>set during the 80s pre mobile phones >Guy moves to the wilderness to get away from the responsibility of looking after his partner who has succumbed to Parkinson's disease, becomes a fire warden in a national park keeping watch for smoke stakes and doing general park maintainece and ranger shit >meets a woman a few years his senior over the radio who is always unseen but is his manager relaying off screen information and gradually getting to know him. both of them are somewhat guarded but friendly enough with each other >first act is dealing with usual park ranger stuff that are red herrings for the rest of the plot, comms lines going down, dealing with rowdy kids drinking in a lake that later turn up missing, ect all the while our two pinciple charachters are talking to each other constantly over the radio jabbing at each other to learn more, eventually get to break ins directly on the watch towers themselves
i cant say much more without spoilering the game itself but as they deal with the thriller element the plot plays with the idea of paranoia itself warping interpretations along with guilt and escapism influencing decisions while inventing cope to mentally escape from processing pain.
I did quite like firewatch. The plot was very engaging for a walking sim, and it could make a pretty good kino tbh.

i usually don't like the cell shaded art style but its used very well here and the enviroments add to the idea of isolation and apartness. the fact you can see her watchtower as a point of referance most of the time is a good choice.
The plot would not have worked without the dialogue and Voice acting being as good as they were, you can see that influence when Valve hired these devs to do the banter and dialogue writing for Half Life Alyx, where due to the slower movement in VR, having that talking in the background to sort of ground you in the setting really helps sell the story, despite being physically aware of your own body (as opposed to blanking out in a trance watching a screen)
Anything to watch him walk out of a smoking Metal Gear and say >slippery little bastard >youre making the mother of all omelettes here jack, cant fret over every egg
True, but also select video games. You couldn't get me to tune into Sundance this year or the next when I've got more appealing things to play on my backlog.
They didn't make a Halo show, they made some shitty space show that they knew wouldn't sell on its own merit sot why bought rights to use Halo aesthetics to make it more marketable.
An F-Zero movie would be fricking amazing.
Metroid would be cool too.
StarFox might be okay if you kept the furries in check.
Earthbound cannot be adapted.
Mario, Pokemon and Zelda would/did suck.
Do you honestly believe that we'd get some 1970s samurai movie made in Japan?
The reason Metro 2033 still doesn't have a movie adaptation is that the only people who would pick it up was israeli Hollywood, who wanted to set it in the New York subway with a cast of diverse goblins.
Street Fighter 2 the animated movie is pure kino.
Final Fantasy Tactics could become a TV series easily. They can even do the bullshit they did to Halo where the main character only appears in 10 minutes of every hour long episode because they keep jumping to Alma and Delita's/Ovelia's storylines.
Risk of Rain is a broad enough concept that it could be turned into a good movie.
I'm sure no one has ever heard of this game, but it has one of the best written games I've ever played. Dark Dreams Dont Die. Got cancelled too early and never got an ending
It's barely an hour long and has virtually no plot because it was unfinished, Swery was yet again trying to make a lynchian game, like he attempted with Deadly Premonition.
Crusader Kings >medieval noble kino >most of the movie is about the protagonist king thriving to reduce the size of his demesne and plotting to assassinate disloyal characters
Europa Universalis >comfy movie about how the German city of Ulm conquered the Mughal empire
>Streets of Rage
A dancer (female) and a black kid on rollerskates team up to beat up all the thugs and kangaroos on the streets of New York. They have super powers that are recharged by conventionally punching people, trash cannisters and road signs.
Probably none tbqh. Sekiro isn't lacking in kino moments, but it doesn't mean that the entire story would work as a movie. Ultimately it's just a story about a guy moving forward while fighting everything. He's immortal too, so no real tension.
>Just cut all filler with no talking bosses >change Sekiro immortality for the ability to see into the future with some holes so he can get some damaged from early bosses >put the merchant as someone who follow him through the movie >show us a glimpse of the shura ending as one of the possible futures but Sekiro changing the future with his will >make it mid-budget so the director needs to be creative
I would easily watch this, but to be honest
Mitsubisha/FromSoftware will have a movie made in the next 10 years since the success of Hideaki Anno directing Shin Godzilla.
Sekiro immortality for the ability to see into the future with some holes so he can get some damaged from early bosses
no just have him heal right back up just as in the manga >>show us a glimpse of the shura ending as one of the possible futures but Sekiro changing the future with his will
or just have the Sculptor going fire money mode to show what would happen to Sekiro
>Haydee
movie is a masked woman with absolutely gigantic massive milkers and asscheeks just running around, squatting, jumping and sitting down with her legs spread out
Would be a bit difficult to get an actress with those proportions, who is modest enough to have her face covered, but I think it could be kino
From games are all janky shitfests with obtuse item descriptions instead of a good cohesive story. Enjoying the games makes you a pleb and suggesting they make them into movies makes you a fricking moron.
>big bad evil guy in a cool helmet steals the Golden Axe and unleashes thousands of minions and orcs to burn and pillage the land in an invasion >beautiful depictions of masculinity and feminimity >a dwarf, a man, and a fire priestess in slinky outfits and ripped to the gills tear through the hordes hacking and slashing and using magic along the way >amazing Conan-esque setting, straight out of the pages of Frazzetta, Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell, and Luis Royo artwork >wall to wall sword fighting action against skeletons, orcs, lizardfolk >fantastical setting >room and story for a trilogy
White male lead, white female lead, white male dwarf. You don't stray from that formula and you keep it what it is, it would be gangbusters.
Adventure and rpg games come into mind
Any Monkey Island game could probably be adapted into a whacky action-comedy.
Gabriel Knight would be a kino horror
The Castlevania franchise could be adapted into a homo-buttsecks porn
Planescape Torment/fantasy
Deus Ex/sf

