The adult part isnt as good as the kids part but it still could be saved and they were nearly there but they couldnt find anything interesting for them to do because they already had their key flashbacks and revelations in the first one.
Adding lots more scenes of the kids is what hurt it. No time for the adults to do anything meaningful. The movie was mostly just a string of individual, meaningless clown scares followed by the same ending as the first film.
There are some scenes which are pretty good and the cast was likable but they went too goofy and relied on the meme of pennywise. The bridge scene and the little girl behind the benches was more in line with what makes Pennywise scary. He just becomes a less successful Willy Wonka when confronting the Losers.
The only way you can do this shit is through animation.
You'll never get the right actors, child and adult, and a director capable of portraying the abstract shit that occurs in some parts.
Its obvious the directors thought they could write something better than King. Thats why they changed how Pennywise scares people because they thought the classic monsters were too old fashioned. That painting scene in the first one is trash and basically signalled how the sequel would be.
it's the only emotionally significant part of the book. it really expresses the bond between the crew. without the gangbang it all quite literally falls apart.
Was waiting for the resident pedo to post this.
It's the worst part of the book. Literally knee caps it

Its about leaving behind the trauma of childhood and maturing into adults; leaving behind that amorphous fear in order to take on the challenges of the world...... I still think King could have done in a more subtle way tho.
>How do we do this book justice on screen?
gotta have the gangbang scene in, unsimulated. otherwise it just won't be true to the books and it'll feel cheap.
It pisses me off that they keep making the same mistake, which is to split it in two films/tv movies, one with them as kids and another mostly with them as adults. That's incredibly stupid because once they get to the 2nd part the viewers already know what the adult characters forgotten, they know what to expect so it's just boring.
The book succeeded because it mixes the past events with the present ones, it keeps readers guessing about what happened in the past till the very end. It will never work as a movie, it has to be a tv show with at least 10 episodes and it should follow the book's structure as close as possible.
Idk, I'm not going to do their work for them. It can't realistically be 1:1 to the book, but as long as they keep things like the interludes on Derry's history I would be happy.
Idk im pretty scared of clowns and very aroused by clown girls
so a very hot creepy clown girl would be my undoing
Watch Dark Crystal Age of Resistance and send Netflix your hate
The first one was a based movie and probably one of the best of the last 5 years. The second was troony garbage and they probably could have gotten away with not making it and leaving it off with them as kids.
They fricked "It" up. Get it?
no, please elaborate
wait for the reboot in 40 years. Don't get too emotionallly invested into a clown book adaption being shit.
enjoyed the first one. the second one was just... ? it felt like a bunch of crap was filmed and glued together in editing.
Keeping the spirit of the original
I think the problem is that the adult part of the story is just not very good or interesting. The concept is there, but the execution...eh

>same ending as the first film.
It really was a let down that they followed the same formula as the tv minseries. They even copied the ending of the first half.

>It part II
No such thing exist, It is kino tho.
They did it justice in 1990 now frick off zoomer
I like the movie but let's be frank it's just 90s tv trash
Subtract the nostalgia and the modern it is a much better horror movie
We need a a 10 hour series with little webisodes or bookends which just consists of Mike talking about Derrys history.
They pussied out by not doing the Ritual of Chud. Would have made it kino
They couldn't show a school shooting in cinema

They can; they did.
>That scene with the Mummy
still creepy
the whole thing falls apart without the gangbang
someone post the gangbang cast interview

It's the cocaine

you don't even have to film it, just go to your nearest middle school and look through kid's phones and you'll have all the footage you need
i'd really rather not. everyone under the age of like 24 here is an obese goblin beaner.

How do we portray the chapter from IT's point of view?
just change it to IT reminiscing about how he wishes he were part of that gangbang.

As a kid I liked all the different monster scenes where the different Derry kids get killed, now what I love most are those history interludes.
Same here, brother.

>adaption
is this a real word? every time i hear it my autism goes crazy cause people arent saying adaptation
it's real yes
It needs to be an x rated mini series
