>king of sting
A funny detail in this is that when he drew the Asian caricature with the straw hat, buck teeth etc. he gave them big dicks. As if he was like "This is how I get them onboard, they'll forgive the rest of it because of the big dick."
Is that the one where it was the little weirdo that looked like Chris Kattan? I know he has acted in stuff before but everyone in LA is trying to do that
What's funnier than the entire Ghost Realtor episode is the callback later where they get a new psychic, try to talk to the old fat dead psychic, and he says the dead one found out "new information" about OJ Simpson
>electronics store black-tie dress code with a velvet rope >tvs stored in the back behind a little goblin door >crawl through >there's an alligator
for me it's speers tv
Also the celebration / special is really underrated >Nathan arguing with the skater kid and the doctor about the vegana on the tattoo >Anthony Napoli holocaust denial >Private investigator softcore porn >Anthony Napoli wasted 15 seconds of self-promotion
>objectively the finale
you're not wrong but at the same time, it's almost unfair to compare the finale to the rest of the show because it's basically a completely different show like a documentary exploring the love and regret and aging and ends up being quite profound.
in terms of pure nathan for you episodes, for me it's
- the hunk
- ghost realtor
- souvenir shop
- private investigator
- 24/7 antique shop
All of them. The finale actually depends on you watching all of it. Not for the fact that it references each episode, but the fact that it winds up for a really good punch.
A lot of the people in the show have social media accounts that show they were freaks before and after their appearance on the show. If he was faking this then he would have gotten exposed several times already.
LA is full of full of insane people that will go along with whatever as long as they appear on TV.
my ex girlfriend used to live in Glendale and she said it was basically all Armenians. I had no idea she was basically on the turf where this show was made. She would have recognized it too but she thought the show was too mean and stopped
Idk about The Rehearsal as Trish's blog post about an NDA is ambiguous at best but, most anecdotes from "actors" on NFY claim the "auditions" were for a MTV reality show pilot. All of the content is real, not necessarily the context it's shown in, accept Nathan altering the narrative as more entertaining than having him freeze frame and break character to explain things.
the girlfriend from the hero did an ama on reddit. she could tell nathan was wearing a mask but thought it would be a famous actor under it so she went along with the whole thing
did her NDA not apply somehow? I'm surprised she admitted that she just went along with it. That certainly doesn't ruin anything for me anyway. She obviously knew she was being filmed so she had some sense of "going along with whatever" already
Ghost realtor is some of the most insane television I've ever seen. Nathan's genuine reaction where he slightly breaks character is amazing >wait, you were choked by a ghost in Switzerland?
Also, the antique store's ending. SHOUTOUTS TO J SQUAAAAAD
They are all pretty great. The only one that I don't like is the first ep with the poop ice cream. All the other business schemes has a sliver or a good idea in them. Making poop ice cream will not help the business at all.
First ep feels more like a sketch comedy than the others
Dammit, I just recommended this show to a friend and now you have me all worried that the first episode sucks ass. It’s been years since I’ve seen that one
As the anon said, almost all of the ideas on the show have the goal of improving the business in one form or another and the ideas make sense even if you have to bend your perceptions a little bit. With the shit ice cream ep there is nothing to be gained from it. In no way would this help the ice cream store.
The one with the smoke detector musical instrument was great. It somehow morphed into "we have to hire a fake Shell gas employee so that we can create a fake video that shows that Shell stole the song we made with the smoke detector"
Seethe harder ricecel. Thailand exists for white men of all ages to get unfettered access to thai women who hate thai men and their tiny thai dicks. Cope.
Yes if you're a fan of awkward/cringe moments mixed in with chaos. All of Nathan's moments with women in general are so fricking uncomfortable it's amazing.
Any episode with this mother fricker >Nathan: "...so I'm wearing the huge suit, like I'm a Dick Tracy villain..." >Salomon: "haha Dick Tracy villain..."
Frick yeah dude I have a copy of this too and it’s one of my prized possessions. Spent months starting the night that episode aired trying to find any of the other issues of Diarrhea Times and only ever came across the first one. Pretty much the second the episode was done airing I hopped on eBay and got mine in pristine condition for $10 after shipping and watched the prices soar for a few weeks before it disappeared entirely from online marketplaces.
