absolute kino, don't listen to this homosexual. It's budget seems cheap but it does a lot with the characters and plot.

      >movie's message ends up being exact opposite of its intended one
turns out eugenics is good actually when you need the best of the best to make sure your really important and expensive mission is a success

A quest of 1 man to frick up an entire mission because he was told he didn't have the right genetics to make it.

      >fricks up space mission because he thinks he deserves a place when he actuslly doesn't as evidenced by the fact he dies as soon as he gets there

Pro-affirmative action bullshit which is what's wrong with the world today.

      >homosexuals missing the point of discussing free will.

Free will doesn't real. We are all victims of the darkness that comes before.

He doesn't get any preferential treatment at all. He's judged entirely by his actions, that's not affirmative action, quite the opposite.

You're a jerk for spoiling the ending. That's literally what spoiler tags are for.

the climactic scene very clearly states the point of his character, you concluded wrong if your conclusion is different from mine (the correct one). whether or not you're able to accept it is irrelevant, sadly.

It's okay if you had a memory slip. It is normal as we age. Hell, I remember quite the few times where it's happened to me. It gets better, anon. What I would suggest, and what I've seen had some encouraging degree of success among the Alzheimer patients in the beginnig stage, is trying out some routine memory-strengthening exercises. There are all sorts of applications available out there nowadays.

                For israelites
The entire movie is about German eugenics
Every home was required to have a israelite burner for the weekly Holocaust
Every test for the space company was a israelite test
Even the movie title means 'frick the israelites'

He earned his place through blood sweat and tears while the person that thought he deserved greatness for existing gave up and incinerated himself. That's the opposite of affirmative action, it would've been even more apt if jude law was replaced by a Black person with an uppity attitude.

he was still on the brink of collapse during his physical exams and will be a liability up in space. the fact that he managed to hide his disadvantages doesnt mean that he overcame them. those eugenics requirements exist for a reason

Don't expect a lot of scifi special effects. Its an old fashioned dialogue heavy morality tale drama set in an interesting near future.

Its a good film; but its probably the most special effects light scifi film I've ever seen so just don't go in expecting 2001: A Space Odyssey.
