
It'd be a very soft kind of a retcon, since it's supposed to be a neighbouring town (close enough geographically for Arthur to still attend the Los Palos Uni via public transit to leave that part of his story unchanged), but still separate enough to him and Ladybug to not bump elbows on a regular.
It can also be used to establish a more fitting environment for him, since there's a clear clash between Arthur's grittiness and Los Palos' status as a gentrified haven.
There's been some theorycrafting done on that hypothetical town, I can provide bulletpoints if any of that sounds interesting.
Would that be a good idea or is it too contrived?
It's a Cinemaphile-driven thing, is it not? If so then I don't see why not.
Stuff like Stargaze and Stella and the MM have pages on the wiki.
It could be a good idea. He's not living the dorm, so start with a reason for that.
A job or feelings of shame.
>a reason for that
In my mind, his father actually provided him with an entire apartment in Los Palos all to himself while he was in his care, but that was no longer an option (or at least that's what Arthur thought) once he flunked out of college.
Deciding that he won't be able to afford even the most frugal of dwellings in the college town itself, he instead relocated to the neighboring one with way lower rent since crime is rampant there and the authorities can't be assed to do anything about it.
So he lives in the crime hole to satisfy his desire to beat up criminals. Can he just... crack teleport between cities?
>so he lives in the crime hole to satisfy his desire to beat up criminals
Well, that was obviously not his intention initially, he just needed an affordable place to stay.
If anything that place birthed his desire to beat up criminals, not the other way around.
>can he just... crack teleport between cities?
That stuff is less of a teleportation and more of a *very* unpleasant dimensional shortcut.
There's a good reason why he doesn't use it if he can help it: being in a plane where the reality is at its thinnest for any real ammount of time is suffocating in every sense of the word.
Think about it like swimming in the ocean: hiding within a single orifice for Arthur is like him keeping his head slightly below water while trying to come out of the different one is like deliberately plunging into the deepest part of it.
Doesn't he hide inside the cracks regularly though?
He does, but it's different from travelling to come out of the other one since he has to delve deeper.
Yet he chooses to spend a lot of time down there to escape from people.
The often neglected part of Arthur's character is that he actually wants to change. He doesn't want to keep living as he is now.
And you can't really get better at people-stuff by hiding in some abyss of pure, platonic nothingness, sadly.
>JackHammer = Sonic
>Crackdown = Shadow
Think about it.
Since the thread just died, I was going to post some art of a OC from the "Mary sue gets a clue" thread.
Kitty-
>She’s the daughter of Sultr the King of the dark Empire,
>she’s a mage that uses dark arts
>She has chaotic little she beast, half Sultr half something else no one knows
>The youngest in her family, making her a bit bratty but she's also quite cunning and sadistic
Hope you guys enjoy honestly coping my thread died so fast plus always wanted to try posting here
Another sketch of the gremlin mage
>"Mary sue gets a clue"
I'm not familiar with this.
One of Sabrina Cotugno's failed cartoon pitches about a dyke knight that Cinemaphile decided to appropriate likeCinemaphile did with GVH
It's a thread, lowkey similar to this but based on a dead pilot. It died whilst I slept I wasn't the same afterwards. We try to make it more monthly it's still fairly new only 4 threads under it's belt but we've had some good ideas and lore building.
>GVH
What's this???
>What's this???
A VN about anthro dino highschool drama that Cinemaphile parodied through Snoot Game and completely blew out of the water.
It was also made using canadian taxpayer money
Ah damn heard about this one, wasn't the real game like 1000x worse than the fanmade or i guess chanmade
Heh isn't Cinemaphile just video games?
> Heh isn't Cinemaphile just video games?
Cinemaphile is even less about video games than Cinemaphile is about comics and cartoons.
Huh I felt it was only about video games if about the generals
The gross furry dino dating sim. Naturally nuCinemaphile would go for such a thing.
Ngl, goblin girls are cute.
That they are though she's not goblin, but was one of the many ideas I had as I drew her. Maybe she's secretly half gobbo
My bad, and if she was half goblin she get it from her mother's side probably.
That she would, but who wouldn't want a gobbo wife even a demon king
Depends. Regular gobins and coom goblins are very different creatures. Warhammer and Goblin Slayer goblins don't even have females, for example. Warcraft goblins DO have females, but they'd be to a very particular taste.
True, but I just assume it's the sexo kind.
>Also I mean WoW canon fem gobbos ain't that bad just not the super thicc busty shortstack sex symbol.
If it's goblin girls based off 20pesosSopa art style than yeah who wouldn't pass.
>fat little bashful green elf with mile-long ears and barely even a hint of nose
Oh yeah, classic coom goblin
Damn that's quite breedable, I try not to portray her too thicc, to avoid her becoming pure sexo. But honestly hey to be one of the many wives of a ruler of a evil empire her mom had to put in some work.
For me, it's grimgrim
>grimgrim
Damn nice, so many gobbofrickers now
Page 10? Why!
Because no one is posting and we don't currently have a solid discussion topic to guide the thread.
How did you guys usually form one?
Usually someone comes up with a character interaction and if it's interesting, a story forms around how that might've happened.
Or someone draws/writes something new.
Or hornyposting.
I’m doing a music animation storyboard for Conrad and Newman
i recently like a song so it’s on repeat till i get done (probably next week cause i have work all weekend)
>/coc/ animatics
Surprised this isn't more of a thing, honestly.
The thread is still up.
Tomorrow's thread will likely be made late since it'll be Father's Day and I'm going to visit my granddad.
Understood, I was going to post something too but today is my parents anniversary and then Father's Day tomorrow. My hands are full sadly but see you in Monday or Tuesday on the next thread.
Is it something Father's Day related.
If you mean the post, no sorry. But I hope everyone has a happy Father's Day anyway.
Thanks you too.
I've heard ladybug a few times this thread, so are we allowed to use established characters like au stuff or is she something different???
The Lovely Ladybug is a Cinemaphile creation that predates Miraculous by a few years. However, /coc/ does sometimes include things derivative of licensed characters, like Doomzula, Honeybee, Stella and the Metal Men, etc.
Huh interesting, never knew just know honeybee. Honestly probably because I've never seen her with her own thread. Also love the art reminds me of gurihiru. Hmmm so it's a bit free movement sounds fun, I might come in for the next one or if this one sticks around. Also looks fun I must now hyper fixate and learn lore.
Ladybug rarely gets her own dedicated threads like Honeybee or Golden Girl do, but every now and then there's a storytime. I think it has been a while, though. The main comics are hosted on tapas.
https://tapas.io/series/The-Lovely-Ladybug/info
Oh wow so they have actual comics! that's actually crazy, I do want to see more of them so I'll check it out. Honestly thought like the majority it's just for fun or just fricking around but guess it's a real thing.
So I've been doing some anime watching[spoiler] and came across something that might be interesting for the JackHammer anons. For Aoko, there actually is a word for Blue Moon in Moonspeak, it's "Sōgetsu" or "Sougetsu". I don't remember if that's ever been brought up, and thought that would add an extra layer to her background.