Nice. Usually when I want to buy something like that it isn’t too pricey to scare me away, but it’s not worth $500+ to me. Not by a long shot. You should work on getting Nathan to sign it.
You read my mind bro. I’ve actually done exactly that with some other pieces of memorabilia and movie posters I have, most recently and notable was a couple years back I met David Naughton (the actor pictured) and got him to sign my original lobby card from American Werewolf in London. The one I have is almost identical to this one, it’s from the same scene but it’s zoomed out from this shot so it shows his hand as it’s stretching while he screams, it belonged to my dad and used to freak me out as a kid. I’d take a pic for proof but I’m not at home right now
Ghost Realtor will always be my go to but the Hero is the one I play people when I want to blow blow their mind who haven’t seen the show. I usually have to show them more stuff though to convince anyone that it isn’t entirely scripted. As far as bits go my favorites are probably the doinkit, the interview with a little kid dictating, and the soundproof hotel sex box
Dumb Starbucks >Lawyer tells them they could get sued >And if we get sued, you'd...be liable too, right? >No, I'd have to be involved. >But the contract you just signed says you would be liable >No it doesn't >Shows contract >I didn't sign that >Clip to him signing it, "I must be a dumbass not reading what I sign"
Every time he punks people with hidden film release clauses I lose my shit
Can anyone give me advice on how to handle candid cringe comedy like Nathan For You and Nirvanna the Band the Show? I can handle Borat just fine because the people getting pranked deserve it but I just feel so uncomfortable with how randos aren't in on the joke. On my first attempt to watch the show, I made it as far as Nathan attempting to throw the guy onto the train tracks and then the guy physically handling Nathan afterwards.
All are good but the best
-the rebate
-king of sting
-Uber
-Best Buy
-ghost realtor
-finding frances
>king of sting
A funny detail in this is that when he drew the Asian caricature with the straw hat, buck teeth etc. he gave them big dicks. As if he was like "This is how I get them onboard, they'll forgive the rest of it because of the big dick."
>-the rebate
this. this right here
This homie just saved 15 percent or more on car insurance.
the one where he finally realizes it's not the early 2000s and he's not in high school anymore.
t. didn't watch the show
Anything with "the" in the name
The rebate
The claw of shame
The movement
The hero
I forgot the anecdote
and I meant the hunk not the rebate
I wish I could watch this show, it's really good but I can't handle the cringe
I think that’s the main complaint I’ve heard of people that don’t watch it. Some people also think he’s mean
The only time I ever thought the cringe was too much was the I love you scene, god that was awful
This chick used to make videos for free for anyone who requested them on Twitter. She’d go “I love you, anon”
she's sure got some nice fat milkers. how many of these hoors did nathan force to suck him off u think?
God she's so cute
>My whole life I've been sexualized by men
That poor girl, facing such vile oppression
What does that pic have to do with the girl from the show? That’s not her
you know exactly what
The Hero is great. Feels like the prototype for Rehearsal. Finding Francis is peak N4Y though.
The one where he throws the gay schizo a party on a boat?
Pink hot dogs. Great one.
Is that the one where it was the little weirdo that looked like Chris Kattan? I know he has acted in stuff before but everyone in LA is trying to do that
yeah I can see the resemblance
Rewatching it now after seeing the first ep of The Rehearsal. It really is pure kino. Hard to believe it's almost ten years old now.
>Hard to believe it's almost ten years old now.
holy shit where did the time go...
Best will always be the Best Burger in LA
>What do you want? $100 or an academy award?
>$100
The black lady acting like it was the most disgusting thing she ever had legit pissed me off
I think 62 people got the 100$, I bet they pulled in more than 200 people though. Not so bad when Nathan is paying the promo
Yeah hated her. Also the old white woman that was spitting it out.
That's why it's so great, they all get exposed to the world as pathetic greedy individuals
That one made me mad. The one guy actually seething and threatening to sue
Ghost Realtor
The Hunk
Dumb Starbucks
Gas Rebate
Finding Frances
Also the Haunted House is the same episode as the hunk, which is really good if you imagine what those people are thinking.
