You're not wrong. I think it was a pun or a song title or something like that. It was a cartoon aimed for boys, and they put 'kissy' in the title. So they wouldn't be caught dead watching it.
Given how well received Star Vs and Steven Universe was by co, it would have scored great over here. Just not with mods who go out of their way to try to force anything anthro into the "OMG it's furry, ban everything" category.
I've seen some art with some very obscure characters that was from this. The animation is beautiful, and greatly outclasses anything from Steven Universe and the like.
Basically the title comes from saying Christopher with a speech impediment or some other obstruction like a kid trying to say it with some teeth missing.

David Feiss was involved with this show for some reason, directing Season 2. He turned it into Ren & Stimpy.
Man, that's wild.
It's exceptionally hard to find thanks to music rights (???) but there's copies out there.
Feiss didn't really do much to improve the show but it's one of the more fascinating DiC cartoons.
God Season 2 was a curse that really shouldnt happened.
Might as well go crazy if you're forced to work on a shitty show.
The pilot of s1 was as good as you could get with the show.
