this show actually has 20 good seasons it's insane. it's definitely dropped off in quality from the s3-8 maybe 9ish days but it's still funny.
It's impressive how outside of a few character tweaks (mostly Klaus) a season 2 episode is almost interchangeable with a season 15 one. Normally characters get complete overhauls or dynamics between them change drastically, like Family Guy evil baby going to super gay baby and dogbert saying things humans say to dogs (because get it he's a dog) turning into a uninformed political moron.
Only thing I'd say is that Francine has gone from being a trad housewife to basically being Roger whenever they can't work him into the scene.
Flanderization has always been a problem in comedy TV, especially animation, but it's shocking how restrained they've been with AD. That they even make funny episodes now at all is impressive, with it being like 20 years in at this point.
One episode even had Stan replace her as Roger, who was sick.

From pretty early on, the characters have varied wildly from episode to episode. And that’s every character.
Sometimes Francine is a trad housewife, sometimes she goes to Seaworld to punch a dolphin in the face. Sometimes Stan is ultra conservative, others he gets his butthole bleached.
I don't think it has dropped in any fricking quality whats so ever. Hell I would go as far as to say its gone up in quality. Even the worse episodes in some seasons still get a good laugh out of me, idk how they do it bros.
but family guy was just simpsons but more television references and the baby is evil.

I have been exposed to American Dad solely through youtube highlight clips and my verdict is that it's pretty funny. It's also a little edgier than the other shows.
Anyone that thinks AD is not the superior show to gayily Guy either hasn't seen AD or is just a gay.
