I'm convinced they exist to give a bad name to all conservationists or environmentalists. It just makes the whole field look stupid, and ultimately people don't even want to help with practical things like pollution or dying species.
I remember Al Gore trying to cope that his prediction about New York flooding went wrong. He posted footage of Ground Zero flooding during a major storm as though it were some sort of vindication that heavy rain (SHAUN!!!) and storm surge flooded a hole in the ground in a coastal city built on a low-lying island.
>An Inconvient Truth >Extremely convenient for increasing government control >Is also a lie
ok
Gore being stupid doesn't make the science wrong. E.g. brainlets have the delusion (like Gore) that the sea level rises IN ALL places at the same time.
NASA has satellite imagery that proves it rises at the predicted amount on average but it's very uneven globally so most big cities don't notice it locally.
The moon exists at all years, and they notice a sea level rise on average through the years so it can't be the moon doing it.
Judging from the images: it appears the bulk of it is in the middle of the Pacific where nobody would notice it on a beach.

Environmentalists always pull the same moronic maneuver. They want to get people to care about the environment and be eco friendly, but actual change is slow and boring. Still bad, especially in the long run, but they're afraid it won't rile up the couch potatoes. So they exaggerate and forecast the apocalypse in 10 years unless you stop using plastic straws. And it works for a bit on the youth, who are the most concerned with how the world is gonna turn out because they're gonna have to live in it the longest, but then time passes and the apocalypse doesn't come and those former young people become disillusioned with environmentalism, maybe even actively dislike it. And then environmentalists start beating the same drum again and the cycle repeats.
The saddest part is that anyone who points out how many times they've been wrong in the past 50 years is immediately labeled a "braindead conservative". Though to be fair, real climate scientists are partly to blame for not calling out the grifters
I like the environment, I just hate environmentalists >Dude shutting down nuclear powerplants is totes a good idea and totally won't just keep fossil fuel companies in business for another 100 years >Dude I found this totally environmentally conscious laptop company that makes their computers out of like 10% bamboo and is carbon neutral because they say so on the box. What do you mean "buy used"?
Every environmental problem has viable and practical solutions, and many are reversible. Except this one. It's presented in the most catastrophic terms, with zero practical steps to recover from it, never directed to the biggest violators, and only attacks average citizens with tax schemes.
pretty accurate with the gas prices in California
but that has nothing to do with "Global Warming"
God why is that 00s style of editing so fricking insufferable?
I don’t know man, but i think it’s groovy
They have literally been doing this shit since the 70s, just move the goalposts

>uneven sea level rise
Could that be somehow related to the moon?

land is also rising in a lot of places
Oh yeah that's also true. If you flood your garden, the soil won't stay totally flat as it were.
Rebound from the ice age.

Don't forget the snow on Mt. Kilimanjaro "melting in 10 years"
Kino though.
There is significantly less snow than there used to be
SHAUN!

Meanwhile, they outsource manufacturing to shitholes whose environmental regulations would horrify even a Libertarian.

So has literally everything this movie said was going to happen not happened?
More or less. And people are getting bored of Carbon, so now it's Nitrogen time. It's like film generas.
Why do right wingers hate the environment so much
because the environment hates us. only cucks let nature push them around.
They love warm weather, that's why they're all in Florida decomposing. Too bad for patricians who enjoy the snow, the cold and the chill.
I like the environment, I just hate environmentalists

Don't forget their anti-wool anti-leather agenda as they dress in plastic cloth.
Which will break down and end up quickly into more waste. A good leather, wool lined coat will last a lifetime and even get passed down a generation.
>environmentally conscious laptop
Those are the worst. "fairphone" customers have to have sub 80 iq
Not believing in medical science awarded Rush with a gorgeous lung cancer that retired him permanently.
>bodily humors cause fluxations in the ether
>science says lobotomy is only cure
