Mostly character-driven drama. As well as some large-scale society stuff.
The supernatural aspect isn't explored very much. It's more of a "how would we react if this happened" kinda story.
    It's kino though.

      >character-driven drama
this is wrong. the characters just react to lindelof throwing shit at them. but morons confuse the lack of an actual plot for "character driven."

I've just finished Six Feet Under and I'm looking for pretty much the same thing. This sounds perfect.

What do I watch if I want more supernatural stuff tho? I'm trying to watch Manifest but the kid is just the worst.

Most supernatural stuff is just capeshit adjacent. Maybe Fringe? Only saw the first season of that though

Surreal depictions of people coming with things they'll never understand. Was my favorite show after sopranos for years. Also I went to high school with the black girl from season 2 jasmine brown. She's pretty hot for a darky.

hmmm.. id say true detective s1 is better than leftovers, but leftovers is a better series overall

both of those were actually written, have stories, characterization, points, conclusions, etc.

lindelof has never been able to write any of those.

This finishes though. Did you watch it?

yea, and no, it doesn't actually end. its slice of shitty life. its like a sitcom except only drama. a situational drama. a sitdram

Hard disagree. Thought it ended fine with its characters and story. Was there stuff they needed to cover after that? How would you have ended it?

if by "mad" you mean "knowing exactly how lindelof writes," then sure

Season 1 is hard to watch because everybody is just so miserable. The show becomes really great after that

Season 1 is the best written season, but 2 and 3 are still very good.

Justin is such a great fricking actor man. Crazy how he is one of the writers of Tropic Thunder

Justin Theroux being the best damn character of any drama. People seem to like the Matt episodes but Kevin is GOAT.
Season 2 shift seems weird at first but its really good. They fumbled what to to with the daughter / cult in third season though which is a shame

Probably the worst show Cinemaphile has tricked me into watching. It's fricking stupid, but midwits think it's profound. It was a money grab from whomever made Lost I think.

It builds over time. Gets lots of momentum as it goes on.
