You probably shouldn't watch it because it'll be the greatest thing you ever watch and then it'll be over. No sequels or anything. You can always watch other movies with Russell Crowe, I suppose.
It's sad that you haven't seen a movie about your own people. The brainwashing is working well.

The Life Aquatic is good but it's also a Comedy so I'll never say it's better than Master and Commander. This is what I'd tell people to watch if they wanted more boat kino.

The Far Side of the World is just the name of one of the books:

If you like the movie there is good news. There are more books in the series that you can stand to read.

So they should just pick another one. They all sound pretty good. If there was going to be another one then they should just adapt the last book because my only problem with Master and Commander was the ending; It wasn't satisfying and it left you wanting more.

I don't think so. I think Master and Commander needed to be like 3 hours and then it would have felt more epic.
I doubt anyone here has watched pic related but it's long to the point where it feels like you've watched someone's entire life and I wish Master and Commander were like that. M&C is like watching one moment in a great man's life and not his whole life.
Lord of the Rings? Three movies. Nolan Batman? Three movies. Master and Commander has one. It wasn't enough.

      >has Cinemaphile always been a reflection of irl tendencies?
No. The problem with Cinemaphile is it became more normal because every generation has spent more time on the internet compared to the last so being an online weirdo is now normal. That's why you'll see Cinemaphile opinions in real life now.

from what I've seen throughout the years memes happen in Cinemaphile first (maybe they get here from somewhere else idk), then some youtube/tiktok/instagram makes them mainstream

Yeah, exactly. People have their personality formed on Cinemaphile they parrot the opinions somewhere else. It could be Youtube, Reddit, Twitter, whatever, but the idea originated on Cinemaphile.

oldgay here, 4ch*n has always been a prime exporter of Internet culture even since the early days. The other big meme exporter used to be the Something Awful forums. Although keep in mind we didn't call them memes back then, that name didn't come around for a while, they were just demotivational posters. Also "trolling" wasn't just a word used to disagree with someone or to label someone acting moronic, it used to be a whole planned out ruse that you baited someone into
Sometimes people here recycle memes from other places though