Trump. Unironically.
Anything to watch him walk out of a smoking Metal Gear and say
>slippery little bastard

frick, that'd actually be kino. even if he doesn't physically look like him, he has exactly the right aura

Halo was about as simple as it gets and they turned it into complete shit, so nothing.
They didn't make a Halo show, they made some shitty space show that they knew wouldn't sell on its own merit sot why bought rights to use Halo aesthetics to make it more marketable.
They turned it to shit on purpose
Prototype
prototype 2 would make a good anime if done right
Video can't be adapted to movies because film in an inferior medium.
Every character in the 64 smash bros, culminating with a team up movie
An F-Zero movie would be fricking amazing.
Metroid would be cool too.
StarFox might be okay if you kept the furries in check.

The reason Metro 2033 still doesn't have a movie adaptation is that the only people who would pick it up was israeli Hollywood, who wanted to set it in the New York subway with a cast of diverse goblins.
have you seen modern Japanese live-action movies?? it'd be just as bad as American, except for different reasons
Golden Eye or Battle Toads
Goldeneye is already based off of a movie. . .
oh shit.
Alien 3 then
Tenchu 2

i'd watch it
Fallout or Gears
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019
The campaign’s story was actually pretty good.
>you could have stopped watching any time
I think megaman X would make a nice series of movies. Pretty straight forward plot line with just enough cheesey drama to be campy in a fun way.
>Malcoman X
>Megamang X
>a guy press L1 for 90 minutes
amazing
>guy fights a giant shit throwing monkey
KINO
A movie could be a chance to fix the games biggest mistake in that you couldn't stick your spear up the monkeys ass.

They based that off a movies tho
I got one that beats all of them:
METROID
Street Fighter 2 the animated movie is pure kino.
Final Fantasy Tactics could become a TV series easily. They can even do the bullshit they did to Halo where the main character only appears in 10 minutes of every hour long episode because they keep jumping to Alma and Delita's/Ovelia's storylines.
Risk of Rain is a broad enough concept that it could be turned into a good movie.
Rapelay
Diablo
Dead Space 2 has the most perfect script/storyboarding of any videogame, so I’d say it.
It did have a very movie like story to it. I like the original Dead Space more but Dead Space 2 was fantastic.
Any year now. I just want a teaser image at this point.

runescape. doesnt have to have a plot. just keep changing the narrative everytime someone dies.

I hate video games so much
Who asked?
TWO
Bloodborne would be KINOA
>b-but what about le witty quippy dialoguerino???
Just have Eileen tag along, there you go
Star Craft would easily be a great movie. Maybe Diablo also
Starcraft is essentially an AvP movie.
Too Human
this should be a high budget miniseries
very good game and its still kind of a sleeper. many just don't know about it
System shock 2

>so no real tension
dragonrot
>invents a cure to your magical disease 15 minutes into the movie
it's not like they couldn't change things up a bit and
>and
anon?
>the movie uses the original intended "once per person" cure method
Then gets Dragonrot again, it is just a temporary solution, a patch
>kino scene where Wolf heals everyone before going off to die dozens of time to some boss
>Wolf heals everyone before going off to die dozens of time to some boss
that would just make them sick again (if im remembering how dragonrot works
Yes, but in the movie narrative they'd be under risk of death, so he'd have to use it just to stave it off for a bit.
>Just cut all filler with no talking bosses

will the Sekiro movie include this scene??
I love Emma, but this is hot. Especially the normal, not jump attack kill where you hold her with one arm
she's still warm, why doesn't he do anything?
Isshin wienerblocks him
>Fromsoft for once didn't do their bullshit obtuse storytelling and have actual characters
>it turns out to be kino
Stop relying on item descriptions to tell your story you hacks
but bloodborne has the best story
Base bloodborne no, but the DLC makes the story kino.

Music by Amon Tobin
Baldur's Gate, never winter nights, Divinity, PoE, Pathfinders. Skyrim, Morrowind, Oblivion, Daggerfall, etc

I love Sekiro so fricking much. The thought that we never get anything like it hurts me.
>scene where Wolf gets his soul stolen through his ass by a faceless headless fat guy
And then the Headless shoves it up it's own ass.
Mammario as Lulu.
Isabelle Monke as Rikku.
Still not sure on Yuna.
i often try to make a script for a fatal fury movie in my head
Japanese cannot act. How would you even cast an Eastern movie
Make them all white, just like every japanese video game and anime
.
Sekino is based. Owl the father is the best fight in the series and it's not even close.
Senran Kagura 1 and 2 but it would be too hard finding enough actresses that aren't just porn stars with breasts big enough to play the characters
>CUM, SEKIRO!!

bonus points it would be absolutely hilarious
i would love a Fahrenheit movie. it would be an utter mindfrick and i could take it in better than having to press buttons sporadically.

Though it'd come with the sad situation where both Millicent and Malenia would be cast as black women
