        by what the Dip?

          > Toner heads.
Actone as a solvent is the name origin. Toons get high on, and addicted to, magic marker fumes. It's a fast evaporating solvent. The original "dip' from WFRR was a real world three part water, acetone, benzetone mix for cleaning the paint off plastic cells. It's literally the only thing that kills toon because of this. But like any other drug, the poisons in the doseage. Solvent fume use loosens the "nerves", which is the rough outline core of toon anatomy. Chronic use of solvent fumes undoes the core, and results in a tool going 'off model', ei. brain damage.

          > Unlicensed studios, and the sex trade.
All studios are licensed, inspected, and registered. We can't have millions of them running around, so penalties for "ink slingers" is akin to human trafficing. Just as traffic victims are slaves, so are "slings." (aka 'off licenses", 'paperlesses', 'ishons [from 'commissions']. The word of a sling is basically custom sex slavery, and can devolve into fetish art. A special RCMP/FBI squad known as 'NAVO' (no artisitc value/ obscenity) hunts down these off model makers.

          >J's
all toons have Js are middle names, because of Jay Ward. In WFRR, the J is the standard prefix of the toons copyright number. It's a Jim Crow style tracking system.

          >all toons natively speak Yiddish.

spray bottle full of dip, like an Indian acid attack.
          >Cinemaphile resident israelite

            >'ishons [from 'commissions
feel like just comms sounds more natural to say

              Anonymous

Maybe, but it might get comfused with communism.

              Also
              >toon on toon violence
A toon gets hired for something another wanted? The unemployed and jealous toon hires the White Hand to do a "brush up". It's throwing dip onto a toon, normally the face. The injured toon can go to a licensed artist at the studio, in which case they never look the exact same and their career suffers, or they go to a licensed "cleanup artist", who fudges records at a cost. It's an open secret the best of the cleanup artists were/are involved in the sex trafficing industry.

              >the White Hand
The 1890s/1920s saw Sicilian immigrants (Scicily was European Haiti) form Black Hang gangs. Black Hand was also a business model. The black was the color of death and darkness. White, being the blank page, is the same for tunes. Need extra work? Need a loan? Want to frick proto-type Betty Boop? The white hand can make that happen. Tumor has it Disney got big because of his white hand connections. Felix never bent his morals... you'll notice Felix also doesn't wear white gloves, unlike Mickey.

              > Toons are mean
Life of a toon is Jim Crow. The hardest thing in the world is making a comedian laugh. Groucho Marx was famously the meanest SOB in Hollywood. He was raised in a childhood of poverty, and abuse at the hands of his mother. Toons are the same. That's why Jessica loved Roger. He was the only one who could make her laugh.

              >Toon religion
All toons speak Yiddish, but few are israeli. The religion of the toons is non-standard and complex. Some say their souls are made of the fire of the first magic lantern. Some say the toons soul is as black and dead as the iron and walnuts used to make ink. Some say they is no soul, and it's all a bad joke. Tijuana bibles, etc.

              >ashies.
The bottom dregs of the toon world. A crued sketch in the dirt of homeless camps. Often drawn by the cruelest humans on earth - children. As soon as the wind blows the dirt, they die. No one knows their mechnical origin.

No, Cool World started out as a horror movie, not just Roger Rabbit with sex. The artist guy would've gotten Debbie/Holly pregnant and she'd have a half-human half-toon kid who'd go on a murderous rampage.

While investigating, finds files pertaining to a similar drug south of the border and asks one of his informants about Toon Tonic. Finds out that it turns humans into toons and vice versa.
Following a lead, he and Roger find a chem lab and take a sample, turning roger intoa human.
Jessica stops by and asks Fredric to find Roger and asks him to turn himself in. Roger in his human form is seduced by Jessica.
After she leaves, Roger says that jessica isn't the real jessica! Her hair is a tad darker red, skin a tad pale.
Fredric suspects that the Roger that murdered the man, revealed to be the presiding judge of the new law, was someone else.
Tracing some samples of the remaining toon tonic, they go to a pharmaceutical company who is also funds the 50th Anniversary of Toontown being owned by Toons along with the construction of the acme Watertower.

