No way. Women change the whole dynamic of a friend group. I have both male and female friends and the vibe and flow are two completely different beasts. Not going to say which is better they both have pros and cons. But this show is successful in a huge part due to the male friendship group adding a woman would break its greatest quality.
But the show sucks now anyways so sure they can keep breaking it who cares at this point.

I think 5th main character is too much, and would have spoiled the group dynamic. But I could see her occupying a space between supporting character and main character and it working out ok. Where she is friends with them, but doesn't hang out with them all the time because she prioritizes her girl fiends. Maybe have her on the adventure 3-4 episodes a season as a temporary 5th member.
The only way I can see a girl being a full time 5th member of the boys without ruining things is if it were a hardcore tomboy most of the boys at school mistake for a boy.
