You missed a lot. Humans are now being controlled by music, that trigger flies that live inside of them, who in turn are being controlled by parasites. Also, Ed Harris is there.

        >Humans are now being controlled by music, that trigger flies that live inside of them, who in turn are being controlled by parasites.

Can you elaborate? So a normal human being now has flies living inside him or her? And these flies are being controlled by some kind of parasite?
Why? How? What does it even do?

evil robots created synthetic nanite parasite goo. the goo gets eaten by the flies who are infected with the nanites. the flies are then controlled to go into humans through eyes/ears/nose etc into the brain. there the nanite parasite goo takes over humans, which are controlled through frequencies

            Anonymous

Why not have people eat the goo instead? Do the flies perform brain surgery?

because they don't control the food supply
it's much easier to just have a swarm of flies go after someone and infect them

Ah right. So basically have a swarm fly through windows, crawl through cracks, floorboards, chimneys etc. while a person is sleeping. Then burrow inside that person's head. Quite nightmarish.

the 1920s and Revolution parks this episode were pretty fun though. Some nice callbacks. Also remember, this is based on the original source material, Westworld (1973) and Futureworld (1976) as well as the tv series Beyond Westworld (1980).

Why didn't they just do 2 or 3 seasons about the Park? That was literally the only good part of the show, as soon as it was about the robots leaving the park it was dead.

Did you miss where Maeve (black woman) tells Caleb that the revolution is just another park? It's an experience the guests can have. Basically Halores (black woman) recreated the revolution as a storyline acted out with fly-controlled humans and/or hosts.

Also I think the woman in Bernard's (black man) timeline is Caleb's daughter (black girl) just grown up. Probably Caleb's wife (black woman) passed away and Bernard (black man) has been in the Sublime (Matrix) for decades.

      I think the timelines are:
      >1) Caleb and Maeve in 1920s park
      >2) Christina in Futureworld
      >3) Bernard and Stubbs in the the far future real world

Bernard has been in the Sublime and he has seen all possible paths, in all of which the world is destroyed, bar one. We don't know yet if some of the storylines we are seeing are different timelines or just different time periods. Season 4 brought back a lot of the mystery of season 1.

We have Christina (Evan Rachel Wood) who seems to be in a Futureworld park but could also be in a simulation of possible events. We just don't know anything yet.

This is absolutely wrong, because MIB flat out mentions "8 years ago" in the very first season of Season 4. Then after that Maeve and Caleb keep referring to season 3 having been "7 years ago." And Bernard comes out of the Sublime DECADES after his Season 3 ending, because during that time a tree has FULLY grown by the motel him and Stubbs were staying in. It's at least 3 timelines:

          >MIB in the S4 opening
          >Maeve & Caleb
          >Bernard & Stubbs

The only unknown factor is Christina, who could be in any of those time periods, or in a completely different one

              >0 evidence
I literally mentioned the evidence. There was a small tree in the season 3 which during the season 4 scene has grown to a huge tree. There is zero indication that Bernard and Stubbs are in the same time period as Maeve and Caleb. Besides which, the black woman that is with Bernard is very likely Caleb's daughter over a decade older.

Then there is still Caleb's daughter. Suspicious how they refuse to mention that character's name. Caleb and Maeve did something that years later, Bernard and Stubbs and Caleb's daughter will make use of to save the world

Yeah, but it's silly to just dismiss the idea of there being several time periods, when so far none of the main 3 stories (Christina + Maeve + Bernard) have intersected and there are clues toward separate periods.

                Stubby says "years", not decades.
Then mentions he was told not to disturb anything by Bernard himself.

It probably is the multi-timeline stuff again, as Crow Man in the Sublime suggests with folded paper of times stacked on each other.

That's not Futureworld. That world is part of the sublime and got turned into a mental prison for the fly controlled humans. Christina unknowingly has creative control over that world and get's manipulated into writing the humans storylines to keep them occupied/locked in. The tower is the tonal machine, according to the homeless guy only he and the birds can hear it's music. The homeless guy is a human trying to resist mind control while the birds are the flies in the real world. In one of Christina sequences you could see dead birds conveniently lying in front of the olympiad building right after the fly controlled senator's wife died in the real world.

The show is actually very different each season, usually people say "beating a dead horse" when a show stays stagnant instead of progressing. Westworld has always progressed its plot very far each season and made big changes in terms of setting and genre.

            This sounds good

Season 3 is basically Minority Report/Person of Interest meets Terminator. They have two powerful AI constructs that can predict future events, called Solomon and Rehoboam. Dolores kills a bunch of humans and replaces them with hosts, including installing her fake Hale (Halores) in Delos. Maeve was in Naziworld (which was actually the Matrix) and Dolores gets killed (forever) taking out Rehoboam. The other Dolores pearl that became Hale still exists though but has evolved to a point where she is more of a blend between Dolores and Hale and cannot really be fully seen as Dolores. MIB went to therapy and was then seemingly killed (but not really as we find out in S4) and several host versions of him were created

            This sounds shit

3 is like a weird side plot about a totally separate computer AI that secretly runs society. It feels like you could remove it completely with almost no effect on any overall story.

