Season 5 would likely be set largely in 1987-1989 time period, what references can we expect?
I think we will definitely get a Top gun reference (maybe is steve survives, he could spoof tom cruise persona), this is also the period when soviets started to unravel, so we may see foreshadowing of soviet collapse too.
What else do you have in mind in terms of music, society, literature etc.?
GRUNGE to finally kill off the homosexualty pop shit
>grunge
...Was not even a blip on the radar in the 80's. Indie music consisted almost solely of REM and 10,000 Maniacs as far as the charts were concerned. They're going with recognizable nostalgia, not before-they-were-big stuff only a handful of people in the PNW are going to know.
Grunge literally is homosexual pop shit
Heaven is a place on earth when?
Mike looks like Anna Khachiyan now
love anna's long slender legs and petite body. have to bust now!
They could reference predator too.
I don't watch this but are these kids fricking each other yet?
also didn't they used to have a black?
>I don't watch this but are these kids fricking each other yet?
We may see sex scene between the two main leads (el and mike) in season 5 (non nude of course).
>also didn't they used to have a black?
He's still there, just not in this pic
>the two main leads (el and mike)
Mike actually still being a lead. Based still living in 2018 anon.
The casts now so big they have to put them in separate stories for 95% of the series so the blacks missing from that bit.
NONI IS SO WHOLESOME AND CUTE AND VALID!
me on the bottom left
They do that every season though. Then they all come together right before the big finale, come up with a plan and then split off again to to do the plan.
they're only high school freshmen in the show
they've been fighting off interdimensional monsters every year for 4 years in a row now
Mike outs Will after the painting of them kissing, and then the jocks beat him up
Why are they all so ugly
Millie is cute and Noah is pretty good looking
And both of their characters love Mike
Will comes out as gay, the gang goes to New York City to let Will indulge his new lifestyle. Gets a cold the next day. Thinks nothing of it. Eventually starts getting sicker. A month later he dies of GAY AIDS.
Many such cases
The '87 market crash
I think season 4 is the last one
Nope, duffer brothers have mentioned that there will be a season 5, and that will be the final season.
No. Season 5 and then a spinoff
Spinoff? On what?
The Duffers haven't said anything yet, not even to netflix or the cast. They said Finn Wolfhard guessed what it is. Go ask him
Something about Hawkins in the 1990s with an X-Files vibe
So "Mike and Will: The San Francisco years"?
>The Stranger Things creators confirmed that season five is indeed going ahead, in an open letter to fans published via Netflix in February. However, they also announced that series five would unfortunately mark the end of Stranger Things.
Hopefully it gets cancelled before then since the late 80's was a fricking dump. Or maybe they can all die of AIDS while listening to some shitty proto-gangsta hip hop.
Jesus Christ, I can imagine this piece of shit series getting a fifth season. Just why?
Because after a 3 year hiatus with Cinemaphile predicting no one would care s4 just became Netflix most watched English language production ever. Beaten only by squid game and some Spanish heist movie overall. ST and the promise of more ST to come is the only thing keeping their creditors back at this point.
It's pretty moronic that after all these years of trying they only have 1 successful original show, how are they this shit at making tv shows?
Their method seems to have been to throw an ass load of money at every vaguely good idea or anyone remotely famous who wanted to produce something with very little quality control.
Which is why even at the height of the pandemic when they were the biggest studio on earth they still made a net loss of billions and why their catalogue is barely worth looking at.
It's fricking unreal, you'd think with all the money they had been taking in they would steal some people from HBO or something to run their original programming department, and the money they spend on these shows is fricking stupid, 35mil per episode for stranger things, it's fricking insane game of thrones most expensive episode was only 8 million in comparison, how are they spend almost 5 times as much on every stranger things episode, if I was a share holder I'd be wanting to see heads roll after this level of wasted spending
Have you seen the movies they come out with? I thought the Ryan Reynolds time travel one was bad, but the latest one with Hemsworth and Miles Teller is unwatchable. It's like the old Netflix movies like Mute or Titan, 100% garbage
I just went onto Wikipedia to look up what movies they've made to jog my memory and holy shit look how many of these things they've produced, think Iv only seen the Irishman and the ballad of buster Scruggs
It's all straight to dvd caliber trash my dad watches when he's half asleep on the couch
It would have been better if the fourth season didn't have to deal with the moronic loose ends of season 3.
They had a human being dissolve in front of them, yet they weren't scarred by it at all.
the only things I remember from that period are the massive UK hurricane that destroyed loads of trees in my neighborhood, floods, and Moonwalker the movie.
I want they come to the future in the end of the show, some time travel would be cool
MIND FLAYER MANIACS IN DA HOUSE!
>current season has characters in 1986 Russia
>no Chernobyl disaster tie-in where the reactor explosion was actually a cover up for the Soviets opening another gate to the upside down
Granted there's two long episodes left, but it seems like the Russia arc is mostly over for this season.
>Russian arc
>>>>>>>>arc
Please.
the Russia D plot then
>they are corrupt!
>and incompetent!
>and they don't have ulterior motives, t-they just want to feed the beast!!
10/10 writing. Just like everything else season 4 touched.
TURTLEMANIA DUDES
Nancy and Jonathan literally murdered people in season 3 and they are somehow not disturbed about it
Nancy’s been getting Barb killed since season 1.
youre right but she stabbed a man to death
Who cares
Are the two standing in the front photoshopped? Shit they look so rough and hideous now.
Puberty was unkind to them
Who are these middle age people?
Why do Joyce and all of her children always wear flannel?
Final fantasy refrences. Even if its set summer of 87 they don't really care about exact time frame consistency as proven by the 3 point line being on the high school basketball court this court this season. Choas would be a fun final boss for the series
Having cable tv.