I don’t know why Ghost Realtor is so popular. That one makes me cringe so fricking hard
What's funnier than the entire Ghost Realtor episode is the callback later where they get a new psychic, try to talk to the old fat dead psychic, and he says the dead one found out "new information" about OJ Simpson
>electronics store black-tie dress code with a velvet rope
>tvs stored in the back behind a little goblin door
>crawl through
>there's an alligator
for me it's speers tv
objectively the finale
personal favorites are the film festival one and
Agree with this guy
Also the celebration / special is really underrated
>Nathan arguing with the skater kid and the doctor about the vegana on the tattoo
>Anthony Napoli holocaust denial
>Private investigator softcore porn
>Anthony Napoli wasted 15 seconds of self-promotion
>private investigator and Nathan throwing the pigskin around
>ghost guy talking about how OJ is innocent
>objectively the finale
you're not wrong but at the same time, it's almost unfair to compare the finale to the rest of the show because it's basically a completely different show like a documentary exploring the love and regret and aging and ends up being quite profound.
in terms of pure nathan for you episodes, for me it's
- the hunk
- ghost realtor
- souvenir shop
- private investigator
- 24/7 antique shop
>tell a psychiatrist he thinks he's owned an electronics store for the past 20 years.
He's just not rooted within reality
All of them. The finale actually depends on you watching all of it. Not for the fact that it references each episode, but the fact that it winds up for a really good punch.
for me, it's the electronic store and the war with uber episode, whatever that was called
Ezra fell off
ezra is a greek god compared to the loser in OP
The one where they fake it with paid actors who sign NDA's before filming and then they edit it deceptively in post. That was wild!
we did it reddit
Absolute cope
A lot of the people in the show have social media accounts that show they were freaks before and after their appearance on the show. If he was faking this then he would have gotten exposed several times already.
LA is full of full of insane people that will go along with whatever as long as they appear on TV.
The bread and butter of Nathan For You is fame seeking weirdos and immigrants who don't know any better.
>immigrants who don't know any better
lol definitely a recurring theme
Nathan built his career off the backs of the Armenian community of Glendale.
my ex girlfriend used to live in Glendale and she said it was basically all Armenians. I had no idea she was basically on the turf where this show was made. She would have recognized it too but she thought the show was too mean and stopped
i love the car wash bit for how much the owner went along with nathan's craziness
>wow, that's great! it looks just like mother nature
Even if this is true for ALL moments of this show, who cares? It’s still a very funny show regardless
You sound like the losers that go on about how wrestling is fake. You’re missing the point
Why does that matter? it's a television show
It's the bitter type of autism that causes anons like that one to sperg out.
Idk about The Rehearsal as Trish's blog post about an NDA is ambiguous at best but, most anecdotes from "actors" on NFY claim the "auditions" were for a MTV reality show pilot. All of the content is real, not necessarily the context it's shown in, accept Nathan altering the narrative as more entertaining than having him freeze frame and break character to explain things.
the girlfriend from the hero did an ama on reddit. she could tell nathan was wearing a mask but thought it would be a famous actor under it so she went along with the whole thing
>cuddly, smiling, loving penis receptacle
>trades it for a repugnant asexual turbodyke
that moron just craves misery
did her NDA not apply somehow? I'm surprised she admitted that she just went along with it. That certainly doesn't ruin anything for me anyway. She obviously knew she was being filmed so she had some sense of "going along with whatever" already
>she had some sense of "going along with whatever"
yeah she did... huehuehue
This is probably not true, but I'll just try to imagine they're all paid actors whenever I can't stomach some of the cringe.
>tfw no freakishly tall kinda qt but with a weird face wannabe christian pop singer gf
what episode is she in again? I almost thought you were saying Nathan was dating her kek
One of the contestants from The Hunk. I just watched it and she mentioned she was trying to be a pop singer so I looked her up.
Seems like she’s doing alright. That actually shows that a lot of people Nathan gets are just people desperate for any sort of media attention
For me... it's the tasty Asian with the rack.
