What's the big deal? It's not like they're being executed for going 2 minutes over their opium break. Have these libtards never heard of the Overton Window?
No, it's a work of fiction and I was too busy working to cover a deposit for my second home. How's your attempts at getting on the property ladder going anon?
Yes. Gen Xers are the biggest capitalist shills when it comes to others but they piss their pants whenever they have to deal with capitalism themselves.
Gen X was the first generation born to, and “raised” by, a generation brought up to revel in hedonism, the destruction of the nuclear family, the elimination of stable and rewarding work and the abandonment of the pursuit of excellence.
They were basically left to their own devices as both parents worked and played and rarely took part in the creation of a stable household.
Part of this resulted in Gen C rejecting corporatism (See the book ‘No Logo’, a thriving ‘alternative’ scene in music and movies etc).
But just as our parents, the Boomers, fell to ‘greed is good’ so too they have dragged us into their moronation. And the boomers are still in control of this world.
You think we’re ’capitalist shills’ when in fact we spearheaded the last great rebellion against capitalist, corporatised media control.
And when the boomers finally fricking die most of their power and resources will skip Gen X and end up in the hands of people like you. It’ll be interesting to see how you’ll use that power to make things better, because frick knows yhe post-Gen X generations have done literally nothing of value at all so far.
>a movie about the dangers of consumerism and trivialization of societal involvement of men aged horribly

Gen X here. The problem was stagnating at your job. We were comparing ourselves to the Boomer generation in that they can stay in one company and get gradually promoted based on seniority. By the 90s, this became less common because the Boomers didn't want to leave and pulled up the ladder. It was the beginning of the end of being loyal to the company you work at, especially as vulture capitalists took control of mom and pop companies.
My first job was delivering mail in an office, and then I was “promoted” to data entry clerk. It literally felt like the 13th grade. An 8 hour shift felt like a week. The politics, everyone gossiping behind everyone’s back, and the constant looming fear of layoffs made me snap. I ended up striking up a conversation with the night security guard and when he told me that he basically just walks around not doing shit, listening to music and flirting with cleaning ladies (some of them were young and cute), damned if I didn’t go get my guard card and start working security. But then THAT sucked. So I got my real estate license and THAT sucked. Luckily I got hit by a drunk driver while driving a limo and I’m living off disability. In the process of making it permanent. Are there no good jobs out there? Is everything just supposed to suck?
At least we had movies heh
>dude, just constantly watch the horrifying consequences of car crashes and their victims!
The narrator truly had a dream job.
Why do zoomers want to wage so much?
Dont call it a grave
the real jihad was literally, unironically the friends they made along the way
>be freedom fighter
>actually fight for your own enslavement

Not as cringe as changing the image hash and posting this over and over.
No, we were way too busy getting laid to worry about any of that shit. You know how it is, right?
Right..?
There are no examples of this trope other than Office Space and Office Space goes out of its way to tell you their jobs are not stable.