Investigating Toon Tonic, they find that there were certain versions made prior. First batch only turned a human into a toon and vice versa for an hour. second batch, a month, third batch required a sample of the toons TNA (toon version of DNA). Roger recalls giving a bit of his fur and jessica's hair and kiss to a charity.
Following certain leads, they are led to the home of the head of an anti human/toon marriage group. Turns out said head is actually an ACME Dummy Corporation CEO (a literal dummy).
Tracing the Dummy, they head to a water plant where the CEO of pharmaceutical company along with roach henchmen are filling a water vat with DIP. Knocked out and bound with the real Jessica rabbit, CEO reveals that during the 50th celebration tonight, water tower will be active, sprinkler system will activate sprinkling whole celebration with DIP killing thousands of toons. A tragedy. His company with a few movie moguls backing will start shipping new batches of Toon Tonic, a version that only requires someone to think about the toon they wish to become.

Movie moguls were tired of paying two separate paychecks to both human and toon actors. By purchasing Toon tonic, their human actors can play as certain toons. Evidence placed that Roger was a supporter of anti human/toon and was involved in tragedy. Roger impostor shows up, but knocked into DIP below having his uses no longer required.
Impostor Jessica is CEOs girlfriend who turned into jessica, but likes her appearance, with plans of changing her hair color and name. Hangs jessica over dip to add Roger's frame-up as murder/suicide.
Fredric escapes and knock out Roach henchmen and fights CEO. CEO is revealed to be Judge Doom's human/toon hybrid offspring (bit of his face, arm, leg chest all toon) DIP has no effect on him. Human Roger fights Imposter Jessica while also saving Jessica as she was five inches away from DIP. Human Roger gets stabbed in the arm and shoves Impostor jessica into DIP who we see melt in her entirety.
Fredric struggles against CEO, but grabs a stray bottle of newer Toontonic and shoves it down CEO's throat as he falls into DIP. Grusome scene of human anatomy turning fully into a toon while melting at the same time.
Roger returns to being a Toon the next day, exonerated.
Subplot of fredric and his toon girlfriend dating. End of movie of them marrying due to human/toon law passing.

I've been playing with the idea of a Hentai toon wanting to break out into other roles but always being side lined because of her origins. >Liberty, Equality, Fraternity
European toons are different. They're regulated, but celebrated as artistic marvels. This is also the case in the Ottoman world. Animation is a serious art form instead of fun fodder. So the experience of toons is like that of Black Americans going to France during WWI.
But there's more than one way to kill a toon : burn their registered original and concept art. With so many animators being israeli or pro-Labor Union, and book burnings being all the rage, unknown numbers of toons were erased in the book burnings.

    >a parrellel world
Toons have an inner language, their own inner industries within their ghetto (Toon Town), even fraternal societies and internal celebrities. There's anti-human slurs, organizated crime, and an informal banking system, etc. Lots of writer's gold mine material there.

Step One: If you are doing artsy, don't reuse intellectual property unless you created it. That signals to connoisseurs you don't have a quality story capable of standing on its own two legs. If you are just trying to reuse familiar characters and style for Pleb Bucks, that's on you. Just don't cry when you get shredded in the honest reviews on an inverted aerial hot dog eating contest forum.

Step 2: The stakes for all the characters need to be high and felt by your audience. This is something Roger Rabbit and Co. did really well. It felt very gritty and alive. If anything I thought Roger was portrayed as unrealistically down and out at times.

Step 3 (or 1,): Work on your story craft. The industry is packed to the gills with utter dreck. We don't need any more, but we keep getting dreck by the truckload. Your characters need to believable relate with each other while staying true to themselves. Consider having your lovers smile at each other and show joy in each other company while your rival characters are tense, sour, mean, hostile, etc. when interacting.