I don't believe you, post screenshot
You failed
here u go
Another failure.
lol i have better hair
This is the most closeted homosexual post I have ever read, literally. I've read a lot, but this takes the cake.
Its pretty blatantly gay not even closeted
Was this from an episode or just when he guested on something?
The talk show anecdote episode.
Built for the British broadcasting company
>_
Again.
It was funny when the taxi company guy realized working as an Uber driver was more financially sustainable than trying to fight Uber.
There all equally 10/10
>"dey use dis kinda stuff we be doon ta help fine dem missin keedz"
Ghost realtor is some of the most insane television I've ever seen. Nathan's genuine reaction where he slightly breaks character is amazing
>wait, you were choked by a ghost in Switzerland?
Also, the antique store's ending. SHOUTOUTS TO J SQUAAAAAD
>if only you knew how tasty things could really be
the gas rebate one was pure kino
i liked the one where people had to climb a mountain at a certain time to get a rebate.
also the one with the tvs in the tiny room
They are all pretty great. The only one that I don't like is the first ep with the poop ice cream. All the other business schemes has a sliver or a good idea in them. Making poop ice cream will not help the business at all.
I immediately skipped the first episode for that exact reason. seemed pointless and dumb. idk why he chose to lead with it.
i really liked this movie but the ending was so abrupt
what mooby
Looks like gone girl
First ep feels more like a sketch comedy than the others
Dammit, I just recommended this show to a friend and now you have me all worried that the first episode sucks ass. It’s been years since I’ve seen that one
just tell them to skip the first ep
Isn't that the one where he does job interviews with a 7 year old telling him what to say? Should be fine
wait what’s the problem with the poop ice cream one? it’s a great first episode
it’s a genuinely interesting idea but obviously it’s ridiculous
As the anon said, almost all of the ideas on the show have the goal of improving the business in one form or another and the ideas make sense even if you have to bend your perceptions a little bit. With the shit ice cream ep there is nothing to be gained from it. In no way would this help the ice cream store.
I like how to with john wilson as well
The one with the smoke detector musical instrument was great. It somehow morphed into "we have to hire a fake Shell gas employee so that we can create a fake video that shows that Shell stole the song we made with the smoke detector"

>its all cringy white people.
Yuck
Seethe harder ricecel. Thailand exists for white men of all ages to get unfettered access to thai women who hate thai men and their tiny thai dicks. Cope.
hes probably a white guy pretending to be a white lib pretending to be asian
should i watch this
Yes if you're a fan of awkward/cringe moments mixed in with chaos. All of Nathan's moments with women in general are so fricking uncomfortable it's amazing.
The one where he lynches joggers
thread theme:
I don’t know if it’s better or worse when a segment ends with the owner obviously annoyed by Nathan but not explicitly saying so.
Any episode with this mother fricker
>Nathan: "...so I'm wearing the huge suit, like I'm a Dick Tracy villain..."
>Salomon: "haha Dick Tracy villain..."
The special episode was funny too. His little interview with the threesome guy.
ive fallen in love with the pink haired girl in smoking allowed.
just set up a basic nathan-style manipulation scenario and you can easily frick her.
Of course The Gas Rebate is genius, but I love The Antique Store.
When he baited that drunk dude to try and squeeze through the thin aisles to get the pizza, I lost it.
why do Americans love our comedy so much, bros?
>Nathan for you
>trailer park boys
>Kenny vs spenny
Americans love letterkenny too
but I'm Canadian and I do not
Is Kenny vs Spenny anywhere near as good as the other two?
Now that you mention it
>Norm
>Tom Green
Maybe you leaf's are good for something after all.

Austin Bowers is underrated, autistic black guys have so few role models in media.
Anyone actually check out the Rehearsal?
not the favorite episode but this was probably one of the best scenes
?t=107
I did. If you liked NFY, you'll probably like this too.
yeah it seems like a lot of people did on here
GOAT IN THE WATER! GOAT IN THE WATER!

The Rehersal is such a trip.
Its like therapy. Like The Game with Michael Douglas.

Just noticed Comedy Central streamed a bunch of episodes on youtube, so if you've never seen the show it's a pretty good place to start.
