What a sad life.

I read his book. At the height of his massive fame in the late 90's early 2000's he had the #1 movie and #1 tv show and he was a miserable pill head drunk. Everytime you watch friends and he makes a joke just remember he is dying inside.

Also interesting what kind of a drug addict he was. People like Andy Dick would drink, do drugs, then go out and sexually harass people and party. What did Matthew Perry do with all his addictions and all his money? He'd get high and play video games. You can make a 1:1 copy of a large amount of his life with a copy of Fallout 3, a 360, and some pills.

questions like that should wake you up to the fact that those kinds of things don't make people happy. It's why there are lots of poor nobodies that are happy. It's not just made up nonsense. Being rich and famous does not cause happiness. These actors are just normal people that got lucky in most cases and suffer all the problems of normal humans. From all that we know happiness comes from feeling like you have a purpose. Fucking your brain with drugs can stop that from even being an option.

        >These actors are just normal people that got lucky in most cases and suffer all the problems of normal humans.
        normal humans suffer from
        >have to go to work just to make ends meet
perry was rich for life the moment he signed on for Friends, plus I heard he was born rich any way.
        >may have a hard time finding a decent sexual partner
perry being famous meant he had the pick of the litter, he could have lots of women or one particularly hot one to keep, he had all the options.
money and sex are the two main concerns of normal people, until they have children, then that becomes the third concern. matthew perry had huge advantages in the first two concerns that make his life vastly different from that of a normal person. he had it OBJECTIVELY much easier than a normal person. being an actor who lands a license to print millions for the rest of his life, that's extreme, insane luck and normal people will never ever feel what it's like.

He said in the book his friend was going to try out for Channler or another show. He told his friend to do Channler but he chose the other show that failed. They stopped talking when he became famous. Two years later he talked to his ex friend and told him being rich and famous didn't fix his fucked up addict brain. He says multiple times in the book he would give up all the fame and money for not being a raging addict. He also said Bruce Willis was awesome and he never got over 1999 Neve Campbell dumping him because he was a drunk.

Cause.. thats not what addicts do..? Honestly people with self control, discipline and willpower can stop themselves before they develop a bad addiction problem. Theres no excuse for him, he was rich as fuck. He had no other stressors other than making fucktons of money from friends.
The whole Im an addict because its genetic and I cant stop its a disease bullshit always pisses me off. Even if you are a person who is predisposed to having substance issues, you have a choice. No one is holding a gun to their heads telling them to snort lines or die.

Bullshit, I have garbage self control and even though I used to drink regularly, one day I just stopped and the occasional drink never makes me 'relapse', I just had the one and stopped for another few weeks or months. Point is Matt said he'd be willing to give up financial success to go cold turkey like it was some big sacrifice but couldn't give up the drugs, the one sacrifice that would've actually saved him.

He was so full of shit.

I work with guys who any of them have a combination of, multiple divorces, drug addiction, baby mamas, depression, kids that hate them, and who are constantly broke.
But the difference between them and Matt Perry is that none of them are rich and none of them bitched as much about their life than Matt has because they know deep down that their current state is a culmination of past fuck ups that lead them to where they are today. They know it's their fault.
    >"Oh woe is me nothing is harder than being a rich celebrity with depression and a substance abuse problem!"