If I had to make a safe guess, Dolores is inside a Robohom back up, creating simulations for herself and using real stories of people to make them, and those simulations are waking up to their fake reality. the radical guess is that Dolores is living in the far future trying to recreate the present in fake ecosystems. I would not be surprised if there is a time jump element. For the other characters, maybe the blond guy gets killed and replaced with an android and maize doesn't tell him or something. Also, they should just pick a young actor to replace Ford as a character. It would just be nice to have him around saying wise cryptic things even if Hopkins isn't up for it.

because it's a different park and they use park-appropriate hosts for each park. For example there was an Asian Armistice in S2 in Shogun World. Each park has its own hosts so that guests who visit several parks don't notice as easily that all the same stories are being played out and they just copypasta Sizemore's scripts. We've known this since S2. There was also a different host playing Maeve's role in S2 and in the S4 park

OG White Armistice was even with them when they went to infiltrate Shogun World, so they didn't do it because the actress was not available. She was right the frick there seeing her Asian version

Yeah Hybrid-MIB is the far future, we have not reached yet. S3 Human MIB went to therapy and then was killed after declaring he will save the fricking world. S4 reveals that Halores kept Human MIB alive after those events and keeps him as a prisoner. He will be the witness to humanity's final days. In addition Halores has created many Host-MIB copies. The Host MIBs in S4 are absolutely savage and peak Ed Harris kino so far.

OG Dolores died in S3 finale. She is dead for good. But a Dolores pearl is in Hale-Host so that Dolores-Hale has kind of become her own thing. S4 introduced a character named Christina, portrayed by Evan Rachel Wood who appears to be in a Futureworld park (maybe) and her daily routine mirrors Dolores. We don't know anything more yet, but Halores is still turning people (including the Vice President) into hosts with the help of MIB Host

I'm glad Cinemaphile doesn't write for HBO, because then Westworld would look like this:
                >every season Anthony Hopkins talks cryptically about human consciousness
                >every season takes place exclusively in Westworld
                >every season has a straight-forward plot without any mysteries
                >reuse the same routines over and over
                >the entire cast consists exclusively of white men and white prostitutes (this doesn't even make sense, who are the guests going to kill if there is only attractive white people???)
                >show stays stagnant and never does anything creative

we just don't want to see Maeve again. whatever charm Maeve had on S1 it was gone by S2.
And we want old (new) Dolores, not the abomination we had during S2-S3.
We want sweet Clementine, or even braindead Clementine. if they were going to make her badass Clementine, why not bring back Armistice?
I'm not even that bothered they left the park, but the villains are very weak and one-dimensional, I mean, Serac? Hale? bot MIB?

S3 doesn't have a single plot line worth a damn, and that was immediately clear from the start. S4 looks much more promising.
S3 has a lot of cool stuff like costume design and sets, that you can also find on S4, but you don't need to watch them in order, if that's what you're asking.

It's hilarious to me that the bug-eyed prostitute in the saloon always talking about rind exclusively picks prostitute roles in every movie, TV show and video game that she's in. She's most likely a former prostitute and can only "play"(relive) those roles.

yeah, that's what I mean with Rehoboam copy, it doesn't really matter if it's the original or not. but I don't see how that can be framed as a wtf moment.

Remember how Dolores died being hooked up to Rehoboam in S3 finale? What if Rehoboam's code got copied into her pearl somehow and that very pearl is now in Christina and she can somehow control everything when she realizes that? Just my theory but put it in spoilers anyways.

reminder that Christina said to herself "Please leave" when she was at the hospice, and the people actually left, and she was left with a "what the actual frick" face. they're definitely hinting at her being an unaware new Ford.

The Bernard/Stubbs timeline takes place WAY after The Caleb/Maeve storyline. The girl that picks Stubbs/Bernard up is Caleb's daughter. When we see Caleb in New York, it's from inside the server farm located in the hoover Dam, which is where Bernard is taking them to. (Imho) He'll reunite with dolores there and I'm guessing mabye Teddy will be there to thwart her "awakening" that Caleb brings with him.

Charlotte Goal is to control Human action and free will, the way is by getting the Humans to go to the new parks gather there data and be able to replace them with host but still be able to manipulate action as she fits. Human William is being kept alive so she can continue creating host of him. My guess is there is more than one William host. I also think there is multiple timelines happening.

But how much of a time period between Maeve and Bernards timelines?

        Anonymous

Maeve stated multiple times it's been 7 years since the S3 finale. MIB said in the very first scene of S4 that it's been 8 years. Stubbs simply tells Bernard he was gone for "years" without specifying, but a tree has grown very large next to their motel, so presumably over a decade.

20 or 30 year gap, if the black chick in Bernard's plot line is Caleb's daughter

No way she is in her late 30s or 40s. She looks to be in her 20s, so I would say the time gap is not bigger than 23 years.
