You know how everyone sucks off The Matrix for creating the late 90s indoor sunglasses & leather jacket techno look? Or how everyone sucked off Ryan Reynolds for finally making a rated-R superhero movie? or how Black Panther is the first black superhero on film?
actually I'm gay and my dick is small, 1997's Spawn had the first black super hero on film, but I don't recall it was rated R and it also lacked that late 90s goth fashion
>good action scenes >better pacing than the sequels >shitty special effects
It's a 6/10 kung-fu movie and surprisingly better than all the HK directors Hollywood movies
>90s techno >no quirky one liner bullshit between characters >excellent casting >vampirism is written into the story in a believable manner that doesn't go into /x/ tier edgy bullshit
I'd give it 8/10. It's up there with Raimi's Spiderman films in comparison to the capeshit that gets marketed these days.
special effects
c'mon man it was the 90s and superhero movies weren't taken seriously by producers. >better pacing
That's entirely because Snipes didn't want to do 2 and he was already going to court for tax evasion by the time he finished 3. The spin off teased by the after credits scene was kino. Too bad it never happened.
No moron, if Blade were made today it would be a different movie with a different script and different characterisation and full of painful quips for Stacy, ergo justifiably hateable no hypocrisy required.
Blade wasn't blackwashed nor were any of the characters in the movie, moron. Nobody would complain because it was pretty faithful to the source material (bar the hair style and clothing)
You're right that Blade's mentor wasn't him though, it was a black jazz musician, Whistler is a very minor character in the comics (gained more importance after the movies) and only appeared as actual mentor in the Spiderman animated cartoon from the 90s. I assume the writers from the movie thought Whistler has alaways been Blade's mentor due the cartoon
he refered to ryan reynolds exclusively as that cracker, and then he fricked the mom, sister, and gf of every white man on set, and refused to open his eyes until the director sucked his bbc. but Cinemaphile will tell you it's kino because they like that
What if vampire… but homie? What if friggin samurai… but homie?? What if anime and fighting games and metal shirts and smart human things but… friggin dumb animal moron homie?
>What if anime and fighting games and metal shirts and smart human things but… friggin dumb animal moron homie?
The leftists are gonna LOVE this. We’ve gotta tap into black nerd shit, not for black nerds but for leftists that think the existence of black nerds is the most noteworthy and remarkable shit ever. A black nerd movie with the tagline “Actually black people really like anime,” the leftists will go NUTS.
it kicks ass
Wesley Snipes kept his eyes open back then

Blade did it first.

>1997's Spawn had the first black super hero on film
oh really
>1994
meteor man was 93
Meteor Man is underrated af.
IIRC, the theatrical cut is rated PG-13 and the director's cut is rated R.

Also Morbius.
acting is terrible though
woke shit
Pretty cool movie
similar to the matrix, terrible sequels included
Second Blade was good though.
/misc/ kino
If Blade was released today you'd call it wokeshit and goyslop
well he does slap a pussy corrupt white cop around half the movie, he’d be fat and racist too if made today
It just proves how much of hypocrites you morons are
No moron, if Blade were made today it would be a different movie with a different script and different characterisation and full of painful quips for Stacy, ergo justifiably hateable no hypocrisy required.
seemed alright, his "dad" is white and his love interest is black, it wasn't a israelite's racial grievances 101 course
I'm glad it didn't. We could all agree that Blade was just the coolest instead of having to deal with all the inevitable baggage of bullshit.
if blade was released today it'd be a completely different movie. it would suck for sure
literally nobody complained about a black character being black
Blade wasn't blackwashed nor were any of the characters in the movie, moron. Nobody would complain because it was pretty faithful to the source material (bar the hair style and clothing)
Ironically there was a race-swap. Kinda. Whistler was entirely made up for the movie but Blade's comic mentor was also a black dude.
If I had to guess, the message back then was "harmony between races" and fears of the movie being written off as blaxsploitation.
Whistler exists in the comics since 1995 and he's white. He even appears in the Spider-man cartoon
Movie was from 1998
Damn, I was lied to on the internet.

Deus Ex looking homie killing vampire shits
how haven’t you seen this movie yet? Are you a third-worlder or a child?
Prequels were kino
it's pretty messy but fun. the MCU blade movie is going to suck balls compared to this.
>Muslim and gay
>He also has a daughter and there's a 99% chance she takes his place at the end of the movie
Kek it's going to be a disaster
>What am I in for?
a somber reminder to pay your taxes
t. pineapple boy
fun

>what am I in for
The best comic book movie of all times, hands down.
Disagreement gives you AIDS.
Unadulterated Kino
Some muthafrickas always be trying to ice skate uphill
What if vampire… but homie? What if friggin samurai… but homie?? What if anime and fighting games and metal shirts and smart human things but… friggin dumb animal moron homie?

Who would play him today, Idris Elba?
Michael Jai White
he's nearly as old as snipes
